Chapter 119: Divine Lightning Body - Divine-rank Talent
Cain slowly raised one hand and a tiny spark of golden-white flame appeared above his palm.
Despite being no larger than the tip of his thumb, the temperature around him immediately rose.
Origin Solar Flame.
His lips slowly curved upward.
’This is fucking ridiculous.’
He had gained far more from Sonya’s investment than he expected.
Solar Origin Body had massively increased his Mana and Magic while transforming the quality of his Fire energy.
Origin Sun Manifestation could push his Fire abilities to absurd levels of destructive power.
And Origin Solar Lance finally gave Piercing Momentum an energy-based weapon he could create whenever he wanted.
Cain closed his fingers and the golden-white flame instantly disappeared.
Cain then opened his personal information.

[System Points: 513,200]
[Inventory: 6 cubic meters]
A satisfied smile gradually appeared on his face.
The twenty additional Sense had already improved his perception, but the increase brought by the Solar Origin Body was on a completely different scale as it quintupled his Mana and Magic Stats.
However, the additional two thousand eight hundred Mana from the Talent had raised his actual reserve to a level that Cain would have considered ridiculous only an hour ago.
His Magic had received the same enormous increase.
More importantly, those enormous bonuses came together with the Origin Solar Flame and two extremely powerful skills.
The slight disappointment he had felt after failing to receive another Red Scroll from Sonya’s Investment Return disappeared completely.
If the System wanted to give him something like this instead, Cain would gladly accept it every time.
He closed the status panel.
Only then did he notice Ron still staring at him from several meters away.
Considering the state of the street, his reaction was understandable.
Dark patches covered the pavement where the heat had burned through dirt and dried vegetation. The paint on the closest abandoned car had blistered along one side, while faint waves of heat continued rising from the road.
Ron had witnessed Sonya’s awakening only a short while ago.
Nine miniature Suns had appeared above her as tremendous Fire energy erupted from her body.
What had just happened to Cain looked somewhat similar, but only to some extent.
The enormous Sun that had appeared above Cain carried an oppressive presence far beyond what Sonya’s awakening had produced.
There was also one problem Ron could not understand.
Cain had not opened anything.
He had simply told him to stand guard before suddenly erupting with enough Solar energy to turn the surrounding street into an oven.
Ron finally could not hold back anymore.
"What the hell did you just do?"
Cain glanced at him.
"Don’t ask too many questions."
"What do you mean, don’t ask? You suddenly summoned a fucking sun over your head and you’re telling me not to ask questions?"
Cain ignored the growing curiosity on Ron’s face and opened his Inventory.
"That’s not why I brought you here."
A crimson Scroll appeared in his hand.
Ron’s next question immediately disappeared.
His eyes locked onto the Scroll.
Cain raised it slightly.
"Here... the scroll that I promised you before."
Ron stared at him before looking at the crimson parchment again.
Ron walked closer, although his usual shameless excitement was noticeably restrained this time.
"Are you sure?"
Cain raised an eyebrow.
"You don’t want it?"
"I didn’t say that."
"You look like you’re about to reject it."
Ron immediately shook his head.
"Don’t misunderstand me. I’m just asking if you’re sure to give such a precious thing to me."
Cain chuckled.
"If you don’t want this one, I’ll find you a Yellow Scroll later. That’s what I originally promised anyway."
The moment those words left his mouth, Ron vanished.
A faint gust swept past Cain.
By the time Cain looked to the side, Ron had already appeared roughly a meter away with the Red Scroll in his hand.
Cain looked at his empty fingers.
"..."
Ron inspected the crimson parchment with a satisfied expression.
"The Red one is fine."
Cain nearly kicked him.
He had at least expected the bastard to maintain his hesitation for another few seconds.
Still, Cain preferred it this way.
There was no need for them to start saying sentimental nonsense to each other.
Ron knew Cain well enough to understand that he would not hand over something this valuable without thinking about it first. If Cain decided to give it to him, then he had his reasons.
Ron trusted that.
Just as Cain would have trusted him in the same situation.
"Open it," Cain said.
Ron needed no further instruction as he immediately unrolled the crimson parchment.
For a brief moment, nothing happened for a second.
But then the entire Scroll erupted with bluish-white light.
Lightning exploded around Ron.
Cain’s expression changed as he quickly moved several steps backward.
Countless arcs of electricity spread from the dissolving Scroll before rushing into Ron’s body. His muscles immediately tightened as the violent Lightning Mana entered his arms and chest.
"Fuck!"
Ron clenched his teeth.
Lightning crawled across his skin before sinking beneath it, causing his muscles to tighten violently.
Unlike the overwhelming heat produced during Sonya’s awakening, the air around Ron became heavily charged.
Tiny arcs of electricity jumped between nearby pieces of exposed metal, while his black hair slowly lifted from the static surrounding his body.
The Lightning Mana pouring from him continued growing denser.
A notification finally appeared before Ron.
[You have obtained Divine Lightning Body.]
Ron’s attention immediately focused on the new Talent.
