He wasn’t hallucinating, nor did he make a mistake; there was a purple crocodile in front of him, but there was also a bunny.

The bunny was unlike anything he had ever seen before; apart from the fact that it was completely blue from head to toe, it was also doing something unheard of in the animal or beast kingdom.

It was playing with a Predator.

The blue bunny was hopping all around the crocodile right in front of Morden; sometimes it would hop on its mouth, its head, or its back.

And the crocodile wasn’t fighting back in any way; if anything, it was enjoying it extremely. It playfully tried catching the bunny, but it ended up missing every time.

The sight in front of him left Morden looking like he had just seen a ghost.

Contrary to his expectations, the two beasts weren’t coming towards him at all; they were headed their own way, and he actually seemed to be the one obstructing them.

"I must be high on some kind of Omnisphere weed."

"Maybe that fog was just a large amount of smoked weed, and now I am feeling the effects."

He grabbed his head and shook it violently; he used both hands to snap himself awake, but every time the scene in front of him remained the same.

Soon the two beasts had vanished into the bushes again, leaving Morden with his muddled thoughts.

"This place is damn strange."

Hallucinations or not, weed or not, I need to leave this place as soon as possible.

Though he had plans to leave here, the strange events only served to increase his urgency.

Looking towards the still visible gigantic mountain to make sure he hadn’t lost his way, Morden continued his journey silently through the forest.

Every meter he moved was filled with quite a lot of obnoxious scanning of his surroundings; he couldn’t afford to let anything strange sneak up on him.

That sort of behavior had been condemned by instructors that take people on hikes, and that was because it makes people tired out easily.

Despite being a bearer and having things much easier than ordinary people, Morden still found it extremely difficult to keep moving at one point.

That was even after excluding the fact that he was currently under a stormy cloud and there was no sun that could cause dehydration.

His body told him he was tired, but Morden refused to listen; he just kept walking with only one thought dominating his mind.

’Get out of here as soon as possible,’

Soon Morden finally found out why they coined the saying, though the mind was willing the body wasn’t.

It got to a point that Morden attempted to move, but his body lacked the required strength to take a single step.

’Move you, Slacker; there’s a beautiful paradise over there.’

He kept trying to fight, but it all ended in nothing, as he still didn’t manage to take a single step after all that, forcing the realization on him.

’I think I should rest for a bit.’

He stopped trying to force any movement and instead let his body go, causing him to fall down to the ground, face up.

Thankfully for him, the ground was softer with the black grass growing on the red soil, making his fall less painful.

He remained like that for about ten minutes before his body finally rested enough for him to have some rudimentary movements.

He crawled away from lying flat on the ground to leaning on the trunk of the tree, where he managed to get about ten more minutes of peace.

Pow! He suddenly felt a small piece of rock hit on the forehead.

Woohoo!!!! Followed by the sound of monkeys chattering.

Snapped awake by the sudden change, Morden hurriedly opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings for danger.

He looked in the direction the chatter had come from, and what he saw standing on a tree shocked him greatly; he almost froze in shock as he analyzed the features.

’Golden fur, slightly larger and fairly disproportionate arms, small muscular bodies,’

’Golden-furred Monkeys,’

The instant he realized that, Morden rushed to his feet as fast as he could while his mind accelerated exponentially.

’What the hell? I thought no one knew where these guys were. Why are two of them standing in front of me?’

He had already started losing hope of ever finding them, and now he had chanced upon them. Right now, Morden didn’t know how to feel.

Wooohooo hahaha!!!!

The monkey’s chatter resounded through the air again as they threw another small rock at Morden; it even served to confirm to him that he wasn’t dreaming, especially what they did next.

The two monkeys turned around and started shaking their exposed butts to his face while shouting louder. There was no sign of animosity in their action at all.

’I need to find where the others are,’ Morden thought.

The two monkeys suddenly took off in the direction they were facing, forcing Morden to chase after them as fast as he could.

They jumped from tree to tree with unsurprising agility, making it difficult for tired Morden to follow their movements.

They would suddenly make random turns, stop to taunt him, or even hide among the canopy, but Morden still managed to spot them every single time since their colors were so conspicuous.

Seeing as the two Monkeys worked together to do all sorts of things to him, Morden couldn’t help but remember his recent teammates.

They had been separated during that strange fog, and since then he hadn’t seen or heard anything from them.

’I just hope they are fine,’

He quickly pushed that thought to the back of his mind to prevent anything from distracting him on his chase of his two targets.

Unknowingly for him, he had been slowly getting closer and closer to the heavenly side of the mountain, and with one more weave away from a tree, he saw a sight of his life; even the monkeys he was chasing had stopped.

"What the hell?"
