It's all one flower.

440. Economic Attacks

From the Ambassador of the Republic of Nemoralis to Amitostigma, there was no extraordinary work done against the leader of the Assacol party and Senator Laquéus.

The two had been made public to the Nemoralis government as "missing persons involved in a congressman's quarters raid," but there was absolutely no tone out after they showed up.

"You must be having trouble deciding what to do with us."

"I was called to the embassy, and they may have spotted me walking out of here."

When Senator Laqueus mocked himself, Senator Asacor also grinned at his mouth.

In the summer capital of Amitostigma, I rent it intermittently to a supporter's house.

The local councillors had been given their address and telephone number and had already made numerous calls. If that bothers you, the ambassador should be able to contact the two MPs, but for some reason he's keeping his mouth shut.

They were looking at a tablet terminal in a white-walled room with sore eyes.

It's a graph of the wheat market fluctuations in the Artel Republic. I've been rambling up and down for a while now.

"The stock market is also rough, mainly wheat and food-related. The Artel government's share of the lead shareholder, a semistate-owned company, has lost a lot of money, and there have been interest rate cuts and capital splits, mainly on government bonds issued to raise war money."

"How's the exchange?

"Of course, it's rattling."

Asakor party leader strokes tablet device and switches graph to forex market volatility. The wizard MP has been completely familiar with the handling of this handy information device since he came to Amitostigma.

With significant currency cheap, export industries such as mechanical parts are seemingly doing well, but are squeezing their necks in the procurement of materials. Import prices of foodstuffs have skyrocketed as a result of the lake blockade in the Kingdom of Lacrimalis. Common people's lives are on the other hand painful.

Artel Central Bank repeated its aggressive intervention in the exchange rate, but desperate resistance was also void, with the world's largest rating company significantly undervaluing Artel Treasury bonds and attaching CCC- (triple sea negative).

The shortest time to redeem a government bond is two years. If we do not achieve any results in this war with more than a year and a half remaining, or row to an end and rebuild the economy, we will be in default (default).

If the economy collapses, it will no longer be a place of war unless the Barbatum Federation and others support it.

"Or would you disrupt the Treasury bonds to pay interest..."

"Is there someone to buy it?

When Rep. Laqueus spoke of the on-the-spot treatment that the Artel government would adopt, Asacol party leaders from both axes grinned sarcastically.

A comrade from the Asakor party leader set up a massive market intervention.

Instead of the Republic of Nemoralis, they used accounts opened via the Internet to the Federation of Barbatum and elsewhere and traded internationally. Another comrade with an address on the ground lends his name, and the actual operation is carried out by comrades scattered throughout Amitostigma, the Kingdom of Lacrimalis and even the island of Lanterna, in Artel territory.

In just a few months, food commodities surged and demonstrations and riots demanding price cuts are frequent in Artel territory, mainly among the poor.

The Artel government laid down press regulations and the demonstrations and riots jumped to no other place, but the videos shot by the demonstrators themselves spread online and the controls did not keep up.

If an economy is as barter centric as the Republic of Nemoralis, if there is a physical presence in the country, the people will not be in so much trouble.

However, in the countries of scientific civilization, including Artel, the market is affected not only by the actual balance between supply and demand, but also by trafficking for speculative purposes, which is reflected in real prices.

Artel's Exchange expects "God's Invisible Hand" to work, and does not envisage a massive deal that alienates profits. The market had been ravaged by foreign investors who made bullshit speculation without the technique of making it happen.

In a major international deal in the middle of August, market turbulence increased in intensity. The intervention of the Artel Central Bank and government press regulations could no longer be deluded, and the Hunan Economic Newspaper, headquartered in Amitostigma, reported an accurate business situation.

"Well, in the meantime, you'll make laws that regulate, but it'll take time to establish them."

Asakor party leader chuckles as he watches the video of the demo.

On the screen of the tablet terminal, a group of people hoisted their placards and shouted filled the boulevard.

"Stop trading unfairly!

"Get the wheat at at the right price!

"Don't sell out!

"Bread for the kids!

Demonstrators clash with the cops. You came with that intention from the beginning, and a flame bottle flew out of the crowd.

A shop along the street is broken through a show window with a placard and looted by an avalanche crowd. Street parking cars burn and demonstrators cough up tear gas canisters thrown by the cops.

With the anger and screams of the people, the city, which was peaceful, presents the face of the battlefield.

The shooter ran out and the screen wobbled heavily.

"It's not just a battle to get out there in person with a weapon."

"... is that the guy you call an economic war?

There is a harsh light in the eyes of the nodded Asakor party leader. Councilman Laqueus gazed into his eyes with the thought of his spine freezing.

... the internet and all that is really horrible.

"Our city was burned by the drones of the Artel army, and a large and irrational number of innocent (mule) people took their lives. The majority of surviving victims are also refugees and living in distress."

Inside a small screen of a tablet terminal, a police corps was firing at the general public in the Artel Republic.

"Starvation, sickness and death, suicide due to riots, looting, poverty… the Artelians must also be given the pain they deserve"

The words of the leader of the Asakor party are not just a hatchet. It was causing real confusion and death within Artel.

Where and how did you raise military funds to launch an economic attack?

Senator Laqueus, vaguely thought of it, stopped putting it in his mouth and checking. Even during half a century of civil unrest, it has been done sporadically.

The leader of the Asakor party manipulated the terminal and the screen turned into another video. It's like an outdoor theater. A large number of young people are packed.

"Next, I'll hang a shake on Artel's young man's heart"

"A young man's heart? Are these the people in this video?

"They're just a handful of the target audience. Living normally in Artel… more young people."

There were six girls on the stage wearing short clothes. One step forward and state his or her mouth.

"Guys! Thanks for coming to our last concert today!

"They are singers who garner tremendous support from Artel's youth"

"These girls...?

Did you just say mid to late teens? What fascinates them about the girls who don't even go old? Councilman Laqueus didn't know.

"One of our members was attacked by a demon the other day. Comrades made contact, pulling four out of seven successfully."

"Oh my..."

"They're due here tomorrow."

A small screen of the tablet terminal showed a disturbance involving the passenger seat.

Asakor party leaders turn to each other physically and say in a changed tone.

"Dr. Laqueus, would you give them song lessons?

"As Halpatora?

"We're not going to let them touch any communications equipment. You won't mind if I stay like this."

"Oh, I see."

By what means have you rounded up the Artelian girls? Councilman Laqueus, who was over ninety years old, could not have imagined. Age is what keeps my grandfather and great-grandson apart, but if faith is the same, I feel like I'm going to get used to it relatively quickly.

"... what song should I teach you?

Senator Laqueus agreed with pleasure.
