When she heard his genuine apology, something soft filled her chest. Roxanna turned her head slightly, still catching her breath.

Luan carefully pulled out of her and sat back against the pile of pelts. A moment later, he gently lifted her and settled her on his lap so she faced him.

His arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close. Their chests pressed together. For the first time in a long while, the rough hunger in his eyes softened.

He rested his forehead against hers. "I didn’t mean to be so rough," he murmured. "You feel too good... I lost control."

Roxanna’s hands slid up his shoulders and around his neck. She leaned in and kissed him slowly. This kiss was different this time. It felt more gentle, warm, and full of care.

Luan kissed her back the same way, one hand stroking her bare back while the other held her safely against him.

They stayed like that for a while, just hugging and kissing, breathing each other in.

However, one moment Luan was clear-headed, and the next moment his mind was filled again with the desire to devour his mate right then and there.

His arms tightened around her. The gentle kisses turned deeper and wilder. He nipped at her bottom lip, then trailed rough kisses down her jaw to her neck, where the earlier bite marks still showed.

"Roxanna..." he whispered against her skin, voice low and rough again. "Help me again..."

He lifted her slightly and guided himself back to her entrance. In one smooth motion he lowered her onto his manhood, filling her completely while she sat on his lap. A soft moan left her lips as he buried himself deep.

Luan held her close, chest to chest, and started moving her up and down on him with strong hands. The pace grew faster, harder.

Even in this position he couldn’t stay gentle for long. He kissed her deeply, swallowing her soft cries while he thrust up into her over and over.

Soon his movements turned desperate. He held her hips tight and buried himself deep as he came hard, filling her with his seed once more. But he barely rested. Within minutes he was hard again, lifting her and lowering her onto him without stopping.

They stayed locked together like that for hours; kissing, biting, holding each other while he filled her again and again.

When one position tired them, he simply changed it: laying her on her back, taking her from behind, or pulling her on top once more. Each time he came, he only needed a short rest before his need returned stronger than before.

Day turned into night, then into the next day. The bed and the pile of animal pelts became their whole world.

Roxanna lost count of how many times he took her, how many times she came around him, how many times he spilled inside her. Her body ached in the sweetest way, covered in bite marks and the scent of him.

By the third day the wild hunger in Luan’s eyes finally began to fade. His thrusts grew slower, gentler. When he filled her one last time, he stayed buried deep and simply held her close, breathing hard against her neck.

The heat was finally over.

The moment he pulled out of her, they both collapsed onto the bed at the same time, each of them breathing hard.

Luan felt like everything from his waist down had gone completely numb after moving his hips for so long. Meanwhile Roxanna couldn’t even lift her hand because she was just too tired.

Their scent filled the air inside the room, making them a little drunk on it.

"Luan... are you better now?" Roxanna asked at last. She lay flat on her back, staring up at the ceiling with a blank look in her eyes.

Luan was doing the same thing beside her. After taking a deep breath, he answered, "Much better." His voice was soft and a little hoarse.

He turned his head to look at her and observed how the soft afternoon light came through the small window and fell across her tired face, the bite marks on her neck and shoulders, and the messy strands of hair stuck to her skin.

He reached out and gently brushed a few strands away from her cheek.

"I’m sorry I was so rough," he said. "I didn’t mean to push you that hard."

Roxanna let out a small, tired laugh. She turned her head toward him and gave a weak smile. "It’s alright. I chose to stay with you."

Luan’s eyes softened. He shifted closer and carefully pulled her into his arms. She rested her head on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

For a long moment neither of them spoke, but then Roxanna’s stomach suddenly growled so loud that she felt embarrassed.

[Damn it!] Roxanna cursed. [It feels like I haven’t eaten anything for days! No wonder I’m so hungry!]

She was about to say something, but Luan’s stomach also growled just as loudly.

He let out a small, tired laugh. "Looks like we’re both hungry."

He carefully moved her aside and tried to stand up, but his legs immediately gave out. He fell hard onto the floor with a low grunt.

"Luan!" Roxanna sat up quickly. "Are you alright?"

"I’m fine," he answered, even though his voice sounded strained. "Just... give me a second."

He started dragging himself toward the door on his hands and knees. When he finally reached it and pushed it open, he widened his eyes in surprised because Cyrus was already standing right outside, holding a large basket full of roasted meat.

Luan frowned in disbelief. "How long have you been standing there?!"

Cyrus raised an eyebrow, looking completely unbothered. "Long enough."

Luan’s frown deepened. His voice came out rough and tired. "I know you’ve heard me fall. Why didn’t you come in?"

Cyrus simply shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "I like watching you crawl."
