I Favor the Villainess

Outside Part 6. Holy Night Festival

Today is the twelfth month, the twenty-fourth day.

When it comes to Japan in the twenty-first century, it's the day to hit Christmas Eve.

Nevertheless, this is the world of games.

There is no such thing as Christmas.

- And I have thoughts.

There's an event called Holy Night Festival.

"One theory says it was this day that the Spirit God descended. It's an important festival for spirituality."

"Ugh."

It's something I knew without having to get Claire's explanation, but I love Claire very much because she's cute enough to speak well.

As you may already guess, the model of the Holy Night Festival is, of course, Christmas.

This place also oddly reflects Japanese culture - although, of course, it originated in Europe.

"What do you do?

"Right. He said he was a nobleman and he had a big party and invited guests, but hey, if you're a citizen, you don't want to celebrate so flashy."

When I was a nobleman, I would have celebrated it magnificently, and it seems that Master Claire continues in a way that draws on the knowledge in his head.

"If you're a citizen, try decorating the room a little bit, putting down the Momo tree, and then exchanging gifts between family, friends, and lovers, right?

"Heh, nice"

This place is still Japanese-style.

Because Christmas in European and American countries doesn't make much noise or excitement, and it's common practice to spend some time quietly with your family.

A Christmas-like exuberance for Japan is the celebration of the New Year hits it when it's a European and American country.

"We're civil ceremonies too, right?

"It's obvious. How much do you think it costs to have a party that invites customers?"

"Right"

If you are going to do it, you have to hold down the place, procure food, and also think about entertaining the invitees.

Though I generally took it off from my poverty, it's not something I can do with the salaries of two teachers.

Or as much as I spend money on that, I want to spend money on Dear Claire, May, and Allea.

"But you want to have a family party. I'd like to relax and celebrate inside."

"Agreed, Master Claire"

Even if you don't invite guests, Holy Nights with your family will surely be lovely.

Closing the year with your loved ones.

That is a very happy thing.

"Let's have a little extravaganza in cooking too. Can I take care of it, Ray?

"Of course it is. I'll put more on your arm."

I slapped my chest at Lady Claire's favor.

Party food?

Your arms are ringing.

"Later, prepare a gift as well. to each other, to the children."

"Nice. So you're buying it out this weekend."

Leave a message for May and Alea and we'll have a shopping date.

Never from impure motives.

To keep secrets about what is a gift for May and Allea.

"I'm looking forward to it..."

"Looking forward to it"

There may have been a slight nuance between Claire and me.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"Yes, it's done."

"Wow!

"It's a treat."

On the day of the Holy Night Festival, Dear Claire, May and Alea were surrounding their home tables.

I put a large plate of freshly baked chicken in the middle of the table with a mittened hand.

There are already other dishes lined up at the table.

Today's contribution is -.

Grilled Chicken with Vanilla

Roast beef

Edamame and gobo potage

Root Vegetable Goro Salad

Decorative cake

are five products.

Vanilla grill is a direct line from my mother in this world, but it is a luxurious version made with more salt pepper and vanilla.

It has been a long time since roast beef has also been cooked with beef.

The potage is a warm soup boiled with edamame and gobo, then crushed, mixed with milk and seasoned with salt pepper.

The salad is a simple but delicious dish dressed with rencon, carrots, potatoes, onions and other warm vegetables.

The eye-catching decorative cake has been decorated by Mae and Allea, making it look interesting to see something a little less dressed.

"Well, shall I take it?"

"I'll take it."

"I'll take it!

"I'll take it."

The party started.

The walls of the room are decorated with a number of coloured paper ornaments that Mae and Allea worked hard to make.

I didn't get the Momo tree, but in a different way, the miniature Momo tree, which I made by folding colored paper, sits a bit on the table.

Money is not so much spent, but labor free is a handmade Holy Night festival with plenty of time.

"Yum yum!

"Potato, come on."

The food is generally popular.

All but the soup was served on a large plate, and each dish was divided into small plates for a style of eating, but it kept decreasing.

"It's really delicious. I love this salad."

"Thank you. Enjoy a lot."

"Yes."

Master Claire also seems to have a fork going on. Above all.

I also carried the roast beef to a slice.

Handmade onion sauce, but reasonably well made.

May and Allea were apparently running out of lunch for tonight, and they ate a lot with an appetite.

The dishes made thanks to you are not sold out.

The cake was also cut one or two pieces a little less raw today, eating out one hole.

I laughed contentedly as I took the cleaned plate to the sink.

"Ray, let's wash up later and exchange presents first. They said they couldn't wait."

"Ah, yes. Well, I'll get you a present."

I, once back in my bedroom, turned back to the living room with a gift wrap.

"Come on, May, Alea, Happy Holy Night Festival"

"Thanks!"

"Thank you!

Lady Claire and I chose the gift for May and Allea.

The contents of the package...

"Hiccup!

"It's a lovely treat."

It is a bit of a good shoe handled by Fratel.

Waterbison leather is carefully smoothed and therefore resistant to water and all sorts of products.

It's cute because it's tailored for children.

"Karu!

"Thank you very much."

Leather products are often heavy, but water bison leather is relatively light.

It is a perfect weight addition and subtraction for moving children's feet.

"Thank you, Claire, Ray, Ray!

"Thank you."

They hugged me.

Master Claire and I will happily hug it.

"Give Ray this."

That's why Master Claire handed me the wrapped package.

I also still don't know what this contents are because gifts for each other are not to be told.

"Well, here's to Lady Claire"

I give the package to Lady Claire, too.

We both opened each other's presents at the same time.

"Is this... a comb?

"Yes, I would say 'crumbs' to be exact"

"You have a very refined watermark carving."

I gave it to Claire to fix her hair.

The woodworking guild's guild master carved out a tree named Tsukasu, a somewhat expensive dish.

Some of you probably know what a crotch means.

"What I got..., you're a muffler. This, like, a little?

"Yeah, sorry about the awkwardness, but it's hand-knitted for once."

Says Lady Claire as she dyes her cheeks.

"There's nothing awkward about it. The pattern is beautiful, and it doesn't look any worse than the sewing guild's products."

I mean, it's not an argyle pattern or amateur job.

"Can I roll it up?

"Yes."

"Now if you'll excuse me... wow, it's warm"

"I knitted it with snowhole rabbit yarn."

Snowhole rabbits do not hibernate in winter, they are furry rabbits with fuzzy fuzz.

With that yarn, the insulation would be excellent.

"Thank you, Master Claire. I'll take care of it."

"Thank you too, Ray. I'll take care of it."

The two of them exchanged mouths from either side.

I'm really happy.

"Hey, I'm getting rough with you."

Really.

When I looked out the window at Mae and Allea's words, something white was creeping down from the sky.

"It's pure white Holy Night."

"Is it like white christmas"

"Horrible...?

"No, this is the story."

The four of us watched the snow often.

There were no words, but that's fine.

Everyone felt a family connection.

"We had a lot going on this year, but thanks again next year, Ray"

"Hello, sir."

We exchanged our mouths again and laughed at each other.

It burned up a lot that night, but that's another story.
