Chapter 9: Is The Husband Blushing?
Ethan blinked a few times, trying to settle on all the information that she just told him. ’Does the color of the mana represent the nature of its user?’ Well, I’ll surely want to figure out what my nature is. But for now, let’s continue training.’
He didn’t waste any more time, grabbed the sword’s hilt even tighter, and started swinging it a few more times.
They both kept training for the next few more hours; the sun had fully set now, which allowed the beautiful rays of the moon to stretch across the land. Shadows of objects fell over the ground; they seemed larger than usual.
Ethan sat on the ground, both hands resting on his knees. His sword was kept beside him as he kept panting deeply. A cold breeze of night brushed past him, which made his sweat shimmer brightly in the broad moonlight.
Sara was standing next to him; she looked at the moonlight aimlessly. Dark clouds were covering the moon, making it difficult to take a look at it comfortably. "Today’s weather is nice, but most probably it’ll rain soon enough."
She took a small pause before continuing. "It would be better to stop training for today; we will continue the rest tomorrow." She said firmly.

While both of them were training outside, Elina and Ethan’s wives were inside the house, spending time with each other.
Elina sat on the bed while Athena remained in front of her in her wheelchair. Athena’s beautiful wavy blue hair flowed freely down her back as Elina gently ran her fingers through it, tying it into a neat style.
"Your husband is a good man," Elina said with a warm smile. "He truly cares about his family, and now he’s training hard so he can earn a living with his newly awakened mana core. Men like him, who genuinely want to provide for their families, are becoming rare these days."
Athena knew very well that Ethan was working hard for his first dungeon. She had seen everything precisely through the window, which was in her sight. She had seen Ethan try again and again until he succeeded in controlling his mana.
His unusual efforts made her question herself. ’Why are you doing this for us? Why are you showing this kind of affection toward two crippled women?
Her mind was filled with negativity, and it was easily comprehended by Isolde, who sat just a meter away from her. Isolde was sitting in the middle of the bed, gently caressing her hair.
She sensed a slight tremor in Athena’s faint mana waves, causing one of her brows to rise in confusion. However, she chose not to question it. It was a family matter, and with Elina present, she knew the situation wasn’t the right time to speak about it openly.

Ethan had finally stood back up, his sword returned inside its sheath, which hung beside Ethan’s waist. His gaze was locked on Sara for a few seconds; finally, he decided to break the silence. "So shall we make our way inside now?" He questioned.
Sara didn’t say anything, or maybe because she thought replying with words would be too tiresome for her. Without replying in any way, she turned towards the main door and started walking.
Soon she entered through the door, leaving Ethan behind.
A sigh left him as he muttered to himself. "A giant with a cold heart. Technically it always is the opposite of that, but she? Completely parallel to clichés."
His gaze then shifted to his hands, now covered in calluses from days of relentless training. A faint smile crept onto his face as a thought crossed his mind.
’It’s my first time wielding a sword. My first time using mana. My first time cultivating the Aetherblade Ascension Art... Yet it doesn’t feel as difficult as I thought it would.’
Athena’s eyes were fixed on Ethan’s back; she noticed that Sara had already made her way inside, but he hadn’t. After seeing him stand there, a thought appeared inside her mind.
’What’s he doing there? Finally breaking down and accepting the fact that he is spending time doing all this, and instead he should mess around like he always did?’ Her thoughts were negative once again.
But Ethan wasn’t thinking of anything like that; his mind was filled with positivity. "I’ll go to the dungeon and get some money because these hundred gold coins aren’t enough to manage this household in this economy... I need money, a lot of it on top of that.’
He slowly clenched his fists tightly as another spree of thoughts appeared inside his brain. ’Now those two are my responsibilities, and I get strong through them... investing in them wouldn’t be too bad.’ A smirk tugged the corner of his lips.
Finally, he turned around and walked towards the main door, stepped through it, and made his way inside the bungalow.
Soon he entered their bedroom and noticed all four of the ladies were present there.
His gaze fell on Athena; her hair was tied properly, which enhanced her facial features severalfold. His cheeks flushed with immense hotness because of her. To prevent blushing, his gaze then shifted to Isolde.
With her hair neatly tied, leaving soft strands framing her face, she looked even more beautiful than before. He had somehow managed to keep himself from blushing after seeing Athena, but the moment his eyes met Isolde’s, he finally gave in. A faint flush spread across his cheeks, unable to hide his embarrassment any longer.
Elina noticed that Ethan’s cheeks were turning red; she immediately covered her mouth and said. "Oho!! Look at the man of the house getting completely turned on after seeing his beautiful wives."
Elina’s words left Athena visibly puzzled, but a deep blush quickly spread across her cheeks. She realized what Elina was trying to say, and because of that, she became completely flustered.
Beside her, Isolde had been sitting the entire time quietly. She shyly clenched her hands together, trying to keep her composure, but it was of no use. The edges of her ears gradually turned a shade of bright red.
Ethan sensed that the atmosphere had changed, so to divert the topic and save himself from embarrassment, he said. "Ahmm!!" He cleared his throat and continued. "I’ll go prepare dinner."
