Chapter 34: Ch 34- The Black Fang Team
After the groups were divided, Mo Yuan followed the instructions and went to meet his assigned team. He soon arrived at the designated gathering point.
Four Cultivators were already waiting there.
Mo Yuan glanced at them one by one.
All four were at the Late Stage of the Origin Vessel Realm.
This was clearly not a weak team.
The first person was a man in his late twenties. He was tall and slim, with a calm expression and a long sword hanging from his waist.
He noticed Mo Yuan approaching and looked over.
This was Mo Shan, he was a sword user and had reached the Late Stage of the Origin Vessel Realm.
The second person was a burly man nearly two meters tall. His arms were thick, his shoulders were broad, and his body looked like it was made for fighting.
He carried a large axe on his back.
This was Ha Fei.
He was also at the Late Stage of the Origin Vessel Realm, and from his appearance alone, it was obvious that he relied heavily on physical strength.
The third person was a woman.
She had long black hair tied behind her head and wore simple combat clothing that allowed her to move freely. She stood quietly to one side without saying anything.
Her name was Yin Yue, she was also a Late Stage Origin Vessel Realm Cultivator.
The final person was a young man with a slightly thin body and a pair of sharp eyes. He wasn’t as muscular as Ha Fei, nor did he have the sharp aura of Mo Shan.
However, Mo Yuan could still sense that his strength was not weak.
His name was Mu Chen.
He was also a Late Stage Origin Vessel Realm Cultivator.
Mo Yuan looked at the four of them.
’All four are Late Stage Origin Vessel Realm.’
’This should be one of the stronger Origin Vessel Realm teams.’
Just as Mo Yuan was observing them, Mo Shan stepped forward.
"You should be Mo Yuan, right?"
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Yes."
Mo Shan smiled slightly.
"I’m Mo Shan. I’m the leader of this team."
He pointed toward the burly man.
"This is Ha Fei."
Ha Fei grinned and waved his hand.
"Hello, Brother Mo Yuan."
Mo Shan then pointed toward the woman.
"This is Yin Yue."
Yin Yue nodded at Mo Yuan.
"Hello."
Finally, Mo Shan introduced the last person.
"And this is Mu Chen."
Mu Chen gave Mo Yuan a small smile.
"Nice to meet you."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"I’m Mo Yuan. Nice to meet all of you."
Ha Fei looked Mo Yuan up and down.
"You look pretty young."
Mo Yuan smiled.
"I am."
Ha Fei laughed.
"Interesting. The Yan Family really put a young guy into our team."
Mu Chen glanced at Ha Fei.
"Don’t judge people by their age."
"I know, I know."
Ha Fei waved his hand.
"I’m just saying."
Mo Shan smiled.
"Don’t worry about him. Ha Fei has always been straightforward."
"I’m standing right here," Ha Fei complained.
Yin Yue couldn’t help but smile. It was obvious that the four of them already knew each other well.
They spoke naturally with one another, and there was no awkwardness between them. Mo Yuan could tell that they had probably worked together many times before.
After a short conversation, Mo Shan looked at Mo Yuan seriously.
"Since you’re joining our team, I’ll explain a few things first."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Go ahead."
"Our team has worked together for quite some time."
Mo Shan paused.
"We have fought Beasts together many times, so we understand each other’s fighting styles."
"We call ourselves the Black Fang Team."
Ha Fei immediately grinned.
"Don’t underestimate the name."
Mu Chen laughed.
"We didn’t come up with it ourselves. Ha Fei insisted on it."
"It sounds cool and powerful!"
Ha Fei defended himself.
"What is wrong with it?"
Yin Yue shook her head helplessly.
"Nothing."
Mo Yuan smiled.
"The Black Fang Team?"
Mo Shan nodded.
"Yes."
"Although you’re new to the team, you don’t need to worry too much. As long as we cooperate properly, we shouldn’t have any problems dealing with ordinary Intermediate Beasts."
Mo Yuan nodded.
He wasn’t worried at all.
In fact, he was much stronger than everyone here, with all his talents and boosts had around 600,000 jin strength, he can cook most of the low level Origin Sea Realm cultivator and low level advance beasts.
Also don’t forget he also has comprehended Saber momentum which is at Major achievement stage.

Mo Shan then took out a map. He spread it across a nearby stone table and everyone immediately gathered around.
"This is the area we have been assigned."
Mo Shan pointed toward a marked region on the map.
"Our target is about fifty-five kilometers away from Dong Hai Base."
Mo Yuan looked carefully at the map. The area wasn’t too far from the base compared to the true depths of the Wilderness.
However, fifty-five kilometers was already far enough that they couldn’t treat the journey casually.
The region was outside the safe zone, there would be many Beasts there.
"According to the information provided by the Yan Family, this area has a large number of Low-level and Intermediate Beasts."
Mo Shan continued.
"Our main mission is to clear the area."
"Low-level Beasts aren’t a problem but if we encounter Intermediate Beasts we must run."
"We need to kill as many as possible and clear the dangerous Beast groups."
Ha Fei rubbed his hands together.
"Sounds like a good hunting trip to me."
Yin Yue glanced at him.
"Don’t get too excited. The Wilderness isn’t a hunting ground where you can do whatever you want."
"I know."
Ha Fei laughed.
"I’ve survived this long, haven’t I?"
Mu Chen looked at the map.
"Do we have any information about powerful Beasts?"
Mo Shan nodded.
"The Yan Family’s information says that there shouldn’t be any intermediate or Advanced Beasts in this area."
"Shouldn’t?"
Ha Fei raised an eyebrow.
Mo Shan smiled bitterly.
"The Wilderness is too large. Nobody can guarantee that there won’t be an unexpected Beast."
"Especially since the area hasn’t been cleared for a long time."
Yin Yue nodded.
"That’s why we need to stay alert."
Mo Shan continued.
"If we encounter a Beast we can’t deal with, we retreat immediately."
"No one is allowed to act recklessly."
His eyes swept across everyone.
"Remember, the mission is to clear the area, not to die there."
Mo Yuan nodded silently, he agreed with this point that Wilderness was dangerous and unpredictable. No matter how strong someone was, there was always a stronger Beast somewhere.
Knowing when to retreat was one of the most important skills for surviving.
Mo Shan rolled up the map.
"We’ll leave immediately."
Everyone prepared their equipment.
Mo Yuan checked his own supplies. He carried several bottles of healing liquid, some food and water, and his weapons.
He had brought his Refined Iron Blade openly. His Black Shadow Saber was hidden carefully.
There was no reason to reveal it unless absolutely necessary.
After everything was ready, the five Cultivators left the gathering area. The large expedition force had already begun moving.
Thousands of Cultivators were heading toward the Wilderness in an organized formation.
The scene was quite spectacular.
Groups moved separately but maintained a certain distance from each other.
The stronger teams were positioned in areas where they could respond quickly if something unexpected happened.
Mo Yuan walked with the Black Fang Team.
Ha Fei was the most talkative among them.
He occasionally pointed toward distant areas and told Mo Yuan about some of the Beasts they had encountered before.
"Brother Mo, this is your first time going this far from the base, right?"
Ha Fei asked.
Mo Yuan nodded.
"First time with a team."
Ha Fei laughed.
"Then remember one thing. Never underestimate the Beasts."
Mo Yuan nodded.
"I’ll remember."
Yin Yue glanced at Mo Yuan.
"You seem quite calm."
"Well, I’m built different."
Mo Yuan smiled.
Yin Yue looked at him for a moment before nodding.
Mo Shan, who was walking at the front, glanced back at them.
"We’re almost outside the safe zone."
Everyone immediately became more serious.
