Chapter 466: A 28-Year-Old Man is Too Terrifying

When they got back to the hotel that day, Claire Sinclair hadn’t even had time to take off her high heels before the impatient Great Demon King Quincy pinned her against the door. He crushed his lips against hers in a fervent kiss, catching her completely off guard.

What followed was another bout of passion that didn’t end until eleven at night, leaving Claire Sinclair completely exhausted.

Adrian Quincy, however, seemed perfectly fine, calmly apologizing, "Claire, I’m sorry. Did I hurt you just now?"

"You have the nerve to apologize now?" Claire Sinclair complained with a pout. "I told you to stop, but you kept going. It really hurts!"

Every time they were reunited after even a short separation, he was like an uncontrollable beast. She simply couldn’t handle his wild intensity.

’Anyway, twenty-eight-year-old men are terrifying, especially one with his kind of status.’

Filled with guilt, Adrian Quincy said, "Let me see."

"N-No!" Claire Sinclair stammered, horrified. ’I’d die of embarrassment if he saw!’

"Claire, let me see."

"I already said no— Ahh..."

Her protest was futile.

Adrian Quincy’s brows knitted together. "It’s bruised," he said in a low voice. "I’ll find some ointment for you."

Claire Sinclair: "..."

’It’s bruised again. What else could she say?’

After he applied the ointment, Claire Sinclair fell asleep again, having completely forgotten about dinner.

Adrian Quincy stood on the balcony, his hands resting on the railing. He wore only a pair of briefs and a robe, which hung open and untied, revealing his lean, muscular physique.

Staring into the pitch-black night sky, he felt a surge of frustration. The pressure of the election campaign was real, but he never let it show—not even his beloved woman could tell.

His uncontrollable passion earlier was, in truth, a selfish act. He had vented all his stress on her.

Now, he was reflecting on what he’d done.

The night grew deeper.

Adrian Quincy returned to the room. Gazing at her sleeping face, he gently placed a kiss on her cheek before lying down beside her.

Unfortunately, he still suffered from insomnia, but he at least spent the night resting with his eyes closed.

The next morning, when Claire Sinclair woke up, she saw Adrian standing in front of the wardrobe, putting on a suit.

Claire Sinclair’s heart clenched, and she blurted out, "Are you leaving already?"

Adrian Quincy stiffened slightly and turned to look at her. "There’s still time. Go back to sleep."

As he spoke, Claire Sinclair had already thrown off the covers and gotten out of bed. Barefoot, she walked over to him and threw her arms around him in a tight embrace.

Adrian was startled for a moment, then wrapped his arms around her delicate frame. "Claire, I’m not leaving just yet. Relax."

"Really?" A smile spread across Claire Sinclair’s lips. There was nothing she loved more than hearing him say that.

Adrian Quincy nodded gently. "I’ll take you to the set in a bit. This time, I’m just visiting. I’ll spend the day with you."

"Really???" Claire Sinclair almost laughed out loud. ’I really hope he’s not just messing with me!!!’

Adrian Quincy gently stroked her hair, his voice tender. "Things have been a bit stressful lately, so I’ve decided to take a few days off and spend some quality time with you."

"Huh?" Claire Sinclair froze.

’This is the first time he’s ever told me he’s stressed. I never would have guessed!’

A sudden heaviness settled in her heart. Claire Sinclair hugged his waist tighter and said in a muffled voice, "Then I’m going to give you a really good hug. And since you’re taking a few days off, don’t think about anything. Just focus on relaxing."

"Okay," Adrian Quincy nodded obediently.

Claire Sinclair abruptly pushed him away. "Okay, I’m going to wash my face and brush my teeth. We’ll head over after breakfast."

With that, she turned and disappeared into the bathroom.
