It's all one flower.

0005. Commuting uphill

On the morning of February 1st, it was quiet as usual.

Awellana leaves the house and climbs a gentle slope that leads to Agate Hospital where she works.

The city of Zerneau is in the southeastern part of the island of Negna, near the border between the Republic of Nemoralis and the Kingdom of Lacrimalis.

In the past, it was busy as the largest fishing port in the country and many worked in aquaculture processing plants.

Thirty years after peace, the burnt out harbour and factory were rebuilt about half the time before. Many fishing vessels have been lost, but there is no compensation whatsoever. Many surviving fishermen gave up building ships.

The Awellana clan is still happy because they lost many of their bodies but only one ship was safe.

I didn't have any food problems and I could even get the kids to go to school.

Awellana utilized the art of the [Thinking Owl] school, taught during the Civil War, and after graduation worked in pharmacies everywhere. Not because Awellana couldn't keep working, but because the stores were burned in air raids and one place after another she lost her place of work.

Now he works in a private hospital that was rebuilt soon after peace.

Agate Hospital is located on a high ground in the district of Miech.

The exhaling breath is white, but the majority of people on the road dress the same as in spring.

The adults turn their thin coats into the wind blowing up from the lake, and the children rush to good health without a coat.

Mothers sending their children to school, cleaning in front of shops, old people walking dogs, people going down from the high ground to the port workplace......

Walk slowly with the people you meet face to face every day in a light conversation.

Awellana's home is near the fishing port in the district of Jelizo, next to the east of the district of Miechi, and it takes nearly four hours if you walk.

If you know the place well, you can use [Leap] to get there in just a moment.

Awellana walked the slopes for an hour every day to the children's park in order to build strength. From there on ahead jump with the [jump] technique.

In this city, buildings have anti-intrusion boundaries, except for thieves, but not on public roads. I have been unable to rebuild it since it was lost during the civil war.

For example, there is a terrorist concern that says [leaps] from outside the city, such as foreign countries, plants bombs on the exterior walls of buildings, flees with [leaps] and then blows up… etc.

The matter is also featured and shaken up annually in newspapers and magazines, before and after the anniversary of the Peace Agreement.

Still, the development of the talent lost in the civil war of half a century did not proceed, and no great deal of skill was applied to protect the city as a whole.

A new generation is born in a time of peace and lives in this state as a matter of course.

... Well, but if you're like this all the time ahead, you don't have to worry about that.

Awellana slowly climbs the hill in defiance of the anxiety that brought her neck in association with something.

Most people who go on the road are the people of the lake, and the greenery of their hair shines in the morning light, like a young leaf.

During the Civil War, some people dyed it black or brown to avoid being made into [a sorcerer's tear]. Now I can expose my natural hair to the sun and walk the streets with dignity.

... I never could have imagined I could walk this relaxed when I was a kid.

From time to time, even the face of a different land people exchanges meetings.

The wind blowing from the lake is cold, but residents who can use magic are lightly dressed. [Cold resistance] was applied to lightweight coats and the like by embroidery and dyeing. When the magician wears it, the technique is activated and protected from the cold.

What swells up in this city are the powerless people… the Fluxinus of the land people.

At the annual Daiki Festival and the Oak Festival, we cooperate in preparation and production. Even if the race is different, it is connected by the faith of the Great Tree Fraxinus of Qin Peel (Tonerico) and Panisea Uni Flora, the goddess of the lake.

... Even though it's a completely different haz, it's weird.

The elderly land people do not know which faction they were on in the civil war ahead.

I believe in the same gods.

That made it seem strange to Awellana that the person could also believe it.

On the other hand, the powerless people of the Kirkurs are given an autonomous community to the southeast of the city of Zerneau, where they live apart from the Fraxinus.

Kirkulus does not recognize the existence of other gods because it makes the teaching of the saint Kirkulus in the new age the only absolute one.

Also, the use of magic is not good, based on the teaching of "a new era without magic".

... For that matter, during the Civil War, I was using weapons that required magic.

Passing in front of the store, the radio news broke through.

"Yesterday afternoon, a car bomb exploded in the market of Jinkum, a city in the northern part of the Republic of Lanista. At least more than twenty people are seen dead and more than fifty injured.

The Kirkurusian fundamentalist organization The Star Mark (Servant) issued a statement of offense about the incident, and the Wizard has made a declaration to the effect that he will continue to kill people of all races, ages, and genders. The Church of Kirkulus has issued a critical statement against terrorism… "

The Republic of Lanista is the southern shore of Lake Lacus and the eastern neighbouring country of the Republic of Artel.

It crosses the lake and is also next to the south of the island of Negna. The southern half of the island of Negna is not bordered by the Nemoralis Republic, where Awellana lives, as it is part of the territory of the Kingdom of Lacrimalis.

... I can't believe I even killed my own people because I believe in a different god.

Awellana could not understand what those who bothered to smash the peace in the corner thought and went into such action.

In earlier civil wars, the Republic of Lanista supplied arms to Kirkurs in the Artel region to support independence. Without special harm, my country made substantial profits from arms trafficking and, as the prospect suggests, established a Kirkuri state next door.

... not enough anymore. Why, do you want to bleed on purpose?

The foothold gets heavy on the dark news.

Every time I touch the news of terrorism and murder, I remember the Civil War era.

... Back then, I didn't even have enough herbs or anything, and I couldn't make drugs knowing how to do it.

Burned out wearing clothes, he fled and lived in a rubble gap to avoid being found by enemy soldiers.

Even if you know how to make medicines, you can't make them if the ingredients burn. Back then, I had to drop off some of the lives I was supposed to be able to help.

Sometimes even at work, I get attacked by helplessness back then by some sort of fold.

... Never again, even though I don't like that. That's not what everyone thinks. You're not wacky.

From the hospital exit to the dispensing room.

Today was supposed to be the same day as always.
