Chapter 1855 - 1003: Attempts to Change the Rules (2)
Lis could sense, as he gained insight into the rules of "Nature," the rule power left behind by Correlon became increasingly active.
Gradually, the rule power of "Nature" no longer remained dormant as before, but began to demonstrate itself, altering the world’s appearance much like the rule power of the "Sun."
This was beneficial for Lis as well; the more active the rule power of "Nature" became, the more rule mysteries he could perceive.
After all, with Lis’s current strength, it’s impossible to surpass Correlon’s understanding of the rules of "Nature" and "Sun," given Correlon’s powerful divine power.
Having discovered the secrets of the "Sun Chasing Realm," Lis opened his eyes and glanced at Daphne nearby.
Unlike Lis, Daphne’s strength was somewhat inadequate within the "Sun Chasing Realm."
However, encouraged by Lis previously, Daphne made up her mind and persevered.
She aimed to master the "Dawn Sacred Emblem," an unavoidable task.
At the very least, Daphne needed to master the domain of the "Sun" rules.
For Daphne, as a Moon Elf, this posed quite a significant challenge.
However, the relatively harsh environment of the "Sun Chasing Realm" was quite helpful for her mastery over the "Sun" rules domain.
Every time Daphne was about to reach her limit, Lis would use magic to shield her from sunlight, restoring her status and stamina.
Except for this, he didn’t directly assist Daphne or offer her any advice.
After all, some experiences are best learned firsthand for maximum benefit.
Daphne was now experiencing this; Lis could sense sporadic fluctuations of the "Sun" rules domain emanating from her.
Before long, she would be able to master the domain of the "Sun" rules.
Lis speculated that when Daphne mastered the "Sun" rules domain, it would mark her ascension to a legend.
Keep going!
Lis glanced at the relentlessly sweating Daphne, eyes tightly shut, before drawing back his gaze to slowly comprehend the power of the "Nature" and "Sun" rules.
With more insights gained, Lis grew increasingly interested in the "Sun Chasing Realm."
He confidently thought that Correlon had expended considerable effort in creating this small world.
So, besides these kinds of rule power and the "Dawn Sacred Emblem," did Correlon leave anything else behind?
...
Time continued to pass,
and the "Sun Chasing Realm" had undergone earth-shattering changes.
Previously, the place was covered in yellow sand, where gusting wind and sand carried an extreme heat. The scorching sun and arid air left no trace of life.
Now, the scenery of the "Sun Chasing Realm" was completely renewed.
Scalding desolation was replaced by an endless verdant plain, extending like green velvet towards the horizon.
Grass blades, lush and tender, adorned with dewdrops; a gentle breeze stirred waves; clusters of unknown wildflowers dotted the place, adding a lively vibe.
A clear brook meandered like a silver ribbon through the grassland, with its transparent waters teeming with a few transparent fish darting among rocks, mingling with insects’ calls in the grass, forming a natural symphony alongside the stream.
The sky was azure and clear, with the previously violent sun now gentle.
Warm sunlight draped over, enveloping the whole world with warmth, infusing it with vitality.
At this moment, Lis sat on the grass, butterflies gently alighting on his hair, peacefully enjoying the world’s beauty.
Although Lis shut his eyes, he could sense the entire situation within the "Sun Chasing Realm."
Having digested most of Correlon’s power, Lis gradually mastered the world during his comprehension of world rules.
After all, the "Chasing Sun Realm" was created by Correlon using the power of "Nature" and "Sun" rules.
Now, with the creator gone, Lis naturally leveraged his mastery over "Nature" and "Sun" rules to influence the "Sun Chasing Realm."
And not far from him, Daphne emitted a subtle golden glow.
This was a reflection of her mastery over the "Sun" rules domain.
At this moment, Daphne was in the process of breaking through to a legend.
While watching over Daphne, Lis also delved into deeper layers of world rules.
Simultaneously, mastering the "Sun Chasing Realm" brought him fresh realizations.
It was his first time completely mastering a small world, offering him insights that were substantially different from before.
In reality, the "Sun Chasing Realm" wasn’t a complete small world.
A small world primarily composed of "Nature" and "Sun" rule power lacked many rules power.
In other words, the "Sun Chasing Realm" couldn’t function like a normal small world with self-cycling.
Its continued existence relied entirely on the balancing power left by Correlon.
Once Correlon’s power depleted, without supplements, the "Sun Chasing Realm" would soon become desolate and shattered, ultimately vanishing.
Yet, this incompleteness allowed Lis to influence and control this small world.
Upon mastering the "Sun Chasing Realm," Lis felt the overwhelming strength of Correlon’s power.
While continuing to comprehend rule power, Lis also attempted to influence this small world through mastering the "Sun Chasing Realm."
The thriving environment in the "Sun Chasing Realm" now was achieved by Lis slowly guiding "Nature" rules while controlling "Sun" rules to change it.
This operation was somewhat akin to the authority held by the Abyss Lord of a vampire avatar.
However, Lis had other ideas besides this.
Such as the method the Arcanist had shown before him, demonstrated by Mr. Stephens.
After mastering world rules, the method of altering world rules.
Lis previously immersed himself in comprehending world rules, seldom trying to change rules methods.
However, the method demonstrated by the "Father of Oak" to fuse rules power had a significant impact on Lis.
Clearly, this too involved altering or even creating entirely new rules power.
The "Father of Oak" could stabilize such fusion-like changes, while Mr. Stephens’s rule modification couldn’t endure.
Once control over the rules power was lifted, it would be repaired by the Gaia World.
Currently, Lis could perform the operation Mr. Stephens once exhibited.
During prior attempts to fuse rules power, Lis also dabbled in these aspects of experimentation and exploration.
But like Mr. Stephens, he also couldn’t stabilize these changes.
Lis realized a truth, that the changes he brought hadn’t been recognized by the Gaia World, thus they couldn’t be maintained.
However, as a Gaia Guardian, Lis was somewhat astonished to sense that the Gaia World doesn’t seem to repel such manipulations...
Or rather, Lis could feel that the Gaia World faintly expected these changes he initiated.
This sentiment was only vaguely perceived by Lis, hard to clearly articulate.
Nonetheless, since then, Lis kept this matter in mind.
Needless to say, for Lis to successfully achieve ascension, he had to face numerous challenges.
This prompted Lis to actively pursue any possibilities.
This might be one of the directions for Lis to advance.
Presently, after mastering the "Sun Chasing Realm," Lis felt it was time to give it a try.
The power of the Gaia World’s world was simply too overwhelming; any rule power Lis tried to alter within the Gaia World was swiftly restored by the world’s repairing power.
What if he were to do so within the "Sun Chasing Realm?"
Whether the altered rule power in this small world could persist and extend, influencing the whole small world?
Once Lis confirmed Daphne mastered the "Sun" rules domain and began her legendary breakthrough, he commenced this attempt.
Still, Lis encountered the same issues at the outset.
The altered rule power of "Sun" and "Nature" was challenging to maintain.
Moreover, Lis could perceive that if he forcibly stabilized the altered rule power by mastering the "Sun Chasing Realm," the entire small world would collapse.
This was quite a complication!
