It's all one flower.

763. Before we go out

Sunday morning. The Roarks got up earlier than usual and headed to the chapel.

In the city church, it seems that it is decided to start at nine in the morning, but here, at Rufus seminary, time shifts and worship by age.

The Roarks High School freshmen are at 6: 30 a.m. Apparently worship duty has to go faster than that, but Roark hasn't turned duty yet, so he didn't hear anything specific.

The chapel of the Rufus seminary was a large building where five hundred people could sit at a time.

In the morning light, the stained glass shines rainbow. Beneath it, an elaborate statue overlooked a theological student. The main points of the columns and walls are engraved with fine characters like letters.

When Roark gazed at the statue of the saint, the clothes and belts were engraved with the same familiar texts as the walls.

... I'm sure this is also a [exorcism] or some kind of spell.

All of the higher ecclesiastical classes and the higher ecclesiastical third graders of the star road class and general class, plus faculty, are congregations at this hour. Sleepy. Listen to the obnoxious sermons of the new American priest.

"Recently, faith in the saints achieved one victory. Our air force on the path of the Holy Star has defeated the evil Nemoralis."

I get applause from a theological student in the congregation seat.

The young priest declared forcefully waiting for the applause to stop.

"The Nemoralis Army put it into action by“ inflicting killing power on magical creatures. "As you know, this is strictly forbidden not only in the Bible, but also in international treaties"

Theological students nodded silently, and the sound of clothes rubbing spread through the quiet chapel.

"Never forgive this outrage with the use of the wicked wizard's" evil (ah) shiki (purposeful) business. Let's pray and sing to guide the triumph of the power of knowledge. "

On the call of a new American priest, the theological students rise. Roark also stood up on his fluttering feet. The priest is followed by a voice echoing the sacrament in an empty voice.

... the other day, when? When are we talking about an air raid?

Roark sang a psalm in the sky above and pulled it to his room.

Time to go out is after breakfast to before dinner. Until breakfast, it's still nearly an hour away.

This morning, Skinum visited Roark's room and explained his precautions again when he was out.

"Holiday outings are always in private clothing and are strictly forbidden in uniform. Don't forget your student ID and device."

... Oh well. Check the terminal and you'll know when the air strike is.

I care, but now I change my mind and concentrate on my upcoming outing.

"I know your student ID, but how is the terminal?

'Cause it's got GPS on it.

"Ji-pi, eh?

Listen back to the parrot for the first time.

Skinum thought a little with a troubled face and glanced at his desk. When Roark turned the tablet device off from the charger, Skinum said he didn't seem confident.

"All geodetic systems… I don't even know how they work, but they use artificial satellites to accurately locate terminals."

"of the terminal... current location?

"Well, it's convenient to search for strays, and it's also convenient to follow automobiles and planes, guide directions, keep them off the right route, and so on."

"Heh... the power of the machine will lead you to the right path... Ji-pi... the person who invented Nantka must be a very serious man of faith"

When Roark uttered what seemed like an honorable sentiment, Skinum sparkled his eyes just to get my will.

"That's right. It was developed by a university in Banksia and a company in Barbatum. Because Banksia has a cathedral, it brings together wisdom from all over the world, and Barbatum is a state-of-the-art scientific civilization. I think GPS is positively a gift of faith."

"That's amazing. If you have this, just in case you and Skinum get off the hook, the priests will find you soon, won't they?

When Roark heard, the impatient skinum returned to me to continue explaining.

"Yes, it's an invasion of privacy, so it's not for anyone to look into, it's just the rights holders and guardians who have contracted the device, and the telecom operators. Location data will also be disclosed to the police only when investigating kidnappings and other incidents."

"Wow... I don't know, you're going to be an ogre"

... When you go to Lanterna Island, you have to leave your terminal.

I haven't decided when I'll decide, but I'll carve it in my heart.

Skinum smiled at Roark, wrinkled between his eyebrows, pointing to the terminal.

"It's okay. If you open the map app, you'll see your current location on the map, so if you register the location of Rufus Seminary first, you'll see your way home, and you can reach me by email or something, even if you're out of line with me."

"Really? I'm relieved. But I don't really know how to use the map..."

Skinum said no and took Roark's terminal.

"First of all, this mark is in its current location…"

Open the map app and slowly change the display to make it easier for Roark to understand. Shoulder to shoulder and peek at the map, Skinum's hands trembled slightly and the screen swayed into small pieces.

"Let's sit down."

When Roark urged the bed, Skinum was upset for some reason and hesitated, but lowered his back next to him with a determined face.

... you don't have to hesitate to sit in line.

He took an hour to teach me how to use the map app, and then he also taught me how to use the bus road map app, search stores, and Skinum's email address.

"There are a number of useful communication apps, but first, you can use your email."

"Right. Just for what you just told me, it's full, so next time, please."

The two of us go to the dining room and make it breakfast a little later than everyone else.

For the first week or so, I also exchanged skinums to dine with other classmates, but at some point I lost one and two, and now nobody invites me. In the meantime, Skinum didn't speak a word, he was just eating in silence.

It didn't look like he kept the other theological students away and it was strange to Roark as to why this happened, but I finally figured it out in one of the toilet cases.

Classmates who eat in nearby seats just say hello and don't talk any more. Roark also ended up just exchanging a word or two that was not obvious on the subject of weather.

... Oh, my God.

Roark agrees that Skinum is an "uninteresting honor student". Spending time with him is lackluster in a way, but then the information you get here is limited.

I didn't dare to take it today, I decided to take a good look at the city, and I decided to reconsider carefully about gathering information on campus later.

Roark, for the first time since coming to Rufus seminary, put his sleeves through personal clothes other than room clothes.

Senator Padsnyejnik gave me a goodbye. It looks plain and qualitative, but the fabric is superior and tailored. I don't like the fact that Roark is better quality than any of the clothes I wore at home, but I had no choice but to.

... Yes, let's go to the clothes store.

When you have decided where to go, think about what to look out for and see.

In the underground town of Chernoknyjnik on the island of Lanterna, most of the clothes were spelled for powerful people, and clothes without spells were taxed high.

What about on the mainland of Artel?

With or without spells, price, materials, locally made or imported? What country does it belong to if it is imported?

... Can't you sneak [exorcise] in like a priest's clothes or something? Later I guess it's about the relationship between industry and foreign countries on the mainland of Artel.

That's about all I can think of that information I might find out from my clothes. If I told Lazolnik or Fiarlka later, they might have seen the information from a different angle and found out more.

"Oh, excuse me. Thank you for waiting."

"No, I just came down now too..."

Skinum had hand-knitted mufflers wrapped around his coat, which at first glance he could tell was a superior fabric.

Take him out the front door of the quarters to the gate.

... I knew you were a boy.

There was a long line of theological students at the school gate. Greeting the guard, he leaves the gate with his student ID out in front of the machine.

"I'm letting the card reader read the information on my student ID. Once you put the code here in the red light of the reader and the class, grade and name appear on the screen, the reading is complete. It will record who, when, and what went in and out."

"Heh... that's kind of awesome"

... Do you manage people's access with machines?

Roark showed the guard a picture of his student ID, feeling like he had also become a product to be shipped from the factory. As I was taught, I put some unsure pattern behind me on the red light. Roark's information appeared on a screen about the notebook, under which the letters and times of "outing" appeared in red in seconds.

"Well, take care of yourself"

"Yes, I'm coming."

Sent out respectfully by the guards, the two left the main entrance of the Luphus seminary.
