Though he had been acting all normal since that morning, he couldn’t shake off the weird feeling in his heart about the strange incident of the previous night.

"The pain didn’t feel disharmonious because they were fake."

"I couldn’t attack him because he wasn’t there."

"The blood and injuries all vanished because they weren’t real."

After Morden finally got that tiny epiphany, everything strange from last night’s incident slowly made much more sense now.

"Though the pain felt disharmonious, it still felt real, so how did that happen?

While he ran up to punch the knife too, the feeling of touch also felt real.

"Can illusions make that happen too?" he wondered. And then, he remembered another statement the man made while they were in battle.

"Do not assume you know your opponent unless you won’t know how you died."

’He must have possessed an illusion ability that can even cloud the body sensations,’

’Now that is some crazy stuff.’

Now that he thinks about it, compared to abilities like that, boost seems extremely basic and slightly lackluster.

"Don’t worry, Morden; think of how it will be after a few more evolutions," he said to himself with a smile.

He then realizes that he had been slowly veering off course.

"The fact that it is all an illusion changes a lot of things, and it raises a lot of questions."

"If my sensations were an illusion, does that mean my memories were also fake?"

"Did someone actually say that at night? Was he the one?"

"Was that Red ghost I saw even real?"

And last but not least.

"Why?"

All those questions came flooding in after his little amount of comprehension, making things much more confusing but also confirming one point.

"I need to find that person as soon as possible."

"But how?"

Ideas came up in Morden’s head, but they were all dismissed immediately after they were formed until he eventually came to a decision.

"If I can have crazy abilities like that, there are others too, absolutely."

"I need to visit the Bearer’s organization again tomorrow," he concluded.

More decided to move every other thought to the back of his mind and just sleep for now, and that was exactly what he did.

The rest of the night passed without Morden actually noticing anything strange except for the door being open for the third time in a row.

Since nothing had happened the two other times he had noticed it, Morden immediately ignored it and proceeded to pick up the watering can to tend to the Rose flowers that were already looking slightly energized and dandy.

When he was done with that, he moved to the kitchen to whip up a simple omelette for himself, which he enjoyed alone on the chair.

’That tasted nice,’

’Now it’s time to focus on the order of the day.’

He didn’t waste any more time; he quickly got dressed, picked up his ID card, and left the house with anxious steps.

"It shouldn’t be weird seeing me so soon again, right? I was told to come back, so she probably feels it’s weird."

During his walk, Morden did something he slowly started growing to enjoy, just scanning his environment. He had done the same thing while heading to the Commercial area to gather information; he wanted to go get things yesterday and now.

His sightseeing was eventually cut off when he actually got close to the Bearer’s organization, the droves of people were still going in and out of it like they were two days ago, but something he hadn’t noticed was the tattoos.

Most of the people moving around had a Bearer tattoo on a specific part of their body, and most of them didn’t try to hide it at all, especially those with theirs in more covered areas.

It was obvious they were intentionally changing their dressing styles to show off the tattoo.

Some ladies wore cropped tops to show off the tattoo on their bellies, while some men wore tank tops to show the tattoo on their shoulders.

"Is being a bearer really something to be so proud of?" Morden muttered while he entered the building.

"Welcome again, Mr. Tales," Morden suddenly heard a voice in front of him.

He looked up and realized it was the receptionist that had attended to him the last time.

"Hello," he greeted with a strange face.

"Did she know my Name from My ID card, if yes, then that’s still strange."

’With this crowd, she must have attended to multiple after me that day, yesterday, and even earlier this morning.

Noticing the slip-up she had made, the woman’s expression immediately shifted into an apologetic one, but she didn’t say anything.

Morden also decided to forget about it and go to the point.

"I would like to have my test redone; I was told to come back today."

Having regained her professionalism, the woman nodded and quietly led Morden to the room again.

This time there wasn’t anyone there, so he entered directly, but ten minutes later he came back out.

It was still the same problem, and at this point the man inside was already growing worried. Since there was nothing he could do about it, he had no choice but to send Morden back.

Outside the testing room, Morden stood there contemplating how to approach the receptionist with his request since he didn’t know if such things were allowed or not when he suddenly saw her coming towards him with someone behind her.

She arrived and instructed the person to head inside while she was about to turn around to leave, Morden rushed to block her path.

Surprised by his actions, the woman couldn’t help but look up at him with a questioning gaze.

He opened his mouth to speak, but the words weirdly hung in his throat, causing the woman to feel even stranger.

Just before she finally spoke up to ask about what the hell was going on, Morden finally managed to speak up.

"I would like to post a mission request for Bearers,"
