It's all one flower.
295. Lurking Senator
Senator Laqueus was surprised at the new possibilities within him at the same time.
Senator Krapiefnik's supporter, Mr Snegg, took him to visit another supporter's house. Had I already contacted you, or when you were put through to the room, you were surrounded by the ladies waiting for you and quickly screwed up.
Dr. Lacueus, it's over.
That's what one of the women says, gives her a hand mirror.
What was shown there was the face of the old lady, not the old senator over ninety.
The wrinkles are lightened by makeup, the skin is glossy and the colour of the blood looks good. Lips surrounded by wrinkles are luminous and radiant. The wig has gray hair, but loose curly hair covers the head and cheeks fluffy and looks gorgeous.
Seeing it this way, it looked much younger than its actual age, although it resembled my sister Kufshenka.
... non... is it?
I haven't seen anyone else doubting my own eyes.
Clothes are old-fashioned pieces scattered with white flowers in a young grassy land. The swelling of the puff sleeve deludes the masculine disappointing shoulder width. Dark blue tights hid the snake hair.
The women who disguised the old senator nod contentedly and praise each other for their good fight.
"Guys, you're a boulder. If you keep your mouth shut, no one will ever think of this woman as Dr. Lacueus."
Sneg, the piano player, praised their skill with a half-hearted voice. The women take the words with a giggle that dulls them.
"Dr. Laqueus, I'll be by your side all the time on concert day. Say anything in a small voice."
A woman walked out of her late twenties and early thirties.
On the chest, a silver pendant swayed with an elephant. He is the same [singing] scholastic operator as singer Niptra Neumae.
That's the woman who came to the senator's quarters that day to listen to the song.
"The concert is once a week, on weekends. Otherwise, please stay with us."
Sneg told me, and Senator Laqueus nodded in the same comfort he was still dreaming about.
"Doctor, I'm afraid it's sudden, but the show starts in about two hours."
The woman who offered her support says she's sorry. Laqueus was not greatly surprised by it and heard.
"What should I do? Anything I can do to help..."
"Once, can you join us for a matching exercise, and just one song in real life, please?
"Is that okay? Suddenly..."
"Of course (of course). Because this is the song you taught your teacher."
I was given the program and hung my presbyopia. Half of it is a song Raqueus doesn't know.
"National Health Gymnastics... Another song I miss a lot..."
Unexpectedly whining leaks. Sneg said as he pulled over the score.
"I put in a wide range of songs, from the old kingdom to modern ones, so that I can remember the times when it was peaceful."
"So what do you mean by this... 'psalm medley'...?
I don't know, it becomes tannic. Tensions ran to members of the Lyabina Civil Orchestra.
Sneg, the piano player, smiles troubled and explains in a serene voice.
"It was orchestrated during the old kingdom. It contains not only the iconic songs of each of the Fraxinus denominations, but also the Kirkulus psalms."
"Huh?
"Do you feel blasphemy?
"... no... but why?
When Laqueus managed to squeeze out his voice, Snegg said with a far-sighted eye.
"In the days of the old kingdom, they had a festival called the Holiday of the Gods"
"Holidays of the gods?
It's my first ear. Even in music history class, I haven't learned. Sneg continues the explanation.
"He said it was a celebration of all the gods who are believed in the realm"
"That's what..."
Can you do it, I say, and swallow the words. I guess I could. During the time of the Lacus Lacrimalis kingdom, monotheistic Kirkuls would also have participated in the fold.
Raqueus himself, born in the later days of the Raquez Lacrimaris Republic, used to play with Fraxinus children as children.
Raqueus' sister Kufshenka's best friend and his sister were powerful people, Fraxinus.
The Frisian theme, the same age as my sister's, married Kirkurs and moved to the Ristover Autonomous Region after half a century of civil unrest.
After Laqueus entered boarding school after being found talented by the harp, he has not heard at all about where and how Kalindulla, a remote part of the year, was.
My sister and brother almost lost contact with their family so that the Frisian theme was not known to be a Fraxinus witch.
As a musician, as a politician, if we continued to interact with Lacueus, with a broad face, there might have been someone in that network who knew the Frisian theme.
While Congressman Laqueus was away, his sister Kufshenka seemed to have invited the Frisian theme home several times. Even after her death, she employed her granddaughter as a needle, but Raqueus pretended not to see it.
... would that girl have escaped the fire?
"Um... Doctor, if you can't, this concert has..."
Face up to Snegg's caring voice. The orchestra members also looked anxiously at Lacueus, who was silent in his thoughts.
"No, never mind. I remember when I was a kid. Non was born in the subsequent republican period, but he also played amicably with the Fraxinus son, and the school, regardless of faith, lined his desk together. And..."
"And?"
"Shortly after graduation, he played various songs as part of the Lacus Lacrimalis Symphony Orchestra. Arrangements of curses, and hymns on Fraxinus festivals."
The eyes of the orchestra members open to surprise.
Congressman Laqueus shared memories of his orchestral days.
"The members of the Fraxinus also played a hymn in praise of our saints on the festival of Kirkrus. Until the idea of self-determination spread."
As I spoke, my memory revived vividly and my voice trembled.
The captain respected the faith and feelings of the newcomer, who was only sixteen years old Lacueus...... then called Halpator.
If you don't like it, you don't have to. That wasn't a threatening complaint telling me to quit the orchestra if I didn't want to, it was a word of compassion directed at all the members.
Supported by that feeling, Lacueus folded into his own faith, and the array of songs of the curse, "Find This Great Sky," as well as other songs, were played with honesty.
"We can get rid of all the walls and unite people's hearts. We think that's the power of music. It's a slight force, but if you could use this old power, I'd be fortunate to know."
The words widen my smile and cause applause.
Laqueus returned to his feelings during boarding school and responded with a deep bow.
