Chapter 722: The Dragons Start Moving
On God Gym’s side, Rachel ended the communication call and remained quiet for a moment.
Soon afterward, she raised one hand and sent out a message.
A few breaths later, Dahlia arrived.
She walked into the room with her usual relaxed confidence and looked toward Rachel. "What’s the matter, Rachel?"
Rachel regarded her calmly. "Dahlia, we’ll be receiving some guests soon."
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Guests?"
Rachel nodded. "Yes. And this matter is connected to you."
Dahlia immediately pointed at herself. "Huh? Me?"
"Yes." Rachel folded her arms. "The guests belong to a dragon clan from another world. According to Bruno, they seem to represent one of the top dragon clans, so every envoy coming here should be powerful. At the very least, they’re probably Celestial Realm cultivators."
Dahlia’s expression shifted slightly.
A moment later, amusement appeared on her face. "Sounds like some troublesome shit is brewing."
Rachel continued, "They seem curious about God Gym, but I think they’re mostly interested in you."
Dahlia crossed her arms. "Because I’m a human who somehow turned into a dragon, and not just some ordinary dragon either?"
Rachel nodded. "Most likely. That’s exactly why I’m telling you first."
Her expression became slightly more serious. "Please mind your attitude when they arrive."
Dahlia stared at her for a second before releasing a sigh. "Rachel, even if I fix my attitude... what about Master Garion?"
Rachel’s face immediately stiffened.
For a brief moment, she had absolutely no answer.
If they were talking about poor attitudes toward important guests, Garion was the real fucking disaster.
Dahlia noticed Rachel’s silence and let out a small, amused laugh. "See?"
Rachel helplessly rubbed her forehead. "I’ll deal with him later. For now, tell the others to mind their behavior when they head to [Divine Celestial Gym Island No.1]. That’s where we’ll receive the guests."
Dahlia nodded. "Alright. When are they arriving?"
Rachel thought about it for a moment. "I’m not sure."
Dahlia tilted her head. "Not sure?"
Rachel turned toward the distant sky beyond the window. "Judging by how proud they seem, I doubt they’ll simply use a teleportation platform to come here. They’ll probably travel aboard their own ship, perhaps even a proper envoy vessel belonging to their clan."
Dahlia immediately understood what she meant.
Travel between worlds was rarely quick, even for powerful cosmic factions, especially when large vessels were involved.
Rachel continued, "So it may take some time. Perhaps one or two months, depending on their route and how far away their world is."
Dahlia’s eyes shifted slightly. "I see..."
She turned toward the direction of the [Divine Celestial Ascension Hall], where Garion was still undergoing his closed-door ascension. "Then don’t worry too much."
Rachel looked toward her.
Dahlia casually added, "Master Garion might come out by the time they arrive."
Rachel followed her gaze toward the distant hall.
For several seconds, she remained silent. Eventually, she released a quiet sigh. "I hope so."
---
Inside the Verdest Dragon Clan, news of the Volcanion Dragon Clan’s movements quickly spread among the higher-ranking elders.
Several important clan members gathered inside a green-gold hall filled with ancient trees, towering dragon statues, and floating jade lamps.
Their expressions were serious, though none of them appeared particularly alarmed.
One of the clan members stepped forward and looked toward an elderly dragon seated near the center of the hall. "Elder Ryvane."
The old dragon slowly opened his eyes.
Deep green light flashed within them for a brief moment.
The clan member continued carefully, "The Volcanion Dragon Clan’s envoys have entered the Astral Cosmic Universe. Do we need to..."
"No need," Ryvane interrupted calmly.
The others immediately fell silent.
Ryvane’s long green horns curved backward from his head, while faint emerald scales covered parts of his face and hands.
His aura felt ancient, stable, and filled with the quiet authority of someone who had lived long enough that very few things could truly disturb him.
"The Volcanion Dragon Clan belongs to the Red Dragon Race, while we belong to the Green Dragon Race. They came here because of their own interests and their own pride."
Ryvane rested one hand against the arm of his chair. "We have no reason to rush over simply because members of a major dragon clan entered the Astral Cosmic Universe."
The surrounding clan members nodded in understanding.
Ryvane continued, "If they wanted to meet with us first, they would have sent word directly. Since they haven’t, let them move however they please."
The dragon standing before him lowered his head. "Yes, Elder."
Ryvane calmly closed his eyes again, clearly considering the matter finished.
Meanwhile, in another region belonging to the Verdest Dragon Clan, Varan stood before Patriarch Dravion.
Compared to Ryvane’s calm indifference, Varan’s expression carried noticeably more concern. "Patriarch, the Volcanion envoys have arrived."
Dravion sat at the head of the hall with one hand resting against the arm of his chair. His deep red eyes sharpened slightly as he considered the information.
Varan continued, "What should we do?"
For a moment, Dravion said nothing.
Unlike Ryvane, he understood exactly why the Volcanion Dragon Clan had suddenly taken an interest in this region.
The information that had attracted them in the first place had come from him.
He had passed reports concerning God Gym, Kaelvar Ignis, and the strange young dragon who had defeated Kaelvar to the main clan.
That information had clearly traveled farther than expected.
Eventually, Dravion spoke. "They came because of the information we provided."
Varan remained silent and listened carefully. "Even if we do nothing right now, they’ll eventually contact us."
Varan immediately understood what he meant.
Dravion continued, "There’s no reason for us to act overly eager."
His expression remained calm. "Although we aren’t from one of the top dragon clans ourselves, the main clan behind us is hardly weak. More importantly, we and the Volcanion Dragon Clan both belong to the Red Dragon Race."
He tapped one finger lightly against the armrest. "We don’t need to rush over and make ourselves look desperate simply because they arrived."
Varan nodded slowly.
Dravion added, "For now, prepare Kaelvar."
Varan paused. "Kaelvar?"
Dravion nodded. "Yes. They should send someone to contact us sooner or later."
A faint seriousness entered his eyes. "When they do, we’ll accompany them to God Gym."
Varan’s expression sharpened.
Dravion continued, "You, me, and Kaelvar."
Varan immediately lowered his head. "Understood."
