509. Surveillance Soldier Report

[Leaping] from his home village of Assaite to a base outside the capital, Cravel, Rubel ran into the stuffing in his personal clothes and hung up his ext.

"Getting geared up is fine later. Into the middle of a secret debate now."

Copy that, sir.

Rubel hurried as he was to the back of the base, in accordance with the directives of the Navy to which he currently belonged. Presenting his ID on a vigilant outpost at a key location, he silently gave way.

Corporal, who makes his turn at the door in front of two sheets between secret discussions, salutes and says the [key] euphemism. As Rubel gave back and knocked over the door, it was immediately closed.

Between the two doors is a hallway of about five metres, with corporals present even before the secret debate. The door was opened from the inside when he announced his name and identity and intent to come.

"Get in."

Rubel goes inside in honor of the Army Colonel who opened it for me.

There was no one to labor the rubel who cut off a short vacation and rushed for the time being, and there was a painful sense of silence and fatigue between the discussions.

Look around at the facial touch gathered as Rubel prepares his breath. Same general as always, Army and Navy staff and Colonel, plus there was the singer Asheug of the curse.

Under the sight of the General, the Army Staff opens their mouths.

"Earlier, a soldier who was monitoring [the enemy] contacted me."

No heart, or the voice of a long-lived race in the war sounded trembling.

"A unit of the Lacrimaris Army is on the move after exterminating the enlarged Dark Blue Serpent and encounters it… it has become a battle"

Demon Costume Soldier Rubel shifted his gaze from Army Staff, who spoke with a frightened look, to other army executives. He stares down at Army staff with a bitter face who uniformly wants to block his ears.

... If you're a Demon Costume soldier in the Lacrimaris Army, it looks like you can beat a magical creature, too, huh? Like losing because I was tired of fighting an oversized dark blue serpent?

Normally, if a magical organism is discovered from a site or the like, it is destroyed after an investigation or disposed of somewhere deep underground or in the Lake West region beyond the reach of a person by tightening the seal.

Destruction of magical creatures is commonly carried out using techniques such as the same [rapidly descending eagle (eagle)] school as against demons and warcraft.

"That one that was attacked absorbed the magic of the surgery and swelled. The troops of the Lacrimaris Army, who detected the anomaly, left the scene with a [leap]. That... is still wandering through the Tuman Forest"

"Expansion......?

"Surveillance reports say it looked completely intact,"

An Army staff member gives an answer to an unexpectedly nil question by the demon soldier Rubel with a sinister face.

The general exhaled loudly, replacing the explanation.

"According to the research materials, at the time of development seven hundred years ago... that size shortly after completion was about the size of a rat"

"Rat......? But..."

The general blocks Rubel, a soldier, from speaking and continues.

"The researchers who noticed the failure of the experiment tried to dispose of it, but they learned about the magic of the surgery, and they swelled even further."

Demon-mounted soldier Rubel knows that a demon asthma cannon is a dark mass about the size of a two-ton truck.

... That was a rat size?

"Of course (of course), there's nothing you can do with a physical attack. As the body grew, so did the amount of magic consumed and the amount of miscellaneous demons that could be eliminated, and the range of places that could be purified, but also the amount of magic accumulated without being consumed."

"I mean, the damage when you spit it out is greater..."

"That's right. Now growing up in a big trailer."

Demon soldier Rubel lost his word. Even the size of a two-ton truck buried a formation of Artel army fighters and a giant warcraft that filled every block in one blow. In its current size, I can't imagine how destructive it would be.

Besides, now the Lord (or the Lord), who made the Demon's covenant, has been lost and let go of the wild. There is already a “path” in the Tuman Forest that looks like a demonic asthma cannon emission mark. Fortunately, although it seemed good because it spit out from the side of the road in the direction of the Kublum Mountains, if it did so in the opposite direction, damage could have been done to the countryside and fishing villages on the south side.

"There are control codes that force people to stop their activities, regardless of the demon's contract, but until the Lacrimalis Army wipes out all the fishy trees and leaves the Tuman Forest, it will take a detour."

... so I don't know what kind of damage it would do if I didn't do anything.

"Our army is also on alert for a treacherous wind tree invasion in the northern Kublum Mountains. Apart from that, I ordered that surveillance on ten sentries who knew what the demonic asthma cannon looked like. If anything goes wrong, we should report it in this room."

... So I'm on guard, too.

The General gives the order as if he had seen through Rubel's chest.

"The Lacrimaris army should be following that move. But it's hard to get the eye of a bee horn eagle (bee bear) at night. The [colour of the ghost] I applied the other day still works for a few days. I want to apply it again within the moment and at least not lose sight of it"

Even at night [the colour of the ghost] can be seen glowing in rainbow colour.

Behind the woods it was still dark at noon, and many demons and warcraft as well as miscellaneous demons were inhabited. Moreover, now, an unknown number of fishy wind trees (seiju) roam with poison, and the Lacrimaris army shines eyes on surveillance and search.

"At night, it's hard to imagine we can afford to sing the curse all the way to the end. Just mark it so you don't lose sight. Mullark and I, we can do this, right?

I know perfectly well that I don't want to lose my precious singer, Asheug. [Singing] The school's curse takes time and becomes indefensible while singing. Asheug himself is also good at sword moves, he says, but if he gets hit unintentionally while singing, there's not a single one.

If you increase your escorts and go to the woods in large numbers, you will be at increased risk of being found by the Lacrimaris army.

I've infiltrated many times and have more land prospects than any other soldier, and [Sovereign] can use it to protect myself. Indeed, there will be no other soldiers besides Rubel and Mulak who could infiltrate the Tuman Forest at night in small numbers.

... Besides, I know that song.

An extremely dangerous task, but only a soldier, the demon soldier Rubel had not been given the option of saying "no" over his ex.
