Chapter 120: Heavenly Thunder Dragon Spear Skill
[Divine Lightning Body - Divine-rank Talent]
[Agility +300%. Physique +50%. Mana +100%. Magic +100%.]
[Transforms the user’s body into a Divine vessel possessing extraordinary compatibility with Lightning energy.]
[Greatly increases Lightning affinity, movement speed, acceleration, reaction speed, nervous-system performance, Mana circulation, and resistance to Lightning.]
[Lightning Mana naturally strengthens and stimulates the user’s muscles, nerves, and Mana pathways, allowing the body to move and react at speeds that would normally be impossible.]
[The user’s body becomes increasingly resistant to the tremendous physical strain produced by extreme acceleration, sudden changes in direction, and high-speed combat.]
Ron’s eyes widened.
Three hundred percent Agility.
For someone whose entire combat style revolved around speed, that increase alone was already absurd.
But before he could properly process it, more information appeared.
[The user has obtained the Skills: Lightning Flash, Thunderclap Momentum, and Heavenly Thunder Dragon Spear.]
[Heavenly Flash Overdrive has evolved into Thunder God Overdrive.]
Ron froze.
"What the..."
The information continued.
[Lightning Flash]
[Instantly releases concentrated Lightning Mana throughout the user’s legs and body, producing an explosive burst of acceleration.]
[May be used repeatedly and in different directions, though consecutive uses rapidly increase Mana consumption.]
[Thunderclap Momentum]
[Accumulates Lightning energy and physical momentum as the user moves and accelerates.]
[The accumulated power may be transferred into physical or weapon attacks, greatly increasing their speed, force, and destructive power.]
[The greater the user’s speed and accumulated momentum, the stronger the resulting attack.]
Ron’s expression became increasingly stunned as he continued reading.
Both Skills were almost perfectly suited to how he already fought.
Lightning Flash gave him something far more useful in battle than simply increasing his running speed.
He could now release explosive bursts of acceleration whenever necessary, allowing him to rapidly close distance or change direction during high-speed combat.
Thunderclap Momentum complemented that ability even further.
Speed had always been Ron’s greatest advantage, but it did not automatically give him enough offensive power to break through extremely durable enemies.
Now, the faster he moved and the more momentum he accumulated, the stronger his next attack would become.
His greatest strength could finally be converted directly into destructive power.
Then his attention moved toward the evolved Skill.
[Thunder God Overdrive]
[The evolved form of Heavenly Flash Overdrive.]
[Floods the Divine Lightning Body with enormous amounts of Lightning Mana, forcibly stimulating the user’s muscles, nerves, and Mana pathways beyond their normal limits.]
[Greatly increases Agility, acceleration, reaction speed, and Lightning output while active.]
[The user may increase the output of Thunder God Overdrive for even greater speed, but doing so drastically increases Mana consumption and physical strain.]
Ron stared at the description.
His original Heavenly Flash Overdrive had already allowed him to reach frightening speeds.
The biggest problem had always been the burden it placed on his body.
Even with his Physique Talent helping him withstand the strain, pushing Heavenly Flash Overdrive too far caused intense pressure throughout his body, especially in his legs. Its Mana consumption also became increasingly difficult to sustain at higher outputs.
Divine Lightning Body directly strengthened his resistance to those exact weaknesses.
Then, on top of that, the Skill itself had evolved.
Before Ron could fully comprehend how much faster he had become, his attention shifted toward the final Skill.
[Heavenly Thunder Dragon Spear]
[Condenses an enormous amount of Lightning Mana around the spear before compressing it toward the spearhead.]
[Upon thrusting, the accumulated Lightning is released from the spear in the form of a massive Thunder Dragon that tears through everything along its path.]
[The Thunder Dragon possesses tremendous speed and penetration. Upon striking its target, the compressed Lightning violently erupts, causing devastating external and internal damage.]
[The power of the Thunder Dragon increases according to the speed and momentum carried by the user at the moment the spear is thrust.]
Ron stopped reading.
His gaze slowly lowered toward the spear in his hand.
Faint arcs of bluish-white Lightning continued crawling along the shaft before gathering near the spearhead.
For several seconds, he remained unusually silent.
Then his grip tightened as a wide grin slowly appeared across his face.
Cain noticed immediately.
"No."
Ron looked at him.
"I didn’t even say anything."
"You’re about to test it."
Ron glanced toward the empty road ahead.
"There are plenty of buildings."
"We’re going back now."
"Just one attack, please?"
"No." Cain shook his head.
Ron’s expression darkened as he knew that once Cain was set on something, he wouldn’t change it.
They had already wasted enough time experimenting with their newly obtained abilities.
Sonya had awakened a Divine-rank Talent.
Cain himself had obtained an Origin-rank Talent and briefly tested Origin Solar Lance.
Now Ron had gained an entire collection of new abilities along with an evolved Skill. He had more than enough things to experiment with once they had time.
The others were still waiting for them.
"Tch."
Ron clicked his tongue in disappointment.
The Lightning gathering around the spear slowly dispersed as he reluctantly suppressed the Mana inside his body.
"Fine."
Cain turned around.
"Let’s go."
Ron followed him back toward the intersection.
Along the way, Cain briefly checked his Inventory.
One Red Scroll remained.
He also still possessed two Orange Orbs returned from his recent investments.
Naturally, the thought of using everything immediately crossed his mind.
However, Cain had no reason to rush.
He had already experienced several enormous improvements within a short period of time. He had not even fully tested Solar Origin Body yet, and Origin Solar Lance alone opened many possibilities when combined with Piercing Momentum.
Using every valuable resource merely because he possessed them would be pointless.
Cain closed his Inventory.
He would keep the remaining Red Scroll for now.
The Orange rewards could wait as well.
There would eventually be a better opportunity to use them.
By the time Cain and Ron returned, the others had already finished preparing to depart.
The remaining supplies had been secured inside the vehicles, while the people responsible for driving had finished checking the fuel and condition of each vehicle.
Cain slowed down as they approached the intersection.
His gaze soon landed on Evelyne, a faint smile appeared on his face when he saw something on her head.
