Then the sky changed.

"Rumble!"

The clouds parted with a resonant boom, and a figure descended from above, dropping through the atmosphere like a meteor, trailing streams of compressed air and crackling electrical energy.

"Boom!"

The figure landed at the center of the market square sending out a shockwave of wind and dust rippling outward. Every goblin within fifty meters was knocked off its feet.

Dexter shielded his eyes from the dust cloud and when it cleared, a woman stood at the center of the impact crater.

Long silver hair flowed behind her like a river of moonlight. A black combat coat with silver trim clung to her frame, moving in the wind like living shadow. On her chest, gleaming in the morning light, was an S-rank badge.

She was the woman he had seen at the Hero Association entrance. The one Rachel had pointed out. The rising star who had recently been promoted to S-rank after clearing her first S-rank dungeon.

Aurora.

The one with the sky manipulation talent.

Her gaze swept across the market as she observed everything going on.

Suddenly, she glanced upwards .

"Boom!"

She raised one hand and the space itself twisted.

A four-armed goblin that had been climbing a building nearby suddenly found the air around it warping.

The air compressed and slapped the wrapped around the creature’s body, sending it flying through the air directly toward Aurora.

The S-rank hero didn’t even blink. She extended her palm as the goblin’s body arrived, gently pressing her hand against its back.

"Crumble!"

The creature disintegrated.

The goblin’s body shattered into multiple pieces—arms, legs, torso, head—all separating cleanly as if the creature had been made of glass struck by a hammer. The fragments fell to the ground in a shower of green blood and ruptured organs, pooling beneath Aurora’s boots.

Dexter who had just killed a beast and saw this had a change of expression.

’That talent...’

If she pressed that palm against his body . Dexter wasn’t certain his body could withstand it.

He shook his head and resumed his killing.

Across the district, the spear-wielding hero Bullet Spear Hero continued his own killing spree. His kill count was impressive, easily matching Dexter. But unlike Dexter, he still hadn’t directly saved a single civilian.

But Aurora was on another level entirely.

The S-rank hero moved through the battlefield like a ghost, her silver hair trailing behind her like a banner. Every goblin she approached died eith a simple touch.

Her kill count was the highest by far. In the time Dexter had killed thirty, she had dispatched over forty. The goblins didn’t even slow her down.

In under three minutes, the heroes had turned the tide. Most of the civilians in the market district had been evacuated to safe zones, and the streets were now littered with the corpses of two-armed and four-armed goblins.

The heroes excitedly killed more of the beasts as adrenaline fueled them.

They were so focused on their killing sprreeband raising their ranks that none of them noticed the dimensional gate begin to violently ripple again.

A massive hand, reached out, grabbed the edges of the torn space and pulled it apart as it walked out.

A Six-Armed Goblin King. The dungeon boss had emerged.

There were two ways to resolve a dungeon outbreak. The first was to use a space stabilizer to temporarily seal the dimensional gate.

This was the easiest and most common method, as it immediately stopped the flow of monsters, but it didn’t guarantee the same gate wouldn’t reopen in the future.

The second, and permanent, method was to kill the dungeon boss. Once the boss was slain, the dungeon core was destroyed, ensuring it would never appear again.

But a boss of this caliber wasn’t something a group of low-ranking heroes could simply gang up on.

And the King was not alone.

Four massive, four-armed goblins stepped out behind the boss. These were elite Goblin commander, each radiating a terrifying, suffocating aura.

A Mutated Class monster equaled a Meta Hero. A Fiend Class equaled a Super Hero. And an Ultra Class equaled an Ultra Hero.

The four commanders were Ultra Class monsters, ranked at Levels One, Two, Three, and Four respectively.

But the boss, the Six-Armed Goblin King—was a Level Seven Ultra Class monster.

They appeared silently, observing the distracted heroes with predatory amusement.

Without warning, the Level Four commander blurred into motion as it appeared behind a celebrating hero who was busy finishing off a Level 5 Fiend Class goblin.

"Squelch!"

The commander swept stabbed its crude sword into the hero’s neck.

"W-what?"

The hero ea stunned as she felt a cold sensation in her neck as her spine severed and a blade lashed through her neck.

Before the body could even hit the ground, the commander opened its massive jaws and bit half of the female hero’s head.

The skull popped like a grape. The monster chewed loudly, grinning happily as blood and brain matter oozed down its chin.

"Be careful!" someone seem to have noticed this and screamed in terror frim across the street.

The heroes’ expressions changed as they looked around.

But it was too late. The commanders had already spread out, charging into the crowd of heroes with devastating force.

The Goblin King’s burning crimson eyes swept the battlefield, instantly locking onto the most dangerous presence: Aurora.

Space twisted as it simply folded the distance, appearing directly behind the silver-haired S-rank hero.

Its massive, armored fist swung downward toward her massive chest.

Before the blow could land—

"BOOM!!!"

A massive explosion rang out a sa massive force slapped the Goblin King mid attack, sending it skidding sideways, its massive feet digging trenches into the asphalt as though the road were made of soft sand.

Aurora turned as she looked at her side.

Beside her was Dexter. He head the one who attacked and intercepted the Goblin King midway.

Aurora’s face was cold and indifferent as she glanced at him as though looking at an ant. "I didn’t need your help."

Dexter didn’t even look at her.

He glanced toward a battered taxi sitting just behind where Aurora had been standing.

Without waiting for her response, he flashed over to the taxi. Using his enhanced hearing, he had heard the heartbeat of someone hiding beneath the dashboard.

If the Goblin King’s strike had connected with Aurora, the resulting shockwave of their clash would have instantly pulverized the old man inside the vehicle.

That was why Dexter had intercepted the blow.

He ripped the dented car door off its hinges, gently pulled the trembling old man out, and activated Flame Burst Step.

In a blur of crimson fire, he carried the civilian out of the warzone, depositing him safely in an alley three blocks away.

The old man quickly thanked him."Thank you, hero. Thank you."

Dexter merely nodded, turned, and launched himself back toward the market district.

At this moment, the four commander beasts were tearing through the heroes. The difference between the Superhuman Realm and the Ultra Realm was as vast as the distance between the earth and the sky.

While every level breakthrough in the Superhuman Realm granted a fifty-point increase to each attribute, the Ultra Realm granted a staggering one hundred and fifty points to each attribute per level.

But it wasn’t just numbers. There was a fundamental, qualitative shift in the body at the Ultra Realm. As one edged into the transcendent realm, they began to become one with the world.

Their mana changed at a molecular level, gaining the terrifying ability to condense from pure energy into solid, physical matter!

A Level Four Ultra Goblin commander grabbed a fleeing civilian. It drove its clawed hand directly into the man’s belly.

The man screamed, a sound of pure, unadulterated agony, as the beast’s arm plunged through his abdomen. With a violent yank, the commander ripped the man’s spine entirely out through his stomach.

The civilian didn’t die instantly.

He hung in the air, held up by the beast’s grip, screaming as his spine which was still dripping with blood and gore was waved in the air like a trophy.
