It's all one flower.

648. How to read the map

Upon returning to the parking lot, Medvege immediately noticed and opened the carrier.

The [lights] that the funeral parlor just dotted have not gone out. Four crates lined up and Captain Solgnac spread out the map he had just bought.

The smell of the bookstore flutters and tickles my nose. Morph got a little happy holding a paper bag with a picture book in his chest.

"I bought a road map of the city of Racica and the entire island of Nemoralis, the northern part of the island of Nenia"

"Thank you. This is the guy from Rachka, right? Where are we now?

Unparalleled by the Listwar Autonomous Region, the city is neat, but the map showed the thick and thin roads intertwined and seemed quite messy.

There was something about the road and the neighborhood that looked like a place name, but there were few letters that Morph could read.

Captain Solniak, speaking of the street and the name of the town, the old man and the funeral parlor leaned forward and crawled their fingers on the map.

"From the eastern end of the harbor, I came this way... oh, there it is. This way."

"Um, the town was here... there was. This is the parking lot."

The city of Rachka leads northwest to southeast along the shore of the lake.

It was a slightly more easterly painting than the center of the elongated city.

... How do you know where you are with all that information?

I don't even know how Captain Solniak found out the name of the town and boulevard on his first land.

"Strange? Morph would have seen the sign on the map, too. It says the name of the town and the street on it. Medvege remembered the terrain of the road he came through and matched it with a map."

West of the city of Racica - on the left is painted in a single colour of water, representing Lake Lacus.

In the lower left corner there was a list of symbols, and the captain explained one by one and taught Morph how to read the map.

Medvege and Agoni are talking about something by spreading another map next to it, but Morph is not the other way around.

Once or twice, I can't possibly remember just asking, but somehow I figured out the general flow.

"Morph, anywhere, look for the library"

Will be tested to see if I understand.

Boy soldier Morph checked the "library" with a list of symbols he had just been taught and gazed into the city.

"Right here."

Point to the mark you found.

"All right. Now follow the shortest route from here."

"Erm...?

A thick road runs north and south in front of the library. I followed it and walked into the thick road I had just walked and pointed to the parking lot.

"Mm-hmm. That's the hardest way to get lost. That's not bad either, but traveling diagonally through narrow paths to your destination would be less distant."

"Really? What is it?

I look up from the map in surprise. Captain Solgnac let the narrow road, sandwiched by thick roads, twist and roll from the library mark to the parking lot.

"Compare the length of your fingers to the length of your path."

Push your index finger along the road by pressing your palm against the map, as you were told. As the captain said, the path Morph followed was one and a half index fingers, but the captain's path was only one.

"Actually, I can't put a truck in such a narrow road. If you choose such an intrusive detour to get to your first city on foot, it will take you a while to get lost and reject. Use it ad hoc, depending on the circumstances."

"Heh..."

There were no road-like roads in Barack Street in the Autonomous Region.

If during the night a dweller is eaten and killed by demons and an empty house leaves, it will be demolished or the other dwellers will make it their own. Every day, when it was built somewhere, Barack disappeared, the roads he could pass yesterday were gone, the houses he had were gone and the roads were gone, and it was not the kind of place where a map could be made.

The only decent path was the boulevard with trucks coming and going between the factory zone to the east and the shopping district, and a few driveways from there to the direction of the estate district.

The estate district and the more western rural areas had a decent path, but Morph rarely went that way. About when I went to sell my sister Tsukusa. If he's suspected of being a thief, he'll be shot dead by a vigilante on the spot.

"Captain, we've been talking about resting on the old streets up in the mountains since tonight. What are we gonna do?

When I saw this story was over, Medvege spoke up.

Captain Solgnac folds up the map of the city of Racica and the two place road maps of the entire island of Nemoralis.

"This is Rachika. So, in the woods of the woodland hem of the Ougari Mountains, there's still an old road, just like the Kublum Mountains, protected by the power of the terrain."

Over there, and Medvege's fingers stroked the north and south sides of the mountain range that separated Nemoralis Island to the north and south.

Juvenile soldier Morph recalled crossing the forest in a straight line, east of the island of Nenia, from the medical and industrial city of Kulbunika to the northern city of Zakart at the western end.

The path of the mountain hem, which was cut off with the first glance in the truck, is called Lesalube Ancient Road, taking the name of the forest.

"There's only one lane, but I used to go by carriage. Everywhere, there's a square where horses rest, and it's protected by the junction. Well, Hanashi if it were still the way it was then..."

"Hey, what's a carriage... how old are you?

Medvege takes a serious look at funeral home Agoni's face.

The people of the lake laughed niggardly.

"He's just a little older than a curse doctor. He's been alive for nearly five hundred years. Believe it or not, I'll handle it."

"Five hundred years...... huh?

The three voices overlapped. It's a long time ago.

Boy soldier Morph can't even calculate how many times he is.

"I'm, well, this is the business. I also had an affair there with the Royal Army. I haven't asked for military work since the republican system, but I was young in the days of the Royal Army a long time ago. I was doing a lot of things."

"So you've known that curse doctor since then?

The funeral parlor of the people of the lake shook his head at Captain Solniak's inquiry.

"No. I met that curse doctor directly after the civil unrest ended and I settled down in Zerneau City."

"Direct?"

"Military doctors are precious. I hear rumors about the knights."

"Hmm."

Juvenile soldier Morph nodded with a half-hearted feeling like he had figured it out and wasn't.

Morph himself, not all of the Star Way Prostitutes have become acquainted wackos, but if it's just the face of a great man, I know a few, and I've heard rumors that there seems to be an amazing sniper in a different unit from ourselves.

"Why, I wanted to gather information here..."

In his mouth, can you say, etc. Agoni, a funeral home of the long-lived race, looked around at three of the star's way prodigal army.

... what the fuck? I don't want to put my body on if I have to.

Cage the light frustration and stare at the funeral parlor old man.

Agoni didn't even care about Morph's gaze, coughing up one and asking questions.
