I Took A Succubus's First Time

Chapter 415: Kouhei’s new life, Part 2

After what felt like an endless round of relentless questions about who Kouhei was actually dating, he and the others finally managed to leave the school and make their way home together. His classmates had been surprisingly persistent, throwing one question after another without giving him much room to breathe. By the time they escaped, Kouhei honestly felt like he had survived an interrogation instead of a normal school day. He felt like a used dishrag, to be honest. At least nobody had pulled out a lie detector. That probably would’ve made things even more awkward.

The mansion was built a fair distance away from the school, so the walk home wasn’t exactly a short one. Even so, having everyone beside him made the trip feel much shorter than it really was. Their conversations drifted from one topic to another without anyone forcing them, and the comfortable atmosphere made the walk genuinely enjoyable. Kouhei found himself appreciating moments like these more often lately. They weren’t doing anything particularly special, yet somehow, this simple walk home felt surprisingly relaxing.

"I heard something pretty interesting happened in your classroom today, Kou-kun," Nagisa said with a playful smile as she casually pressed her generous chest against Kouhei’s arm as though it was the most natural thing in the world. Her breasts were really soft, to the point that they squished right in.

Kouhei barely reacted anymore, of course. Honestly, he had already become used to it. He wasn’t entirely sure whether that was a good thing or not.

"Well, everyone wanted to know who I was dating," Kouhei replied with a small, helpless laugh. "Hina and I have already been leaving enough hints that we’re together, but because I’m always spending time with all of you as well, everyone still seems convinced that something else is going on. Apparently, getting close to several girls is enough to turn half the classroom into detectives."

Nagisa and the others had already discussed this issue quite a while ago, eventually agreeing that Hina and Kouhei would publicly present themselves as a couple or at least act like one, even without publicly announcing it, whenever they were around other people. That arrangement only existed for appearances, however. Behind closed doors, the truth was entirely different. Kouhei shared a relationship with most of the women walking beside him, and all of them had willingly accepted that arrangement without hesitation.

Living in a society where monogamous relationships were considered the standard made keeping that secret incredibly important. If people ever discovered that Kouhei was involved with multiple women at the same time, the amount of unnecessary attention and criticism they would receive would become exhausting to deal with. Avoiding that headache altogether was honestly the smarter choice.

"Well, as far as I know, gossip is basically like a plague," Nagisa said with a casual shrug before lightly smiling. "People keep spreading it whether it’s true or not. As long as you don’t openly confirm anything, they’ll just keep making theories among themselves until they eventually get bored and move on to someone else."

She really wasn’t wrong about that. Rumors had a funny way of growing larger every time someone repeated them.

As long as Kouhei and the others stayed quiet, nobody would ever know which stories were true and which ones were completely fabricated. Everyone would simply continue arguing over their own assumptions while convincing themselves they had figured everything out. Human imagination could honestly be terrifying whenever romance became the topic of conversation.

"More importantly, Kou-kun, don’t you think we should do something about her?" Nagisa asked before glancing over her shoulder toward the person quietly following behind them.

Kouhei instinctively looked back as well.

Walking several meters behind the group was a beautiful young woman wearing glasses with her long hair tied into neat twin braids. She was hiding herself behind a pole, if you can even describe that as hiding. Half of her body was still visible.

It was Ichinose Hiyori.

For reasons that none of them could fully understand, Hiyori had somehow developed the habit of quietly following Kouhei whenever she had the chance. At first, everyone assumed it was just a coincidence. After it happened again... and again... and then several more times after that, it became increasingly difficult to believe it wasn’t intentional.

By this point, none of the girls were particularly surprised that Hiyori seemed to have feelings for Kouhei. The signs had become fairly obvious over time. Watching her silently trail after them almost every day honestly felt like something straight out of a romantic comedy, except nobody seemed interested in laughing because the situation had become strangely normal.

For now, everyone had simply chosen to leave her alone.

Nobody confronted her. Nobody chased her away. Nobody pretended they hadn’t noticed either.

They simply allowed her to continue following them while quietly observing what she would eventually do.

Unfortunately, that behavior had become much more frequent recently.

She appeared almost every day.

She quietly followed behind them almost every afternoon.

She always kept enough distance that it didn’t become immediately uncomfortable, yet she never wandered far enough to disappear completely from sight.

It honestly felt like Kouhei needed to address the situation sooner rather than later. At the same time, he couldn’t think of a good way to approach the conversation without making things unnecessarily awkward for both of them.

"Do you want to add her to your harem, Kouhei?" Hina suddenly asked in her usual calm, composed voice while looking straight ahead as if she had merely asked what they were having for dinner.

Her expression never changed. She didn’t look jealous. She didn’t sound upset. She wasn’t testing him either.

To Hina, it was simply a reasonable question worth asking.

She genuinely didn’t seem bothered by the possibility of Kouhei welcoming another woman into their relationship. At this point, the women already involved with him were Hina, Yuuna, Nagisa, Misuzu, Aria, Yumi, and Kyouka. That already made seven women.

Adding an eighth honestly didn’t seem like it would surprise anyone anymore. The only person still hesitating was Kouhei himself. Deep down, he still struggled with the idea.

He honestly didn’t feel as though he deserved to keep accepting the feelings of more and more women. Because of that, he had never actively tried to increase the size of his harem or deliberately search for someone new.

Jumping from one woman to another without giving the matter serious thought simply wasn’t the kind of person he wanted to become. That felt far too shameless. At least, that was how Kouhei personally saw it.

There was another complication as well.

Although Kouhei had once been an ordinary human, he had now completely become a demon. Hiyori, meanwhile, remained a completely ordinary human without knowing anything about his true nature. There were no rules preventing demons from entering relationships or even having sex with humans, so that part wasn’t actually an issue.

Perspective was the real problem. Hiyori had fallen for the Kouhei she believed was human. She had absolutely no idea that the person she had a crush with had already become something entirely different.

Learning that truth could easily change everything.

"Well... I honestly don’t think it’s right for me to add another person right now," Kouhei admitted after thinking about it for a few seconds.

"What are you talking about?" Hina replied almost immediately without sounding the least bit surprised. "You’re already the leader of the Kouhei Faction, so having many women by your side is considered completely natural. I suppose your way of thinking simply hasn’t caught up with your current position yet. Deep inside, you still see yourself as the human you used to be."

She was probably right.

Even after becoming a demon, many of Kouhei’s values had remained exactly the same.

Changing races turned out to be much easier than changing years of habits and beliefs.

Still, he wasn’t ready to cross that line just yet.

Considering how his life had been unfolding recently, though, he honestly couldn’t shake the feeling that another turning point would eventually arrive whether he was prepared for it or not.

After chatting for a little while longer, the group finally arrived at the mansion waiting at the end of the road. Standing near the entrance to welcome everyone home was Aria.

At first glance, she looked exactly like an elegant maid performing her daily duties with flawless posture and graceful movements. Anyone seeing her for the first time would probably assume she was simply another servant working inside the mansion.

That impression couldn’t have been more misleading.

Behind that gentle smile was an incredibly capable Demon Maid whose combat ability was every bit as impressive as her housekeeping skills. Honestly, invading this mansion because she looked harmless would probably become someone’s last really bad decision.

"Welcome back, everyone," Aria said with a graceful bow before turning her warm smile toward Kouhei. "Welcome home, Kouhei-sama."

Kouhei returned her smile almost immediately before giving a relaxed nod.

"We’re back," he replied warmly.
