Six divisions parted ways, their essence radars directing them to their specific targets.

This wasn’t a suicide mission, so naturally, the evolvers weren’t going to try to enter the hidden realm where the dragons hid themselves even if the gateway was nearby and accessible.

They didn’t need to, this island was the core anchor of this pocket dimension, and it was both the strongest and most vulnerable region of the entire dimension.

Normally the humans wouldn’t be able to locate it no matter how they tried.

But for the sake of the war, the dragons had to overlap this genesis island with reality, in order to deploy more troops to aid their allies in the war.

And this very action exposed their vulnerability to the very foes they were trying to eradicate.

And now the humans were here, and they came to deliver doom.

Elaine’s troop progressed directly to the very top of the super volcano, her trip promising to be the longest but her task easier since her and her troops’ job was simply to wake the dormant super volcano.

Who had to lead teams to install several special new-gen tech explosive devices into core regions deemed to have vital essence veins and tumultuous spatial currents.

All this while fending off the dragon attacks, though manageable threats, the task would be challenging regardless.

Seth’s eyes glistened, his troops’ mission was arguably the toughest of this attack...

Arriving at the highlighted destination, flagged by his essence scan radar, Seth lowered his gait and braced.

His soldiers sensing the coming danger quickly followed suit.

The wind howled and the blistering heat flowed thick, when suddenly, a wave of crimson blended with a rich hue of blue swept past their frames.

Their back armour reddening from both pressure and heat, as the clash caused sparks to dance.

Everyone’s heart skipped a beat; they had given those two opponents enough space to duke it out, yet they still weren’t safe.

Despite the few hundred kilometre distance, the shockwave still rippled strong and dangerous.

Those guys really were on another level, weren’t they?

Even if the other human evolvers still had limited knowledge of the power system they treaded on, they weren’t fools and weren’t blind.

They could all guess how strong their ally and that dragon had to be.

The shockwave settled down, while the heat in the surroundings still stifled the air, the oxygen in the surroundings continuously combusting and growing thinner.

Seth rose along with his division troops and got to work, with a few of them joining him to set up mini explosive devices round a region.

Their intentions were easily discerned; they were planning to blast open a cave.

They were swift and efficient in their actions, the others guarding round, both looking out and ready to fend off any attacks.

And within a few seconds, just as Seth wanted to install the last piece, he perceived another incoming, and quickly leveled his gait onto the scalding black earthen surface.

The others perceived the danger pretty quickly too and followed suit.

Without suspense another force wave swept past, grinding against their backs, but claiming none of them as its victim, the upheaval subsided.

Seth snapped the last piece in place, and slid out of range, his soldiers giving ample distance in tandem.

Actually the surface of the volcanic mountain was absurdly dense, but not to the level he wouldn’t be able to break through it.

But the amount of essence he would waste just to create an entrance for his troops wasn’t worth it, especially with him not knowing what would come up along the path to his destination.

In a situation like this every unit of essence saved counted, and he would use every other resource he could expend in order to save some essence if he could.

A wireless remote control pad appeared in his grasp, without hesitation his finger punched on the red button triggering a chain explosion.

The explosions were surprisingly concentrated and sharp, piercing right through the layer they needed.

The black surface crumbled into debris and sank right into the tunnel it was sitting upon.

Catching sight of the massive tunnel now revealed, he gestured to his soldiers to prepare.

Fortunately, Seth’s team didn’t consist of Mecha pilots, and merely donned smaller builds of battle suits; if not, getting into this tunnel wouldn’t be possible.

All the soldiers responded quickly, summoning their tethering belts, they all strapped them onto their armours.

Using superhuman strength, the group planted several massive anchor rods around, binding their tethers tight onto them.

Tether steel ropes unraveled from their belts as the soldiers pushed backwards towards the tunnels, angling themselves at the edge of the darkened pit they awaited their leader.

Seth’s gaze scanned his 139-strong men and women; over the past two weeks, he had fought with these guys; he had bled with these guys.

Saying he didn’t care for their safety would be a big lie, these were all bronze humans born from his blood.

Soldiers he had bonded with whether he wanted to or not, he didn’t want to see them die.

But with how difficult the coming phase was...

Closing his eyes, he shook his head, and banished the negative thoughts, as his eyes steeled.

Scanning their binds and anchors, making sure they were stable, he gave a prompt nod, and gave his order through transmission.

"Now!" His words echoing out as he leaped right into the tunnel using friction and gravity to bounce down the depths.

The soldiers of division one leaped after their leader wave after wave.

They were long accustomed to Seth, these guys didn’t give motivational speeches to raise morale, his orders were singular and concise.

Others might call this bad leadership, but the evolvers of division one would say otherwise.

Seth’s unwavering will, his determination to always charge ahead of his troops, and not steer the war from the backlines.

But constantly leading them through the worst of missions against the worst of foes. That... that was chivalry, bravery and charisma.

Seth’s mere presence in the battle was enough to heighten their morale, and their vigor.

Eyes blazing, the armored troops kept their gaze on the silhouette leading them into the depths, as they bounced off the uneven walls of the tunnels, sinking deeper into its depths...

The tunnel quaked, as another shockwave washed past the surface, but the group progressed unhindered and unbothered... until just then, in the depths of total darkness.

A pair of crimson eyes ignited from below, and then another pair lit, and another, and like a ripple effect, myriad crimson eyes burned in the dark.

Savage gazes trained on the fast approaching forces of division one...
