It's all one flower.

404. Road to Rip the Forest

In the Tuman Forest, which stretches south of the Kublum Mountains on the island of Negna, diverse organisms live through summer platters.

A flashy colored potato worm eats the leaves of a blue and lush tree. If a bird pecks a round fat potato worm. Sliding through the trees, the chicks open their mouths and wait on their returning nest. The snake crawls up before the parent bird returns, swallowing one and passing down the branches. Swallow the chick whole and the fox runs through the swollen snake. A long mouth stretched from the servant captured the fox and chewed the head off the snake.

A mouth like the one that had overthrown the ox rejointed and chewed the fox's torso, wet and sluggish in blood. The fur of the warcraft assimilated into a servant, which could not be discerned by normal vision.

"There's a beast in the left and right mouth. Close to the road, but what do we do?

The demon soldier Rubel stood by the road through the woods and heard [the enemy] 's gaze without deviating from the Warcraft. His partner Mulak listens back with his eyes gazed across the trampled trees.

"Where are you from?

"of the woods... pretty much in the back"

"Our job is not to exterminate the Warcraft. If there's any damage to the residents, the Lacrimaris army will do something about it."

Mulak said, paying attention to the surroundings visible to the naked eye.

"If we get attacked, we can fight back."

"Right. So far, we haven't found a“ goal ”. The road is still going."

"Yeah. Well, look hard so there's no overlooks. I'll protect your back."

"Okay. Thanks."

The demon soldier Rubel flew further into the woods his expanded perception with the art of [Sovereign].

From the side of the paved road where they stand, towards the back of the Tuman forest, the dirt road stretches. As the forest landscape was cut with scissors, there is no grass or tree there. Less than a single lane half-width, the stripping soil continues straight.

On the cross section of branches and servants hanging on the road, there were burning marks, but they were not burned at all. If you used the art of fire, the ground would burn, and the ashes and charcoal that burned the trees would remain, but nothing.

It is unnatural not to place any [exorcisms], even if they pass the way for hunters, etc. For that, there was not a single mischievous demon.

... Something, too little information to judge.

Rubel and others, part of the Sentinel of the Nemoralis Army, were ordered to search for the missing Demon asthma cannon.

Demon asthma cannons have been missing since the ship sank off the coast of western Nenia a few months ago.

A defensive ship carrying a demonic asthma cannon came under a missile attack by Artel forces near the border between the Republic of Nemoralis and the Kingdom of Lacrimalis. Initially, he looked for the lake bottom near the site and urban areas on the Nemoralis territory side in the north.

Cities in the western part of Nenia suffered a unilateral air raid by the Artel Army, which left their brothers and fatalities abandoned. There are many powerless people who are late to flee, and have been left with untargeted inhabitants of their places of refuge, but are unable to exterminate miscellaneous demons on their own, and the rubble gap is filled with miscellaneous demons.

Only time had passed without getting one clue.

In addition to Rubel, several other sentries who knew the appearance of the demonic asthma cannon were ordered to search and searched the Nemoralis territory of the island of Nenia without a neighborhood, but I do not see that mass of darkness in the Kublum Mountains or in the forest of Resalub.

... It was near the border, and I should have looked for the south side sooner.

To do a detailed search in a sheltered area, it is better to be close to the exploration point. Because it's easy to focus on [Sovereign], but when it does, you have to break into Lacrimalis territory. There are no borders, but there was no reason for Rubel and other expeditions to be discovered by the Lacrimalis.

Again, make the eye of surgery crawl on an unnatural path.

I don't know when I was able to do it, but I don't have any leaves to fall off or a weed. The stripped soil was tearing apart the depressed and lush Tuman forest. There are no footprints. The footprints of beasts and warcraft were crossing paths or coming and going.

... if you find it, just mark it and go back... then you catch it and say you have a math to re-nostalgic it, right?

In interceptions by demon soldiers, there really is a shooting leak.

Artel's fighters, who have broken through the air defense network, relentlessly burn down innocent people. The Nemoralis army was forced to use demonic asthma cannons because of the war that Artel had unilaterally waged.

Assuming that, no matter how much criticism was exposed from other countries for the identity of the demon asthma cannon, there had to be a demon asthma cannon to protect the people and the land of Nemoralis from Artel's air raids.

... It had to be a war, it wouldn't have been like this. It's like waking up a sleeping child on purpose. What do you want?

The road ended abruptly.

An intact ancient tree has grown its leaves blue and shed a deep shadow. Beyond it lies a young tree, which has just sprouted this year, stretched slightly from the ground from which the fallen leaves descended, and beside it lay fallen trees eroded by mushrooms of toxic colour.

The road width has always been the same, and here we were plummeting off.

"... the road is over"

"Anything?

"No... there are decaying trees, but there are no miscellaneous demons here either"

Rubel answers his partner who protects his back and carefully circles [the enemy] 's gaze around the area where the road is cut off. There are countless worms and animals in this world, rare demons that have just strayed from the other world, butterflies of different worlds that have bred in this world... there are countless things that are not subject to the prey of demonic asthma cannons, but there was no only the appearance of miscellaneous demons.

Move your gaze slowly, northwest of that path.

A short climb up the southern slope of the Kublum Mountains, we leaned under the servant and saw a clustered demon.

... the mountains didn't pass?

It took too long to trace the footprints of the Devil's Asthma Cannon in detail. Which is the starting point of this “road”, behind paved roads or forests?

Behind the woods, there's no such thing as that dark mass.

"Hey, which way do you think it came from?

"What?

"Where I threw up my magic"

Mulak, his partner, turned silently around to inquire about Rubel, the demonic soldier, with his eyes gazed behind Tuman's forest. Around the paved road where the rubbers stand, the trees are broken, the giant hooves are worn through the ground, and there are traces of the warcraft being razed, but there is no sign of the demon asthma cannon.

"... have you heard anything else about the release of the magic of the Goal?

"No, nothing. I was just ordered to protect you while you were fighting."

"Right."

The magic released by the demonic asthma cannon on the orders of the operator had spread far beyond to swallow and detonate Artel fighters. I guess they have enough heat to get fighter fuel and bombs set on fire.

The trees and servitudes of an unnatural path that leads from before you leave only a few burning marks like burned down. Did it burn without leaving any ash, or did it work out with properties other than heat?

... hit the road for throwing up from behind the woods...

"Ahhh...!

"What's wrong? Did they find you?

Rubel solved [the enemy] and turned back to Mulak.

"I found a clue, but I got a knot I wanted to check. Let's go back to HQ."

They simultaneously [jumped] and jumped to command headquarters on Nemoralis Island.
