Chapter 442: Overpowered, Scare
The information allowed him to be able to understand the time manipulation ability that he had just acquired. He understood the limitations and the strengths that this ability possessed.
As he finally began digesting the information that he had received, Michael was left shocked. This was just too overpowered.
According to the information, he could manipulate time within 1.5 km radius around him. As long as anything was within this range, it could be affected by this ability.
Of course, if someone or something was for away, the impact of the time manipulation ability would not be as great as those very close to him.
Therefore, if someone had a method of resisting the time manipulation ability, if they were almost at the edge of the 1.5 km range, they might be able to break free.
The maximum acceleration over an area was 100 times, while the maximum self acceleration was 300 times.
With this, he could easily make things around him move at a speed of 100 times, if he targeted them. And if he used the time manipulation on himself, he could easily improve his speed by 3 times.
The maximum duration of the time acceleration for both accelerations was 3 minutes. Every 3 minutes, he would have to activate the ability once again.
When he went through this information, Michael was disappointed. He had hoped that this ability could allow him to be able to accelerate time for a longer duration than just 3 minutes.
Simply put, he was intending to use this ability to accelerate the time within the training chamber. That way, the effectiveness of the training chamber would increase.
But it seemed that it would be impossible for him to do that, at least, not by using his own ability. He decided, later on, he would look through the system store, to look for something that could be used to accelerate time within an area.
The next ability of the time manipulation ability was time-stop. It allowed Michael to be able to stop time for a maximum of 30 seconds, and he could consecutively stop time four times.
Unfortunately, after those 4 times, he would have to wait for at least 20 seconds, before he could once again use the time stop ability.
Then, there was time reversal, which allowed him to be able to reverse time by 1 minute within the range of 1.5 km. If he targeted a single person or object, he could reverse the time by 3 minutes.
It took quite a while for Michael to get a grip of the information, finally understanding how to fully controlled the ability that he had gotten.

He let out a deep breath, feeling relieved. Even though he was kind of disappointed about some of his expectations not being met, this ability, it gave him incredible opportunities.
That was especially if he targeted a single person, he could stop the time around a certain object, maybe something like a bullet, allowing the person who was being targeted by the bullet to get out of the flying trajectory of the bullet.
In case someone was terribly injured, he could reverse time around the wound, making the place to go back to the condition it was before it was injured.
Truthfully speaking, Michael had been expecting much more than this. He thought, since this was a grade SSS ability, he might be able to manipulate much more time than this.
But now, having already gotten the ability, he kind of understood the reason why he could only manipulate time within small limits.
At the end of the day, it was not as if this ability could allow him to be able to control the time within the entire universe.
Within the range of effect of the ability, he could stop the time. But that did not imply that time stopped in the other parts of the world. Therefore, it would obviously lead to some problems, especially if he ended up stopping time within the effective range for longer durations.
Maybe this was the way that the universe was balancing things. Allowing someone to be able to control the time, but limiting them so that they cannot affect the bigger picture.
Just as Michael was about to start browsing through the system store, to look for an item that he could use to accelerate time within the training chamber, the door to his room was suddenly opened.
Michael looked at Kate, who had come over, puzzled. Looking at her expression, it seemed that she was worried.
Additionally, the moment that she entered, she looked around, as if she was kind of anxious. But after she saw Michael, she visibly released a sigh of relief.
"Hey, what’s wrong? Did something happen?" Michael asked, a little puzzled.
At the same time, he was wondering, could it be that during the time that he had been affected by taking the mutation serum, something had happened? Maybe, during that time, he was not able to perceive some changes happening outside?
"I detected some fluctuations of someone using an ability. I’m already used to the ability that you have, and I kind of know the energy fluctuations. But this was different, and it affected me.
That was why I came over, after everything went back to normal. I’m not really sure what had happened, but I feel that something happened." Kate explained as she approached Michael.
Michael was surprised for a moment, before he realized what was going on. It seemed that Kate had noticed the energy fluctuations brought about by the time manipulation ability.
After all, this ability had ended up affecting things around him. Michael was not sure if it had affected everything within the range of 1.5 km, but from what Kate had said, it seemed possible.
One might be wondering why the mutant observation center did not detect these fluctuations, or any other time that Michael acted.
It was simply because the fluctuations brought about by grade SSS abilities were beyond the detection range of the equipment possessed by the observation center.
Because of this, even if Michael was standing inside the observation center, and used his abilities, he would not be detected in the slightest. Only the eyes would be able to tell if he was using his abilities or not.
But, it was completely different for those that possessed grade SSS abilities. They did not need to be physically present, to be able to detect the fluctuations.
There was a certain range that if a mutant took action, they would be able to detect it. And, Michael had been detecting quite a number of fluctuations recently.
He understood that this might be related to what Stewart had been talking to him about. Regardless, he did not bother to deal with that, as he had already given the alliance a solution.
Taking Kate’s hand, Michael said softly, "You don’t need to worry, I was just trying something here. I’m sorry to have scared you."
"What kind of ability is that? It really is strong, to the extent that I realized that I could not deal with it at all. In fact, I’m not really sure what had happened." Kate sat down as she responded.
She was not sure about what had happened. She just felt the fluctuation, and she felt that she was being affected. Before she could do anything, everything went back to normal.
She did not notice anything out of place, but she knew that the fluctuation was definitely not normal. It was not normal for Michael to use his abilities within the mansion. He only used his abilities occasionally while training at the villa that contained the training chamber.
"It is a life-saving ability. Don’t worry, you will be able to experience it soon, because I’m trying to make some arrangements." Michael stated with a mysterious smile.
Of course, even though what he was planning to do had nothing to do with the ability that he possessed, but they were kind of related.
Therefore, he decided that he would install the device in the training chamber first. After that, he would observe Kate’s reaction when she realized that despite training for a long time, only a short amount of time had gone by outside the training chamber.
Michael did not doubt that something like that existed within the system store. After all, there were quite a number of science fiction movies that talked about this concept.
Hence, judging by the working mechanisms of the system store, definitely, something like that existed.
Kate on the other hand felt relieved. She had been worried, and had rushed over to see Michael, afraid that something might have happened to him.
Now, seeing that he was okay, and he was trying out something, she felt much more at ease. But even then, she was quite curious about what he was trying out.
Still, because of what he had said, she decided to wait. At the same time, she just hoped that Michael would not have to use it, if possible, ever. After all, if it was a life-saving method, it could only be used in a situation where a life was threatened.
Kate did not hope for them to face a situation where their lives were in danger, or the lives of those that they cared about were at risk.
"Okay, let me go back and continue with the preparations." Kate said a few minutes later.
Michael nodded and watched her as she left. Immediately after, he accessed the system store, before he began filtering through the items.
A few seconds later, he found what he was looking for. And, a small smile appeared on his lips as he read the description of the item.
