Chapter 414: Kouhei’s new life, Part 1
Right now, Okumura Kouhei could only stare in complete amazement at the unbelievable sight waiting for him the moment he opened his eyes. Lying comfortably around him on the bed were three beautiful women, and every single one of them was completely naked without the slightest hint of embarrassment. Naturally, he wasn’t wearing any clothes either, so there really wasn’t much left to imagine about what had taken place before all four of them eventually drifted off to sleep.
Anyone who walked into the room at this exact moment would probably arrive at the exact same conclusion without needing even a second to think about it.
He had spent the previous night having a foursome with all three of them.
As ridiculous as that sounded, scenes like this had slowly become a part of Kouhei’s everyday life. Even now, waking up to something like this still managed to surprise him more often than he cared to admit, but after everything that had happened over the past several weeks, he couldn’t really pretend it was unusual anymore. Life had changed so much in such a short amount of time that he was honestly starting to wonder if his old self would have fainted on the spot after seeing something like this.
"Mmm...~"
A soft and sleepy moan escaped from Saionji Hina’s lips as she continued sleeping peacefully beside him without showing any signs of waking up anytime soon.
Hina was a Primordial Succubus, someone who had spent an incredibly long time yearning for genuine love that she could never truly experience because of her own powers. Kouhei had been the only person she could originally touch without causing harm, and through their growing relationship, she had eventually learned how to control those overwhelming abilities. She could now freely touch other people if she wanted to, but that didn’t mean she suddenly had any interest in doing so.
Her heart already belonged to Kouhei. Her mind belonged to him as well. Even her soul had chosen him without leaving behind even the slightest trace of hesitation.
"Kouhei-kun... not there...~"
Another quiet voice gently broke the silence of the room as someone else mumbled happily in her sleep, sounding completely absorbed in whatever dream she happened to be having.
Sleeping on Kouhei’s opposite side was Sarushima Yuuna, the former leader of the Yuuna Faction, which had since become the Kouhei Faction after she willingly handed over leadership to him. She was a noble vampire born into one of the legendary Great Houses, carrying a bloodline so ancient that many believed it was nearly as old as the Primordials themselves. There was a refined elegance surrounding her at almost all times, making her look every bit like genuine royalty without even needing to make an effort.
"Nnn... You like it there, Kou-kun? I know you like it here...~" another sleepy voice quietly murmured while still completely lost inside her dream.
The girl mumbling those words was Kiyohara Nagisa.
At first glance, she looked like an ordinary high school girl who could easily disappear into a crowd without attracting much attention from anyone around her. The truth, however, couldn’t have been more different. Beneath that completely normal appearance was physical strength that rivaled an ogre, making her far stronger than most people would ever expect. If she accidentally hugged Kouhei with her full strength while forgetting to hold back, she could probably flatten him like a tomato before she even realized she had gone too far.
Judging from the little things they were mumbling in their sleep, it wasn’t particularly difficult to guess what the three of them were dreaming about. Their dreams had most likely wandered back to everything that had happened between them the previous night. Having sex with all three women at the same time had been an experience that still felt surreal whenever Kouhei replayed the memories inside his head. A part of him still found it hard to believe that this had become his reality, yet another part had slowly started accepting it without putting up much resistance anymore.
This was simply his new life.
It was a strange life. It was a complicated life, even.
Despite all of that, it was still his life as a demon, and little by little, he found himself becoming more accustomed to it with every passing day.
***
"Okumura-kun really has become a completely different person, hasn’t he?" one of the female students said while watching Kouhei from across the hallway with an almost dreamy expression, looking as though she had already fallen hopelessly in love with him without even realizing it herself. "Seriously, if someone had told me a few months ago that he’d end up looking and acting like this, I would’ve laughed right in their face. Back then, I couldn’t have imagined it even if I tried. Just look at him now. He’s become a complete hunk. If I had known he was going to turn out like this, I honestly would’ve asked him out the moment I got the chance. Missing that opportunity really hurts my pride a little."
"Well, nobody could’ve predicted something like this," another student replied with a light chuckle while glancing in Kouhei’s direction as well. "Back then, it would’ve sounded completely ridiculous. Yet somehow, here we are, and people are already saying he’s dating Saionji."
"Saionji? Hold on, since when did everyone start thinking he and the Student Council President were dating? Did I somehow miss an entire Chapter of school gossip?"
"You’re seriously behind on the rumors. Trust me, people have been talking about it for a while now. Although personally, I think he’s definitely dating Nagisa-senpai."
"What about Yuki-senpai? Honestly, I think those two have something going on as well. They’ve been seen together so often lately that it’s getting harder to believe it’s all just a coincidence."
"I don’t know anymore. Every single week there’s a completely different rumor going around. At this rate, people are going to say he’s secretly dating half the academy before the semester even ends."
Rumors throughout the academy had been spreading faster than anyone could keep track of regarding who Kouhei was actually dating. Although nobody had ever publicly confirmed anything, it wasn’t difficult to understand why so many students had reached those conclusions. Kouhei was constantly seen spending time with several different girls, and from the perspective of someone watching from afar, it was incredibly easy to misunderstand what kind of relationships they actually had.
Something like this would’ve been completely unimaginable for the old Kouhei. Back then, almost nobody would’ve believed that multiple girls would willingly gather around him like this. Times had changed, however, and Kouhei himself had changed just as much. He looked different, carried himself differently, and had become someone people naturally gravitated toward. Because of that, many students had simply assumed he was dating at least one of the girls who always seemed to be around him.
"I think the easiest solution is just asking him or the people involved directly who he’s dating, don’t you think? Sitting here making guesses isn’t getting us anywhere. Like at all."
The suggestion immediately caught everyone’s attention.
Quite a few of the female students were already growing incredibly curious.
They all wanted the answer to the exact same question.
Who exactly was Kouhei dating among all the girls who were constantly seen with him almost every single day?
After discussing it for a little while, they naturally decided to ask Hina first.
After all, she was Kouhei’s classmate. And someone who have been seen together with Kouhei more often than not.
She spent plenty of time with him. She was probably the easiest person to approach.
"Kouhei?" Hina repeated after hearing the question, tilting her head ever so slightly while looking genuinely curious about why everyone suddenly wanted to ask her that.
"Yes!" one of the girls replied excitedly while leaning forward with sparkling eyes. "Do you have that kind of relationship with him? Although, if it’s supposed to stay a secret, then please don’t feel pressured to tell us. We’d rather stay curious than accidentally ruin something important."
Normally, Hina wasn’t particularly interested in conversations centered around gossip or romance. She usually preferred staying quiet instead of joining discussions like these. Even so, she found herself wanting to play along this time because the entire situation was surprisingly entertaining. More than anything else, she had also discovered that teasing Kouhei every once in a while was a lot more fun than she had originally expected. Seeing him panic was strangely adorable, even if she would never admit that out loud.
"Kouhei...?" Hina softly repeated once again, taking a brief moment as though she were genuinely thinking about how she wanted to answer the question. "Well... he’s someone who’s incredibly important to me. Honestly speaking, my feelings for him go beyond something as simple as love."
Her expression remained completely calm, just as emotionless as it always was, and her voice never changed even slightly while saying those words. That only made the entire statement sound even more convincing. Everyone listening could clearly tell she meant every single word she was saying, making it almost impossible to determine whether she was joking or speaking with complete honesty.
"He isn’t just someone who has my heart," Hina continued in the exact same calm tone. "My entire body belongs to him as well."
The instant those words reached everyone’s ears, several students almost spat out the drinks they had been holding. Those who weren’t drinking anything simply stood frozen in place, their eyes opening so wide that they instinctively turned toward Kouhei, who happened to be standing several meters away without the slightest clue that his peaceful morning had just ended.
Their reactions honestly couldn’t have been more understandable.
If Hina was boldly saying something like that without showing even the slightest embarrassment, then everyone naturally assumed their relationship had already progressed far beyond ordinary dating.
"OKUMURA!!!"
A loud chorus of voices echoed throughout the hallway almost immediately afterward.
Almost every single one of those voices belonged to the boys.
Several of them looked absolutely betrayed.
A few dramatically clutched their chests as though they had just witnessed the greatest tragedy of their lives.
One of them even pointed accusingly at Kouhei with enough determination to make it look like he had just caught the final boss of loneliness itself.
"H-Hina-san is just joking!" Kouhei hurriedly shouted while frantically waving both of his hands in front of him as everyone’s attention shifted toward him all at once. "Please don’t take what she said seriously! She’s only teasing me, that’s all!"
"I’m not joking," Hina replied without changing her expression even slightly. "Last night, he was holding me tightly like this."
Although her face remained completely expressionless from beginning to end, the way she demonstrated it somehow made the entire scene unexpectedly funny. She quietly wrapped both of her arms around herself to imitate how Kouhei had held her, all while maintaining the same perfectly calm expression that somehow made everything she said sound even more believable.
"Hina-san..."
Kouhei could only let out an awkward laugh while feeling his face grow warmer from embarrassment. Trying to defend himself any further honestly felt pointless because Hina looked so sincere that nobody would’ve believed him anyway. At this point, he was beginning to suspect she actually enjoyed putting him in situations like this just to see how flustered he became. Knowing Hina, that possibility wasn’t even impossible anymore.
Even so, despite all the attention, the teasing, and the endless misunderstandings, Kouhei found himself smiling before he even realized it.
Watching everyone laugh together, argue over ridiculous rumors, and joke around so naturally somehow made everything feel strangely familiar again.
Life had become unbelievably chaotic. Life had also become surprisingly enjoyable. Everything was so good now, and more than that, it really does feels like nothing’s going to go wrong.
For the first time in what felt like a very long while, everything around him genuinely felt "normal" again.
