Chapter 1120 - 400: Soul Summoning, Enhanced Security (10,000) (Part 5)
He first looked at the bloody flesh tentacle on the deck. After a quick glance, he turned back to look at the Ghosts whose consciousness hadn’t yet recovered, then looked again at Valak, who was crouching on the ground with his hands raised.
"Is there anything like an axe?"
"..." Valak lifted his head, glanced cautiously, and immediately said, "Yes, I’ll find something."
"It doesn’t have to be an axe, just anything that can cut through these tentacles."
"That’s easy." Valak stretched out his hands, the nails grew rapidly, and then the nails of his five fingers twisted and intertwined, congealing into the shape of a big axe.
"Shall I cut it open?"
"Yes."
Valak swung his arms, and with a cracking sound, he cut the nearly two-meter thick tentacle into sections.
Then he watched as Wen Yan dragged two sections with one hand into the ship through the cargo hold entrance. He dared not ask, nor say anything.
He was almost scared to death, even though he was a Demon, not a soulless Devil.
Just being illuminated by that ghostly blue light, he felt nearly unable to control the possessed corpse, his consciousness seeming to be drawn out of his body.
If it wasn’t that ghostly blue tentacle had deliberately avoided him, not simply ignored him.
Just a light sweep across his body, and he felt he might not need to worry about being expelled ever again...
He had never been to this part of the Divine Land before, only heard others brag about it, but now he truly believed.
The Eastern Exorcists were too ruthless.
On the other side, Wen Yan had already dragged the two large chunks of tentacle flesh down to the ship’s lower deck.
He tossed one piece in front of a boiler and saw one of the boilers open its wide mouth, like a baby bird waiting to be fed, refusing to eat unless fed directly into its mouth.
Wen Yan sighed, pushing the massive tentacle flesh to the open mouth, watching as the mouth suddenly expanded, devouring the entire chunk.
Then he dragged another chunk of tentacle flesh into the mouth of another boiler.
"Are you satisfied now?
I’ve been good-natured, not only helped you purify.
But also drove off the invaders, now feeding you stuff.
I’ll have to go back soon, lots to do.
Don’t slow me down."
After feeding each of the dozen or so boilers on the Dahlia a large chunk of tentacle flesh, Wen Yan patted the boilers and bid farewell to the Dahlia.
The Dahlia, through indistinct signals, guided Wen Yan back to the bridge, entering from the right door and seeing the outside turn into a starry sky, the sea calm below, and a few sunken ships in the distance.
But going through the left door, it turned into inky black seawater, with a dark, ominous sky filled with a deathly silence.
Wen Yan looked back to see steel cables extending, wrapping around five giant beasts, dragging them along the ship’s sides, and clearly, the Dahlia was reluctant to let them go.
Wen Yan reconfirmed it several times, basically assured that the Dahlia existed in both sides simultaneously.
That other world was far more dangerous than the current one.
Thinking carefully again, he felt that what Valak said at the beginning might be right.
The Dahlia had been purified, weakened, thereby attracting those octopus-like giant beasts.
However, the concentration of those octopus-like giant beasts might have attracted even stronger predators.
So many giant beasts, each stronger than the last, and seemingly quite intelligent, with a formidable recovery ability, could rival Sparrow Cat.
Even the fleet of Divine Land, when encountering so many giant beasts at sea, would find it very troublesome, with the possibility of shipwreck also lingering.
A confirmed multiple times, only the doors on the bridge led to other worlds, other places would have to be tested later.
Wen Yan took out a jade ornament, collecting all the remaining Ghosts on the Dahlia into it, while Valak sensibly, transformed into a puff of black smoke and went inside voluntarily.
Wen Yan carried the corpse he was controlling back to the current world and released them.
Valak possessed the corpse again, stood up, joining the other Ghosts waiting to be expelled.
Even before Wen Yan could say anything, Valak spoke up.
"Just any ship will do to send us off, as for this ship... better leave it, none of us wish to stay on board."
Valak said, turning back to look at the remaining Ghosts.
A group of Ghosts nodded repeatedly.
"Well... all right then."
Wen Yan waved to Long Blade Floating Ghost, letting them separate a sunken ship for Valak and those Ghosts with strong lingering attachments wanting revenge, to leave the Divine Land Central Region.
Since they died so tragically, without any grievances, Wen Yan couldn’t forcibly transcend all the Ghosts against their will.
Long Blade Floating Ghost separated a sunken ship, and sent another ship to guide the way.
Standing on the sunken ship, looking at the receding Dahlia, Valak took a deep breath.
He genuinely did not want to stay on that ship; that living ship should stay here.
Wen Yan’s tastes were peculiar, actively feeding that ship, he just readily proposed it.
Sailing on the sea, for the first time, Valak felt that being expelled was delightful.
The Water Ghost crew next to him handed him a wilting tomato.
"You’re a Zombie, right? Try it."
Valak accepted the tomato and gave it a try. Strangely enough, he could taste the flavor.
