Chapter 436: Perfect Mutation Serum?
Stewart could not help but frown slightly. He thought, what kind of collaboration was this? He was here to talk to Michael about the big picture. But here he was, talking about technology?
The information about the scientists that Michael was talking about, they already had it. They understood that those scientists, before they began working for Michael, they had great achievements.
It was just that, they mostly did things in private, and how many breakthroughs they had in the technology of different fields and devices, only they themselves knew.
Regardless, fort Stewart, technology did not have much of an impact to the future. Yes, the technology was needed for the production of the mutation serums. But even then, the technology that Michael was talking about, it was definitely related to something else.
Talking about advanced mobile phones, televisions and so on. Those things, they were completely useless, especially if this entire world fell into chaos.
"I don’t understand something. What kind of technology are you referring to? Because if you are talking about some of the things that can make life convenient, it is definitely not something that we are currently focusing on.
Most of our efforts are being put on the production of the new mutation serum. The research is still ongoing, therefore, the research institute needs more support.
These things, if mutants suddenly appear, I believe that they will be completely useless. It would not be impossible for this world to suddenly experience an apocalypse due to civil war.
Not to mention, there is supposed to be that there are other forces outside this world. If they are enemies, and they suddenly decide to attack, those devices, they will not be useful at all.
Basically, the alliance is currently focused on the future. We have to make preparations for anything that we might face." Stewart explained, feeling a little impatient.
At this moment, he thought, how good he would be if he had met with the person behind Michael. At least, that person might have a broader view.
While Michael was great and all, but at the end of the day, he was just a teenager. Therefore, he was bound not to understand some things.
Looking at Stewart’s expression, Michael could guess what this guy was thinking. Still, he elaborated, "I believe that you guys, you are not planning to release the highest level of technology that you have at the moment.
But that is something that I want to change. I believe that only by releasing the technology, allowing people to use it, only then would we be able to achieve greater results after seeing the performance of the devices released.
Of course, I’m not implying that we supply the ordinary people with weapons. That can easily cause unnecessary deaths.
But still, we could facilitate the militaries of different nations, giving them different types of weapons. But of course, that will be under rules and regulations, preventing them from fighting against each other.
As for the technology that you can improve the ability of humans, it can be provided to the general public. If everyone in this world becomes strong, if there is going to be an invasion, we would have better chances.
It is true that there will be chaos in a situation where many people become mutants. But I believe that it would be better if we deal with the chaos now.
Once everything has settled, it should be a new era. And at that time, we would be prepared to face any external threats, instead of waiting until we are attacked, before we start dealing with both internal and external attacks."
As he reached this point, Michael paused, looking at the continuously shifting expression on Stewart’s face.
A few seconds later, he continued, "Additionally, I believe that you are kind of underestimating the level of technology that I am talking about. As compared to the achievements of your alliance, mine should be years ahead of you."
Stewart was shocked by Michael’s revelation. He had no anticipated that Michael was thinking in this direction. And what he said, it was actually true.
Everything that he had said, it made sense. It was just that, they had already thought about it before. That was especially with those that were opposing the alliance making their intentions clear.
It was just that, the alliance thought that at the moment, the grades of the mutation serums was low. Additionally, there were high probabilities of death, or mutations that end up inconveniencing someone, or not benefiting them in the slightest.
These were the things that they were currently trying to eliminate. As long as they could get the perfect mutation serums, they could finally discuss about the probability of spreading the mutation serums to ordinary people.
It was just that the actions of those against the alliance made things much more complicated than they had planned.
Those guys, they only wanted to be seen by the public, to be praised, to be worshiped for being strong. They had no any intention of helping the human race develop.
Additionally, based on the current death probabilities of the several grades of mutation serums, and the production costs, together with the number of mutation serums that could be produced at a time, it made things much more complicated.
Just how many humans in this world were there? It was in possible to be able to produce mutation serums that could be used by every human in the world at the same time.
Giving a limited number of people the mutation serums could easily cause riots, or even the mutants abusing the ability that they had, using them against ordinary people.
"Okay, let’s focus on something here. I would like to ask, what is the highest grade of the mutation serum that you can produce? Or maybe, have you had any breakthroughs in the production of the mutation serum?" Stewart took a deep breath before he asked.
Michael understood Stewart’s concern. He thought for a while, before he responded, "Currently, the mutation serums that we produce, they are completely safe.
There is no any probability of death or any other side effects. Additionally, each mutation serum is completely defined, guaranteeing the ability that it is leveled for."
After Michael said those words, there was an extended duration of silence. At the same time, Stewart looked at him with a completely dumbfounded expression on his face.
He could not believe what he had just heard. There was actually a mutation serum that did not have any side effects? There was literally no possibility of death after taking it?
Why was it so hard to believe it? After all, after years of research, depending on different types of experts from all over the world, they had not succeeded in producing even the lowest grade mutation serum, that had a low probability of death.
In fact, the low grade mutation serums were the ones with the highest probability of death as compared to the other grades of mutation serums.
The improved versions were the ones with the low probability of that, and the ability that they could allow a person to awaken, were much more powerful.
If they were using the same logic, could it be possible that Michael and the people behind him had already achieved success in the production of the perfect mutation serum?
Otherwise, it was impossible for what Michael had said to be true.
It was just that, it was difficult for Stewart to completely believe what Michael had said. In any case, Michael had not provided any proof of what he said.
Michael of course understood this. But, he did not bother to explain.
When he met Stewart, he had not really thought about what he had just told him. In fact, he had not thought that they would be talking about the mutation serum.
Now, his decision to reveal the mutation serum, it was about a consideration that he had in mind.
For the alliance, they could only make guesses about the probability of other civilizations existing out there. But for Michael, he believed that they existed. The proof of that was the system.
Michael did not know about how many civilizations existed out there. He did not know if those civilizations would become their enemies or not.
Even the system that had brought him to his current level, he did not completely trust it. For the time being, the system had not done anything to harm him. But who could tell about the future?
And, what was the purpose of the system appearing in this world? Who was the creator of the system?
There were so many questions, yet there were no answers. Therefore, Michael thought, it would be a good idea to reveal the mutation serums.
Still, he had no any intention of revealing the grade SSS mutation serums. Instead, he would limit the mutation serums that he gave out to grade S.
That way, he would not have to worry about someone with an ability targeting the people that he cared about.
For the grade SSS mutation serums, he thought, he would be the one to give them out. And it would be only to those that he trusted, or the bio humans under him.
"So, what are your thoughts on this? Can we have a collaboration on the issue of technology? I can help you with your research, by providing you with some samples.
If you can succeed, that will be up to you. But I believe that I would have already done my part by doing so." Michael continued.
