Chapter 733: Fuck Was the Correct Response
Bruno and Paren frowned the moment the explosion completely swallowed Garion.
Even through the projection screens, they could tell just how terrifying Volkrath’s divine meteors were.
Paren’s expression tightened as he stared at the enormous burning crater. "Damn it, Garion. Why the hell couldn’t you just dodge?"
Bruno slowly nodded, his eyes never leaving the projection. "Yeah. With his speed and gravity control, he should’ve been able to avoid that without much trouble."
He released a tired sigh. "Although... what else should we expect from that nutcase?"
The Volcanion envoys watched with calm confidence, while Varkhazan’s lips curved slightly upward.
From their perspective, willingly taking an attack from a genuine God head-on was nothing short of stupidity.
Rachel and the others, however, did not panic.
Rachel’s hands remained lightly clenched, but her expression was steady as she watched the flames raging across the battlefield.
Bruno noticed her unusual calm and glanced toward her. "Rachel, you’re not worried?"
Rachel kept her eyes fixed on the projection. "If it’s only at this level, there’s no reason to worry."
Paren immediately turned toward her.
Dahlia crossed her arms and nodded as though Rachel’s answer was completely reasonable. "Yeah. We should worry about whatever comes after this."
Valtor looked at the burning crater with obvious excitement. "Master isn’t getting taken down by a few oversized burning rocks."
Seira gave him a cold sideways glance. "Quiet. Watch properly."
Just as Rachel had predicted, laughter suddenly echoed from within the burning crater. "Hahaha!"
Several Volcanion envoys immediately stiffened.
The raging flames parted.
Garion’s figure slowly became visible in the center of the destruction, standing in exactly the same place where the first meteor had struck him.
His body remained completely unharmed. Even his clothes had not suffered the slightest damage.
Purple-black-white light pulsed faintly beneath his skin, while the space directly surrounding his body bent into strange overlapping layers.
Only upon looking carefully could one realize what had actually happened.
The meteor had reached Garion.
Yet at the final instant, the space and gravity surrounding his body had distorted so violently that the attack had never truly touched him.
Garion lowered his gaze toward the charred and shattered ground around him before looking back toward Volkrath. "Your meteors are pretty damn strong."
He casually brushed some nonexistent dust from his shoulder. "Too bad they’re not strong enough against the powerful me."
Garion pointed toward himself with a thumb. "They couldn’t even fucking touch me."
Volkrath stared at him for a brief moment before suddenly laughing. "Hahaha! Garion, it seems you truly weren’t merely boasting."
His enormous draconic wings spread wide behind him. "You really are quite powerful."
The crimson sky above them began to darken.
Volkrath’s divine pressure rose another level as volcanic clouds spread across the heavens. "Now that I know this much..."
His golden-red eyes burned brighter. "I can become considerably more serious."
Volkrath raised both clawed hands toward the sky. "Let me show you something more appropriate."
BOOOOOOM!
Crimson Divine Energy erupted violently from his entire body and spread across the Low Grade World.
The barren land began cracking apart.
Mountains in the distance trembled before their surfaces started melting beneath the rapidly increasing heat.
The sky transformed into a vast sea of volcanic clouds, glowing crimson-red and molten gold.
RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
Enormous rivers of lava burst from beneath the shattered earth.
Pillars of divine fire erupted toward the heavens, some stretching thousands of kilometers high.
Volcanoes formed one after another across the previously barren landscape, releasing endless smoke, magma, and divine flames.
Within only a few breaths, the entire empty Low Grade World had transformed.
What had once been a lifeless wasteland was now an apocalyptic volcanic world.
Volkrath floated high above the burning land, crimson flames surrounding his enormous divine dragon form like a crown.
At that moment, he looked less like a cultivator and more like the absolute ruler of a world-sized furnace.
He spread both arms. "Garion."
His voice echoed throughout the burning world. "Welcome to my divine domain."
Garion slowly looked around and instead of becoming cautious, Garion’s eyes practically lit up "Now this is fucking better."
Purple-black-white power began moving around his body as the nearby flames warped beneath the gravitational distortion surrounding him.
Garion looked directly at Volkrath. "You better show me your real power this time."
Volkrath burst into loud laughter at his response. "Hahaha!"
His golden-red eyes burned with increasingly fierce battle intent. "Then don’t blame me if you die, Garion."
Garion immediately laughed back, completely refusing to be intimidated. "Hahaha! Of course."
His strange eyes sharpened as gravity began twisting the burning world around him. "But I seriously doubt you can fucking do it."
The two stared at each other across the volcanic world.
One surrounded by raging Divine Energy. The other wrapped in distorted gravity and strange purple-black-white light.
Both wore the same excited expression. Neither had any intention of backing down.
---
Volkrath’s battle intent surged even higher as divine flames rolled around his massive draconic body. "Be ready, Garion."
Garion rolled his shoulders once, his excitement still obvious. "I’ve been ready."
Volkrath slowly raised one clawed hand.
Crimson-gold Divine Energy immediately gathered beside him, compressing rapidly until even the surrounding volcanic flames were dragged toward it.
HUMMMMM!
A massive weapon began taking shape within the condensed divine light.
It was an enormous volcanic halberd.
Its dark crimson blade resembled several burning dragon fangs fused together, while magma-like divine patterns crawled across the long shaft like living veins.
Every pulse of those patterns released enough heat to distort the surrounding space.
Volkrath closed his clawed hand around the weapon.
RUMBLE!
The entire volcanic world trembled.
Lava rivers surged violently, distant volcanoes erupted at once, and cracks spread across the already shattered land beneath the pressure radiating from the halberd.
Garion’s gaze immediately focused on the weapon.
Volkrath lifted it with one hand. "Then witness my first divine ability."
Garion’s grin sharpened as purple-black-white light flickered through his eyes. "Come on."
Volkrath disappeared, and when he reappeared, he was floating thousands of kilometers away. He then hurled his halberd downward.
"[Volcanion Godslayer Descent]!"
The moment Garion saw the descending halberd, his expression finally changed.
"FUCK!"
