44. Make a mirror prototype! First part

I helped the Dwarf girl, Clarissa, out of the chimps, and after telling her about me, I officially asked her to make a mirror out of silver.

Then she was surprised by my suggestion, and she agreed with me in an excited way. That's just the craftsmen, and they don't have eyes for new technology.

Then all I had to do was talk about a fine contract, and I sent the orphanage girls home first.

but something unexpected happened here.

Clarissa said she wanted to make a prototype soon. Apparently, they've inspired artisan souls.

Um, I don't know, because there's some material I need to prepare...

I say that in trouble. But Clarissa seems to have attracted more interest,

"What do we have to collect? I want you to say anything."

It's unusual for her to say that in a clear tone, she grabbed my cuffs cuddly.

Apparently, when your emotions are high, it's crude to unconsciously grab your opponent's sleeve or hem (sob) with those little hands.

"I don't need anything else difficult. With silver, ammonia water, honey, and then even glass plates, we can do mirrors."

I'll explain pale.

But in my words, Clarissa...

"Masatug wow... I can't believe you made a mirror out of that material."

And when he said that, he marvelled at his eyes, which he usually slept in.

"It's not that big a deal. I'm simply applying the knowledge I taught in the world I was in because I need it."

I smile bitterly and shake my head sideways. But the girl,

"That's not true. Knowledge is the same as crap just to have it. But if you can take advantage of it freely, it can also be a gem. But that requires talent in the name of great creativity. Masatug has the ability to do so. I knew it was amazing."

That's what he said, pointing a hot gaze at me.

Oh, boy, you're exaggerating.

"Well, it doesn't matter what my talent is. Come on, more than that, you're gonna do a mirror prototype, right?

When I say that, Clarissa roars a little dissatisfied, "Ugh, I'm really awesome..." but in the end, she talks about mirroring.

"I want you to tell me a lot. First, what is ammonia water? How do you make that stuff? What are the characteristics?"

A girl is eager to ask me to teach her.

To that question, I...

"Leaving the urine for a while would give off a strong odor, wouldn't it? That irritating smell is ammonia. Farmers keep it for compost, don't they?

Explain it as plainly as possible.

Clarissa looked terribly impressed with that explanation,

"... wow, I never thought that would be a mirror making ingredient. I learn so much."

That's what he said, and he snorted.

And I'm just gonna ask you the next question if you can't wait.

"I also heard you needed honey. Why do you need something like that? I never thought about using anything other than snacks."

That's what I'm saying. They're gonna take my sleeve off.

Apparently, my words have attracted her interest more than I imagined.

"That's a good question. Melt the silver, mix the ammonia water, add the sugar to it, and the silver will come up. In my world, I used to say silver mirror reactions, but in short, silver plating."

"So it's not honey to add, it's cheaper and easier to get sugar too?

To my words, soon Clarissa returned the question with enthusiasm.

Oh, not quite, my head spins fast.

But unfortunately, it won't.

"No, in the state of sugar, silver is not extracted. Actually, sugar is a state full of fine sugar, so no. Silver wouldn't come up unless the sugar was falling apart"

"Understood. So sugar fits in pieces in the honey of the flowers the bees collect?

Soon Clarissa will throw the next question.

"That's different, too. Bees collect flower nectar and then break down that sugar with their own saliva. As a result, sugar falling apart is collected and honeyed."

"I see. Wow. Masatug is Knowledge"

That said, the girl looked impressed and snorted again and again.

"No, no, I'm just applying what I've learned in class and in the library."

If you're in high school like this, it's natural for anyone to do it.

But when the girl shook her head to the side,

"Yeah, it's amazing to be able to apply knowledge naturally. That's all I am (Master)"

That is how he denied it.

Jesus Christ, it's not that big of a deal.

"Well, more than that, let's start working on a prototype. Is the material going to gather soon?

As I tried to move on, for some reason the girl who was looking at my face with a paw gave a hazy look and opened her mouth in a slight panic.

"It's okay. If that's the case, we'll be able to collect it soon."

"Right. As for the molten silver, I just had Lara prepare it for me. Can I get you some other ingredients?

"Leave it to me."

When the girl said so, it was time to start sourcing materials.

Even so, I just bought ammonia water from a farmer nearby, so it wasn't long.

As for honey and glass plates, they were originally in the store, so I didn't even have to source them.

"Well, shall we get started soon?

Put the material on the table and sit across the street. That's what I said.

Then Clarissa nodded,

"Yeah, please"

And he answered:

... but somehow, when she got up from her chair, she walked up to me.

And what I thought, when I climbed on my lap, I sat down with chocolate without hesitation.

"... because this way it's easy for you to tell me"

That's what she says to make excuses somewhere.

My ears peeking through my pink hair looked bright red because of my mind.

"Whoa, don't push it. Sure would be easy to teach, but you don't like sitting on my lap, do you?

I call out to the girl not to force me.

But Clarissa happens to shake her head sideways hard with a boom.

"There's no way I don't like it. I'd rather be here."

And he said it in a different and resolute tone.

Um, I knew it, but... Clarissa still sounds like a pretty studious guy.

You don't even want to snuggle up on me like this, you try to absorb knowledge with greed.

I was impressed and praised her for saying so.

But Clarissa turned this way, looking somewhere in a hurry,

"Chi, no. I hope you don't get me wrong. The only thing I do like this is Masatug"

I said so.

"Just me?

What does that mean?

I tilt my neck without understanding.

Seeing my reaction like that, Clarissa opens her mouth to try to explain it further.

But when I met him, he seemed to have no further words but a puckering mouth for some reason.

And from my gaze, which keeps staring, I turn around as if somehow to hide my face,

"Ya, I knew it, nothing! want you to tell me soon"

He said so quickly.

I thought you had no heart or red cheeks, but was it your fault?

Hmm, well, I don't know, but I'm not saying no to teaching her how to make mirrors anyway.

Let's just answer the request.

"Okay, let's start with..."

That's what I said, hold the girl's hand from behind.

It's the easiest way to actually move your hand.

But...

"Hiccup."

Such a pretty voice leaked out of the girl's mouth.

"What's up?... Oh, didn't you like being held?

I say sorry and try to get my hands off me.

However,

"Chi, no. I'm just a little surprised. Don't let go."

That said, the girl desperately tried to stop me from acting.

"? Really? Then we'll go on?

That's what I said, and I shook the girl's hand again.

Then again, Clarissa seemed freaked out, but she didn't react any more, especially, just...

"Master's hand, warm..."

And he said in a woot voice somewhere.

... um, I don't know, from earlier, I don't feel like I'm doing a prototype anymore, but why?

My back, which should have stretched nervously until earlier, is about to leave my weight with me and take...

Why is she so distracted by me when she says she's only been seeing me for a few hours? A mystery.

Well, I can't help but think about it.

I twisted my neck.

"Anyway, let's make silver liquid first. Mix the ammonia water slowly with the molten silver."

So he began working on the prototype, slightly forced to do so.
