Chapter 102: Isn’t It Obvious?
After giving her secretary a few final instructions, Vivienne left the company with Luca Hale by her side.
The atmosphere was noticeably different from when Luca had arrived that morning.
Employees still greeted him respectfully as they passed, but their attitudes had become much more restrained.
The young women who had eagerly rushed over to greet him earlier no longer dared to approach. Instead, they stood at a distance, watching Luca and Vivienne walk away together.
Disappointment was written all over their faces.
The two simply looked too well matched.
Standing side by side, they looked like the very definition of a power couple. Elegant, attractive, and perfectly in sync.
Faced with Vivienne’s beauty and presence, the girls couldn’t even muster the courage to compete, let alone approach Luca.
...
The parking lot was nearly empty.
As they walked toward the Koenigsegg, Vivienne naturally slipped her arm through Luca’s.
Their bodies drew close together, and the soft warmth pressing lightly against his arm stirred his thoughts.
’Not quite as... impressive as Naomi’s...’
’But still...’
’Ahem...’
’As for Sophie...’
’Well.’
’Petite girls have their own charm too.’
When they reached the car, Luca smiled and tossed the key fob into Vivienne’s hand.
"You drive."
Vivienne’s ruby-red lips curved into a delighted smile.
"Such a good boy."
She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the corner of his mouth, leaving behind the faintest trace of red lipstick.
Settling into the driver’s seat, she gently ran her fingers across the steering wheel.
Her alluring eyes sparkled with excitement.
She looked less like the cold chairwoman of Octaveo Pharmaceutical and more like an excited girl who had just been handed her favorite toy.
The engine growled to life.
Its deep, thunderous roar echoed throughout the quiet parking garage like a wild beast awakening from its slumber.
Vivienne grinned.
"Hold on tight."
The next second, she stepped firmly on the accelerator.
The Koenigsegg One:1 shot out of the parking lot.
Even among the busy afternoon traffic, the black hypercar dominated everyone’s attention.
The aggressive bodywork, paired with the unmistakable roar of its engine, made it impossible to ignore.
What surprised people even more was the driver.
Behind the wheel sat a breathtaking young woman in a flowing red dress.
Heads turned wherever they passed.
Many men on the roadside sighed dramatically.
"Rich lady! Please adopt me! I don’t want to work anymore!"
Naturally, Luca became the target of countless jealous stares.
He was ridiculously handsome, sitting comfortably in the passenger seat while an incredibly beautiful rich woman drove him around.
More than a few people silently labeled him a kept man.
Luca, of course, couldn’t have cared less.
This was Luca’s first visit to East Mountain Pass.
Nestled among rolling hills, the scenery was spectacular.
The mountain breeze carried a refreshing chill, while winding roads stretched into the distance like ribbons draped across the landscape.
The enormous parking lot was already packed with luxury cars.
Lamborghinis.
Ferraris.
Porsches.
McLarens.
Nearly every famous supercar brand was represented.
Most of the vehicles were worth around six hundred thousand dollars, while only a handful exceeded the million-dollar mark.
Yet among all those cars...
Not a single one could compare to Luca’s Koenigsegg One:1.
It wasn’t simply expensive.
It belonged to an entirely different level.
For the wealthy young heirs of San Fierro, it wasn’t a matter of whether they were willing to buy one.
It was that they couldn’t.
"Austin!"
Dominic Jose suddenly slapped Austin Silva on the shoulder.
"Look! A Koenigsegg!"
Austin rolled his eyes.
"Calm down."
"Another Koenigsegg driver in San Fierro that isn’t Bro Luca?"
Even so, he casually followed Dominic’s pointing finger.
The moment he saw the approaching black hypercar...
His eyes nearly popped out.
"Holy crap!"
"That really is Luca’s car!"
His shout immediately attracted Gavin Ross and Ayden Young.
The three turned simultaneously.
Sure enough...
The unmistakable Koenigsegg One:1 was steadily approaching.
All four of them stared in disbelief.
’Why is Luca here?’
’Doesn’t he hate racing?’
Normally, if given the choice between spending time at a racetrack or staying home with Naomi Monroe...
He wouldn’t even hesitate.
But there was no way they had mistaken the car.
Who besides Luca Hale could possibly own a Koenigsegg One:1 in San Fierro?
The black hypercar slowly rolled to a stop a short distance away.
The passenger door opened first.
Luca stepped out.
He calmly walked around the front of the car before opening the driver’s side door.
Then...
He extended his hand.
Austin blinked.
’Wait...’
’Why did Luca get out of the passenger seat?’
Curiosity got the better of them.
The four quickly walked over.
Just then, a slender, fair hand reached out from inside the car.
Luca gently took it.
A graceful figure stepped out.
For a brief moment...
Austin and the others completely froze.
Every single one of them rubbed their eyes.
They even wondered if they were hallucinating.
When they looked again...
Nothing had changed.
Standing beside Luca was a stunning woman in a crimson dress.
Her long wine-red hair danced in the mountain breeze.
Elegant.
Confident.
Beautiful beyond words.
It was Vivienne.
Without question.
More importantly...
The two of them were holding hands.
Austin’s brain practically stopped working.
’H-How is this possible?’
"Luca..."
He finally managed to squeeze out a sentence.
"Big Sister..."
"What’s going on here?"
Gavin, Dominic, and Ayden all stared at Luca with equally shocked expressions.
Luca found it strangely amusing hearing grown men call Vivienne "Big Sister."
Before he could answer, Vivienne smiled.
She deliberately lifted their joined hands.
"Isn’t it obvious?"
She casually tucked a strand of windblown red hair behind her ear before smiling even more brightly.
"We’re together now."
"WHAT THE FU—"
The four men inhaled sharply in perfect unison.
Although they had suspected something...
Hearing Vivienne personally admit it still stunned them.
More importantly...
There wasn’t the slightest trace of reluctance on her face.
Her smile was genuine.
Even joyful.
Everyone from San Fierro’s younger elite circle who knew Vivienne stood rooted to the spot.
In their minds, Vivienne had always been synonymous with cold elegance.
She was breathtakingly beautiful, yet few men had ever dared pursue her.
It wasn’t because they lacked interest.
It was because they lacked the courage.
Her family stood among the most influential in San Fierro’s upper class.
On top of that, she held a Master’s degree in Finance from Columbia University.
Whether it was family background, appearance, ability, or intelligence...
Vivienne outshone nearly every young heir present.
