Without time to waste, the procedure for blood sample extraction quickly began.

The process seemed almost inhumane, but this was a world of evolvers — normal human means never applied to the current age.

From piercing Seth’s skin to creating large preservation tanks that could hold the blood supply of an Awakened rank evolver...

All required special materials. Fortunately, due to where they were, getting access to these items wasn’t nearly as hard as it should have been.

Seth was strapped to a mechanized chair, with dozens of needles sinking straight through his flesh, targeting veins that carried blood flow.

The plan was simple: they were going to suck as much as they could out of him, while regulating the output speed so Seth’s regeneration could keep up.

This was the fastest means they could use, especially since there were seven divisions of soldiers awaiting Seth’s presence for him to commence the ascension process.

Kylie triple‑checked the digits and the status of both systems and Seth. Only when she was certain did she give Victor, who was waiting in standby in the control room, the go‑ahead.

Holding the lever, he didn’t waste time and began to pull. The suction process initiated as mechanical groans rang and engines whirred and revved to life.

Numbers ticked up on the screen, but Seth’s body remained stable. Victor clicked his tongue in amazement.

The level of suction speed was currently enough to drain a full‑grown man of all blood in a matter of seconds, reducing their vitality to practically nothing.

Yet here was Seth enduring it, and it seemed they had barely scratched the surface of the sea of vitality contained in his body.

He cranked backwards, further increasing the suction gear. All transparent pipes flooded red with streams from the blood vessels of a single man.

Channeled into reserves of the four massive tanks at the edge of the workshop.

The lights flickered at the sudden jump in voltage drained, but it still wasn’t enough. The screen still showed Seth’s body in full relaxation and barely in a critical state.

Clearly the figure could still take more. Victor pulled the lever further back, the flashing indicators shifting from green to blue.

The suction flow further increased, while Seth’s body remained stable.

Almost as though they weren’t even able to crack into the sea of vitality it seemed to hold.

Victor was fascinated. How much vitality did this guy have? He wondered, but regardless didn’t that mean he would be able to handle full power?

With zero hesitation, Victor pulled on the lever to the limits. The sudden shift in power flow caused lights and screens to flicker.

Every indicator flashed red, indicating the machines were under stress, yet Seth’s diagnosis still remained the same — stable!

Though now one could see the process of replenishment, it just seemed the guy’s vitality was infinitely endless.

Unknown to the scholar, within the main room where Seth sat strapped to the mechanical chair device, a whirlwind of invisible world essence thrived.

Essence density in the atmosphere thickened, the World Saint title working its magic as the very world itself tried to supply him with vitality.

Of course, normally it wouldn’t have been enough, but the resonance caused by the vitality core of the gene skill Vital Overflow overlapped.

Infusing Seth’s being with so much vitality he might as well have been immortal. Kylie spectated closely with wide eyes.

And realized her prediction was wrong!

Seth losing this much blood didn’t seem to weaken the bronze cells within his body — no, it somehow empowered them even further.

In the microscopic world, the bronze cells were triggered by the overflow of vitality, suddenly bursting into frenzy, feeding on the vital essence as they divided at an abnormal pace.

Unconsciously, Universal Adaptation kicked in, his body instantly reconfiguring to resist the loss of blood at the same time.

Each second that passed, the turbines facilitating the pipes’ suction worked ten times harder, finding drawing blood several times more arduous with each flow.

The bronze genes multiplied and his blood density rose, condensed upon itself. His veins thickened and widened to facilitate a proper flow of the newly dense blood contents.

This process repeated itself over and over again until—

Boom! A sudden explosion and a turbine erupted, forced to its limit it couldn’t pull anymore blood.

And like that it was a cacophony of eruptions, one after another each of the twelve turbines gave in to destruction.

The suction force was not nearly enough to pull on Seth’s blood any further...

Kylie watched in awe. Victor watched in horror.

Kylie understood what just happened. As a bronze human herself, she was well aware of the perks that came with the racial upgrade.

Not only did the stats become more effective, and the human brain awaken a telekinesis‑like force, they also awakened a racial skill called Universal Adaptation!

She was pretty sure the passive skill was what kicked in. Her eyes glowed with wonder as she pondered where the limits of such a skill lay.

Couldn’t she practically make a perfect human that could survive anything?

Her curiosity surged, her eyes shining. Meeting Seth really was the greatest thing that had ever happened to her. Not only did she fall in love, she would get to see the power of human potential.

"Fortunately, we extracted enough blood sample," Victor exclaimed from the side, observing the parameters and indicators.

The four tanks weren’t full, but that wasn’t their target anyway.

With the amount of blood they had here, they should be able to prepare enough racial upgrade serum to meet the requirements of Division 1.

Kylie nodded, rushing out of the control room to help Seth out of the mechanical chair, extracting the needles to which his skin instantly repaired itself as Seth slowly opened his eyes.

He had consciously submerged his mind into a dormant state. After all, he wasn’t a big fan of needles, and besides he didn’t want to bear through the uncomfortable process of having his blood pumped out of him.

But the surprise came when Kylie helped him to his feet. His eyes widened as a sudden cooling rush came over him.

His heart thrummed with more power, and his body felt so light.

He closed his eyes for introspection and marveled at the realization of what happened. His blood density thickening had brought great advantages.

At least the content of oxygen and essence in his blood had tripled, the dense flow bringing more circulation and vitalization.

Just like that, the fear of bleeding out during battle had been resolved. At this current state, causing Seth to bleed could only be accomplished through supernatural means.

That and countless other benefits had been gained due to this adaptation.

Unfortunately, Seth didn’t have time to study the changes more intimately, as the alarm on his watch blared loud.

He sighed, turning to Kylie. "I’m sorry, I have to go."

She nodded with a grin. "Go, others need you more than I do."

Seth didn’t argue. Instead, he took her hand, his gaze flashing with resolve. "Next time I will make sure there will be time... time for us."

Kylie’s heart skipped a beat, her face flushing red. She quickly averted her gaze out of shyness, the curious side of her suddenly taking the back seat as she whispered, "I will be waiting..."

Seth nodded, the alarm from his watch blaring louder. He tapped it to switch it off; he grabbed her by the waist and delivered a sudden passionate kiss.

A certain spectator watched from above in sheer horror.

Seconds passed before Seth reluctantly let go and left.

Now he was done with preparations. It was time for the next phase...
