Chapter 31: The Ultimate Jackpot: 200,000x Massive Retun
Finally alone, Asher moved towards the couch and sat down beside Juliana. The silence in the sprawling CEO office was a heavy contrast to the brutal violence that had just unfolded on the pavement outside.
"Are you alright, Julia?" He asked, his tone calm and warm, deliberately softening his voice so as not to startle her current, fragile persona.
Juliana turned to him. After some seconds, she looked away, her hands nervously fidgeting in her lap, clearly overwhelmed by the sudden elevation in their social status.
"How did you acquire this hotel?" She asked in a low voice.
’Um... How should I answer this?’ He thought for five seconds, rapidly searching for a plausible cover story to hide the existence of a reality-breaking System, and said with a smile:
"My mother’s family are wealthy, I met a distant relative, and he helped me with this Hotel." He lied, his tone calm and steady.
"Distant relative? From your mother’s side?"
Asher nodded, committing fully to the fabrication.
"Can you introduce me to this relative? He helped you, I should at least say my thanks."
"Um... Well, he is always traveling, once he arrives at Silverspire, I will introduce you two." He said, expertly dodging the request with a vague promise.
Asher hated lying to his wives. It was Sara first, and now, it’s Juliana. He clenched his teeth, feeling a bitter sting of guilt in his chest. They had been through enough betrayal in their lives. In the future, after everything is settled and secured, and he possesses enough strength to protect them from the truth, he will reveal the truth.
"Okay..."
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
The two turned towards the door, the sharp sound breaking the tense atmosphere.
"Come in." Asher called out, shifting his posture back to that of an untouchable executive.
Tang opened the door, and walked inside, stopping before the two, having fully resumed his flawless, professional demeanor as if he hadn’t just ordered the mass crippling of twenty guards.
"Boss, these are the files needed." He said, stretching the files towards him with a respectful bow.
"Thank you." Asher took the file, and placed it on the table, right in front of Juliana.
"Julia, all you have to do now is sign this contract, and the rights and ownership of Heaven Hotel belongs to you." He said with a smile, acting as if he were handing her a simple greeting card rather than an economic empire.
".........?!!"
Juliana was stunned. Heaven Hotel was a giant. The scene that happened outside proves it, showcasing its terrifying influence. Now he was just handing it to her?
"But... But I can’t run such a place..."
"No worries, just leave everything to Manager Tang here, he will take care of it." Asher cut her off, his smile still on his face, entirely unfazed by the monumental transfer of wealth.
Juliana stared at him for some seconds, feeling the immense, unspoken weight of his absolute trust, then turned to the Manager: "Umm... Alright."
She took the pen from Asher, and after some hesitation, her hand trembling slightly, she wrote down her signature on the paper.
Tang stood, staring at the two. Although he hid it behind years of corporate discipline, he was still shocked; which man will give away a company with trillions of annual income to a woman? What if she leaves him one day? What then?? It was absolute financial suicide.
Asher doesn’t care. The reason behind that: Juliana’s Affection was already 91%. That was crazily high, bordering on absolute, unconditional devotion; even if he managed to get them both together—merging her fractured personalities—he knows she won’t leave him. For the second reason, well, it was about to reveal itself in spectacular fashion.
{DING!}
{Congratulations Master for Investing In your wife Juliana!!}
{Investment: A trillion Heaven Hotel.}
{Congratulations, Master Triggered the 100,000x Return.}
{Due to High Affection from the targeted wife, Return has been doubled to 200,000x return.}
’What the fuck?!! Is that even possible?!!’
’Two hundred thousand?!! Am I that lucky?!’ Asher was speechless, the sheer, reality-breaking mathematics of the multiplier completely overloading his brain.
{Gained Nine Hundred Trillion Dollars.}
{Money transferred to Master’s bank account.}
{Gained Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe, which fetched 142.7 million dollars. Note: Car is already transported, it will arrive at the Villa in one week.}
’Villa??’
{Gained the number one Villa In Silverspire sky Hill, worth five hundred billion. Note: Master should claim it before one week.}
{Gained the Grand Hospital in Silverspire, all Assets have been transferred to Master.}
{Gained Heaven-Tier Pill: Soul Fleeting: Once taken, it temporarily removes all sickness, mental illness, body discomfort, and internal injuries. Returning the person to top state, last for 10 hours.}
Asher froze, staring at the virtual pill in his inventory in absolute shock. Wealth was one thing, but a miracle cure—even a temporary one—was priceless. His mind blank, he barely had time to process it, but the system wasn’t done showering him with boons.
{Congratulations! Gained a utility skill: Gun Mastery, Divine-Tier.}
{Congratulations!! Gained a Skill: Flash: Instantly teleport to any location 500 meters away from you. Heaven-Tier. [No Cooldown].}
{Gained a key to Devil Tower.}
Asher sat frozen, his mind blank, reeling from the sheer scale of his sudden ascension. All the rewards were simply too good, and just because he gave her the hotel. Asher thought Kelly was his treasure trove, but he forgot Juliana has two personalities which target both the awakened world and business world. In short, Juliana’s returns will always target those two factions simultaneously, compounding the value exponentially.
She wasn’t like Kelly who only knows about Business, or like Sara who focuses all her attention and mind in combat, Juliana balanced the two perfectly. Which made Asher wonder how skilled Juliana was when still stable, before the trauma fractured her brilliant mind.
’It seems that’s all... I need time to think and calm down, some of these rewards are just too good.’ He stared at the Pill, a deep frown on his face. A ten-hour window of pure sanity for Kelly, Juliana or Sara could change everything.
"I am done."
Juliana’s calm voice snapped him out from his shock. He blinked, pushing the staggering weight of his new empire to the back of his mind, and stood up:
"Alright then, Tang will handle the rest. Come with me, I want to show you our new home from now onwards." He said with a smile, stretching his hand at her, ready to leave the corporate battlefield behind.
"New Home?"
Juliana was speechless, staring at his outstretched hand, then at his face in shock:
’Did he also get us a house?’ She thought inwardly, her mind struggling to comprehend just how far her husband’s protection truly reached.
