Chapter 1823 - 988: The Fierce Battle
Outside the Gaia World,
on the world barrier of the Gaia World, streaks of dazzling radiance flared to life, and the True Bodies of the Order Gods manifested one after another.
The God of Dawn Losanda wore a divine robe of gold and white, embroidered with the patterns of the rising sun, and in his hand he held a Longsword that radiated endless light, its blade flowing with the Power of Law of Order.
A warm yet awe‑inspiring halo encircled him, like the brightest source of light in all existence.
Immediately after, the Earth Mother Goddess Shangzhiya approached at an unhurried pace, clad in a divine robe forged from the patterns of Earth, verdant vines and heavy rock forming beneath her feet in the Void.
A savage beastly roar followed in her wake: Beastman Main God Gush was wrapped in Beast Bone Armor, his burly frame brimming with primeval battle intent, the Long Spear in his hand coiled with the Divine Power of the Beastmen’s Slaughter and conquest, his feral gaze locking unerringly onto the Evil Gods.
Dwarf Main God Moradin’s figure was squat and massive like an eternal mountain range, Warhammer in hand, its head engraved with ancient runes of Guardian and resilience, a steady aura lingering around his body.
The many Order Gods descended in succession, standing at a distance opposite Demogorgon and the Abyss Evil Gods.
The two Camps became instantly distinct, the air so thick with the scent of gunpowder that it could no longer be suppressed.
Demogorgon’s twin heads slowly turned, scarlet and dark‑violet pupils sweeping across the ranks of the Order Gods, the corners of his mouth hooking into a strange and deranged smile.
The left head let out a mad roar, while the right head spoke in a cold and hoarse voice:
"Losanda... you think that with just you so‑called Order Gods, you can stop me?"
"I will shatter this so‑called Order, drag the Gaia World into the Abyss, and make it my Demogorgon’s domain!"
His voice boomed like thunder, echoing through the empty starry Void, laden with an unquestionable tyranny and madness.
The Strength within Demogorgon’s body erupted completely, pitch‑black energy surging out like a tidal wave, crushing down toward the ranks of the Order Gods.
Within that energy was woven the filth of the Abyss and a twisted Power of Order; wherever it passed, the empty starry sky warped and tore, even light itself being Devoured.
Losanda’s eyes narrowed; he lifted the Longsword high, endless radiance bursting forth from it, forming a colossal wall of light that blocked Demogorgon’s energy onslaught.
He shouted in a great voice:
"Order is inviolable, and the Gaia World is even less a place you can lay your hands on!"
As Losanda’s words fell, the Order Gods all made their move.
Seeing this, Demogorgon let out a crazed screech, both heads spewing forth pitch‑black flames and scarlet venom at the same time.
Wherever the flames passed, even the Laws of Order were scorched into distortion. As the venom dripped, the empty starry sky was corroded into one yawning void after another.
His twin tails lashed out fiercely, like two pitch‑black whips, striking toward Losanda and Shangtiya.
Their speed reached the very limit, carrying Strength that tore through Space.
The Abyss Evil Gods also struck one after another, countless streams of pitch‑black energy, eerie curses, and frenzied assaults pouring toward the ranks of the Order Gods.
Some Evil Gods wielded Shadow, launching silent ambushes at the Gods; others stirred the Abyssal Origin, transforming into colossal monstrosities, hurling themselves in a savage offensive against All Gods...
In an instant, the starry sky outside the Gaia World plunged completely into Chaos and slaughter.
Golden‑white radiance and pitch‑black energy collided, unleashing earth‑shattering explosions; shockwaves swept across the entire starry firmament, countless Space Rifts tearing open in the blasts and then snapping shut again.
The roars of the Gods and the howls of the Evil Gods interwove, shattering the deathly stillness of the starry sky, becoming the only melody within this Void.
Losanda confronted Demogorgon head‑on, Longsword clashing with twin tails, light entwining with pitch black; with every collision the starry sky shuddered violently.
A faint numbness crept through Losanda’s Divine Body; he could clearly sense the terrifying Strength of Demogorgon.
Even with all his might unleashed, he could only just barely hold him at bay.
Some Evil Gods, under the combined strikes of All Gods, had their bodies shatter, their wills dissipate, and fell completely;
some Sub-gods were grievously wounded under the Siege of the Abyss Evil Gods, their auras withering, forced to temporarily withdraw.
Demogorgon fought more fiercely the longer he battled, the Strength within him seemingly inexhaustible.
Though Losanda’s Longsword had scored several wounds across his Scale Armor, it did nothing to diminish his combat prowess; instead, it ignited the madness in his very bones, his assaults becoming even more violent and bizarre.
Losanda’s expression grew increasingly grave; he knew that if this stalemate continued, All Gods would inevitably pay a devastating price.
Demogorgon’s power far exceeded their expectations; they had to devise a way to suppress him through united effort.
Even as he parried Demogorgon’s attacks, he was secretly transmitting his will to the other Gods, conferring on a countermeasure.
Demogorgon, as if sensing their intent, curled his lips in a sneering Taunt, his attacks turning ever more ferocious, seeking to utterly crush Losanda and shatter the united front of the Gods.
The slaughter within the empty starry Void raged on, the clash of light and Darkness, the confrontation of Order and Chaos showing no sign of abating.
...
The battle beyond the World, its tidings were likewise learned by the many Extraordinary forces within the Gaia World.
Lis naturally obtained the relevant information from the Church of the Gods.
For their respective factions, the Church of the Gods of course proclaimed a resounding victory, but toward Lis there was no need for concealment.
According to the information Lis had obtained, the Order Gods led by the God of Dawn had not gained the upper hand in the first Divine War.
