Golden light flashed frequently; this Soul Summoning ability was facing a huge challenge.

This might be the only time since this ability appeared that the person casting Soul Summoning had a summoning target that was his own Soul.

But it still made perfect sense, because Wen Yan had long since lost his Soul; his Soul had been given to his dumb son.

On the other side, the golden light beneath Wen Yan’s feet flared, and a soft eerie blue glow emerged within the Gold.

An eerie blue tentacle, only a little over one meter thick but three or four kilometers long, burst out of the golden light.

The gigantic tentacle coiled around the Dahlia was swept by the eerie blue tentacle and passed through it like a phantom; that massive tentacle didn’t suffer any injury at all.

However, as the eerie blue tentacle floated past it lightly, the phantom of an octopus tentacle was drawn out.

In the air, the fierce, violent aura filled with barbaric bloodlust suddenly stalled.

And in the distance, beyond Wen Yan’s sight, those even more ferocious, domineering auras he had sensed were fleeing rapidly.

The remaining octopus giant beasts were also bolting madly toward the distance, toward the deeper seabed, like they’d been scared into a stress reaction.

Even the Dahlia’s smokestacks had stopped belching black smoke; there was no more woo-woo sound.

The world fell quiet all at once; only the Soul Devouring Beast’s slender tentacle was still slowly dragging several giant beast Souls.

Those massive giant beast Souls began twisting and pulling as they touched the Gold under Wen Yan’s feet, as if being dragged by the eerie blue tentacle into some narrow hole.

Wen Yan patted the Soul Devouring Beast’s tentacle and reminded it.

"Eat slowly, don’t stuff yourself."

The tentacle didn’t respond much, and Wen Yan dropped it; the dumb son was playing dumb again, pretending he couldn’t hear. Forget it, it was rare to get a feeding like this, let him be.

After dragging over four giant beast Souls, when only the last one was left, the eerie blue tentacle gave a twist, and a tentacle over ten meters long on that giant beast Soul was sliced off by the eerie blue tentacle’s coil and then fell in front of Wen Yan; one end of the severed tentacle just happened to land in his hand.
