Since the taping for "The Dazzling Star" was taking place outside Aethelgard, Claire Sinclair had to fly to Scylla City for a three-month shoot. She would be living in Scylla City for those three months.

This was the first time since getting married that Claire Sinclair would be away from home for so long, and her heart ached at the thought. She hadn’t even left yet, but she was already missing the man at Quincy Manor, the one who worked himself to the bone.

Claire Sinclair stared at her phone for a good long while, completely at a loss for how to bring it up. Finally, she just sent him a text: Mr. Quincy, are you coming home tonight?

Adrian Quincy: I have something on tonight.

Your Claire: Then let me come to Quincy Manor and keep you company tonight.

Adrian Quincy: What’s the matter?

Your Claire: It’s nothing. I just want to give you a proper goodbye.

Adrian Quincy: Okay.

Claire Sinclair put down her phone, the ache in her heart intensifying.

When quitting time finally came, Claire Sinclair quickly tidied her desk. Her flight was at nine the next morning, meaning she didn’t have to come into the newspaper office and could go straight to the airport.

Before she left, Claire Sinclair popped into Henry Hartwell’s office. "Teacher Hartwell, I’m leaving tomorrow. Do you have any parting words of wisdom for me?"

Henry Hartwell thought for a moment, then smiled. "The biggest taboo in show business is telling the truth. When necessary, you can be a bit more diplomatic to avoid offending some people. But when it’s even more critical, you must speak the truth. Otherwise, there’d be no point in sending you to be a judge in the first place."

Claire Sinclair pouted. "I understand all that. I’m just worried I won’t get along with everyone else."

"There’s nothing more persuasive than sincerity. ’Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.’ Just be yourself, and you won’t have to worry about getting along with people."

’...’ ’Of course he’d feed me some chicken soup for the soul.’

Claire Sinclair let out a soft sigh. "Teacher Hartwell, I’m going to head out now. Make sure you keep your phone on. I’ll be calling you at all hours, you know."

"Alright," Henry Hartwell nodded.

Only then did Claire Sinclair head home, her mind at ease.

Before heading to Quincy Manor, Claire Sinclair first went back to Evergreen Garden. She packed up her things, including her medicine, had the driver help her load everything into the car, and then drove straight to Quincy Manor.

By the time she arrived at Quincy Manor, it was already past nine p.m.

Claire Sinclair walked into his office without a moment’s hesitation. She saw him at his desk, pen in hand, writing something with intense focus. He didn’t even look up when she entered.

"Mr. Quincy..." Claire Sinclair began tentatively.

Adrian Quincy gave a slight nod, humming an "mhm" in response, but still didn’t look up at her.

Claire Sinclair bit her lip, walked over, and sat right down on his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his chest.

"My flight is early tomorrow morning. I’ll be gone for three months."

"Claire..." Adrian Quincy murmured, inhaling his wife’s sweet fragrance. He instantly felt a rush of heat spread through him.

Claire Sinclair looked up, her expression glum, and met his dark eyes. "What am I supposed to do if I miss you?"

"I’ll come visit you."

"But you’re so busy."

"Scylla City is one of the cities where I need to build momentum anyway. I can come over once I’ve arranged my schedule."

His few words completely swept away the gloom in Claire Sinclair’s heart. "You said it. You can’t go back on your word."

"I won’t. Take good care of yourself over there, and call me if you need anything."

"So, how should we spend tonight?" Claire Sinclair whispered, deliberately blowing a hot breath against his ear. Her intention was crystal clear.

How could Adrian Quincy possibly withstand such teasing from his wife? He abruptly shifted her upright and whispered hoarsely in her ear, "You can have it. I’ll give you as much as you want."
