After placing him there, she pushed herself up. Her gaze fell on the remaining fourteen orcs, and some of them were already injured.

A faint smirk curled on her lips as she said. "You took four down and damaged these many?" A laugh left her before she continued. "You definitely are making me feel jealous because what absurd amount of growth rate is this?"

The joking humour disappeared in just a single second; the air around her thickened as her eyes narrowed. "I’ll ask about this later." She muttered under her breath.

Her hand travelled to the hilt of her strapped long sword as she pulled it once. The straps around the sword’s body loosened right away; it was now resting nicely in her grip.

Her fingers tightened over the hilt; her ocean-blue mana poured out through her body and wrapped the sword’s blade entirely.

This coating wasn’t normal because no normal being can coat mana over weapons. To do this, one should have perfect ability and control over their mana. That’s why the world had given the name to this ability as ’Sword Aura’.

She leapt high in the air and landed right in the middle of the horde of orcs. When her feet touched the ground, a loud THUD echoed through the air; the force of it was enough to crack the floor in a web-like structure.

Without wasting any second, her gaze travelled around her. She noticed that all directions had orcs, scattered in mini groups.

She didn’t give the orcs any time to comprehend the current situation. She immediately leapt towards the group on her left, as they were the closest to her. Her body moved with incredible speed as she raised her colossal longsword into the air, tilting it slightly to the left while her aura intensified around her.

Slowly, she brought her longsword down in a clean, wide arc that cut through the torsos of the orcs effortlessly. Two orcs were dropped dead as their torsos had been slit open; blood flowed endlessly through their destroyed veins.

She didn’t wait long and turned her attention to the other group of orcs, which were already rushing at her from different directions. Four of them attacked in unison, two from her front and the other two from behind.

Right away, she jumped up in the air, which resulted in their maces striking the ground. A loud BANG echoed through the air.

While she leapt back down, she swirled in the air around three hundred sixty degrees as her heel struck all the orcs in a clean hit.

Their heads turned, and CRACK came through their necks right away. Their throats had rotated, saliva drooled through their mouths, and their eyes had rolled up in their sockets, which only left their sclera there.

They all dropped on the ground in unison; their bodies lay there lifeless. Now only eight of them remained standing, but instead of losing morale, they had gotten even fiercer after seeing more of their own lose their lives.

All of them attacked her together; they didn’t want to give her even a sliver of a second to regain her composure because they had understood one thing: ’This woman is dangerous.’

A grin appeared on her face as she muttered. "I have faced enough of you to know how idiotic your species is."

She rushed at the orcs coming from the left, her sword raised high as her aura flared, pouring through the blade. The energy surged forward, shaping itself into three massive ocean‑blue hands that reached out and seized the orcs, lifting them into the air.

With precise control, she tightened her aura, striking all three at once. Their bones began to CRACK, the sound echoing as their skulls split open. Blood burst from their eyes, mouths, and ears, spilling down in gruesome streams.

When they had lost their lives, she retracted her aura back into the blade as the bodies fell on the ground. Her attention shifted towards the others; now visible worry was reflected through their faces.

Sweat had appeared on their bodies, and brows had furrowed as they shared glances.

They still rushed at her once again; this time they had started swinging their maces mindlessly. She was dodging all of their attacks effortlessly because it was way easier to predict such rage-filled movements.

She lowered her body, adjusted her weight forward, and lunged at the orcs. Her long sword was tilted to the right; she swung it once, and the air around her aura seemed to flicker once before the blade struck the orcs’ bodies.

All five of them got captured in the fury of her calm aura, which felt like the incoming of a colossal wave of a tsunami.

When all the orcs were lying there lifeless, thoughts rushed inside her mind. ’Why were B-Rank gate monsters here? It never happened before, so why now?’

Before she could continue thinking any further, she remembered that Ethan was unconscious. She leapt high in the air and landed on the roof where Ethan was stationed.

Ethan had already woken up; his eyes were open, but he was simply staring at the sky.

She noticed him but didn’t close the distance between them for now.

’What the fuck am I even doing with my life? What did I think before rushing at all eighteen of them at the same time? I increased my affinity to C-Rank and went to challenge multiple B-Rank monsters... typical idiotic overconfident person’s thing I did back then.’

His head shot to his right, where he noticed that Sara was standing; he already knew that it was her who had helped him survive.

He had heard her voice while she was fighting the orcs before. A tired smile crept onto his lips as he muttered lightly. "Thank you for before, Sara... But how are you here? I thought that you had gone to the A-Rank dungeon today."

Gently, she crossed her arms and took a good look at Ethan before answering. "Our plan changed because one of our party members had an ache in his back because he had suffered an injury. We can’t attempt a higher-rank dungeon with casualties."
