It's all one flower.
1254. Patrol Ship of the Defender
The western part of the Republic of Artel flanks the Kingdom of Scootum across the Gulf of Straja.
The Sioux Communications Satellite Antenna Base is located on the edge of the southwestern edge of Artel territory. In the plains, the climate seems to be stable and the point of low radio interference is the reason for the installation.
"Receive radio waves from communications satellites in space in antennas here and connect to each city with lake bottom cable"
"Cables don't go through land, do they?
"There are a lot of demons and warcraft on land. I'm guessing the major telecom operators decided it would be safer to lay it on the bottom of a lake protected by a goddess."
Klaustra took the map out of a large envelope and placed it at the spellhouse counter.
How many lines exit the Sioux Communications Satellite Antenna Base northwards along the waters of Straja Bay along the land of Artel territory.
Perhaps this also indicates the owner. Like the maps we've seen before, color-coded lines circle around the Langoust Peninsula to the landing points in each city to the east.
At close range, but not a single line stretches out to the Kingdom of Scootum.
"Normally, communications satellite antenna bases are multiplexed by multiple installations in remote locations, but there are many warcraft in other suitable locations in the artel, and it seems that only one location could be prepared"
"It's an important facility with only one place, and you're not guarding the military or anything?
"Artel soldiers are not the only ones who can be protected by wizards and demons. I chose Sooks not only because of the topographical conditions, but also because the Gulf Patrol ships of the Kingdom of Scootum will sail just around the corner"
"Gulf Patrol Ship...? The Knights of the Kingdom of Scootum protect Artel's equipment?
At least, it's a first for Roark.
... That's right, you don't know anything but the magical civilized country.
The others are enough for the haulier Fiarlka to trade with your merchant.
Today's Klaustra looks like a company employee, and the usual blue rose hair decoration rides the dark hair tied slightly above the section (nod).
He didn't even give a single disgusting face to Roark's basic question, and he answered it properly.
"It is a Magic Machine Ship unit operated by the Scootum Kingdom Navy. Always act in groups of three, twenty-one in all seven teams."
Some units are off, and six units take turns patrolling the Gulf of Straja every day.
The main task is the security of local fishing vessels and occasional merchant and passenger vessels that come and go with other countries.
"At the time of laying the bottom of the lake cable, the company holding the work vessel requested an escort through the Ministry of Industry of the Kingdom of Galeandra"
"Will you take it?"
It's a construction that has nothing to do with the Kingdom of Scootum in the land of magical civilization.
"Regardless, the corporate side would have made some kind of payment, but I also have a relationship with Galeandra. Most importantly, it would be difficult for workers to be eaten and demons to be warcrafted."
"Oh, well."
The story somehow connected.
"You might still rely on the company that built the antenna base to protect you at the end of the patrol, right?
"It's possible. The Artel government won't allow the Republican Guard to be stationed because it's not fair to treat a company's equipment in a special way."
"But there are demons on land, right?
"Special forces will be dispatched as soon as there is a Warcraft raid. The communications equipment company seems to have signed a security agreement with the warcraft exterminator on Lanterna Island, but if they reside the wizard at large, they will be attacked by the star sign (servant)"
Klaustra's lips are ironically distorted.
"What... so a resident is a private security company... is it just a security guard of a powerless people?
"Don't be saying that. Warcraft exterminators seem to patrol mainly at night... but the numbers are small because they sneak eyes"
This is the result of giving precedence to faith over the defense of critical equipment.
Roark wanted to hold his head with his enemies as to where to go from.
Klaustra, give me another map and arrange it on the counter.
"The means are unknown, but the mark is where the cable at the bottom of the lake is cut."
"You're just east of the Langoust Peninsula."
I can't remember where there were more, but there are more marks than last time.
There are two places north of the capital, Rufus, three along the North Vieetfi Bridge, off Aquillo Base, off Album City, near Ignikans City and the South Vieetfi Bridge, and one near the border with the Republic of Lanista.
It seemed like a thorough slap at the "side connected to a foreign communications satellite antenna base" on the lake bottom cable, but there is no certainty.
"If the cable maintenance vessel cuts the lake bottom cable in Straja Bay in anticipation of when it started repairing the east, the construction period will increase significantly"
"Uh... and this, instead of repairing it"
"It will be temporarily replaced by a telecom operator and ultimately borne by the line user"
"Does the connection fee increase?"
Roark's terminal usage fee is given out by the haulier Fiarlka, but his voice fell to the counter with regret.
Even now, we don't even know how much we pay each month.
"If you know who did this..."
"He will ask the person for the actual cost of repair, compensation for damages caused by interruption of communication, etc., but even if a judgment is issued acknowledging the full amount, he will not necessarily be able to pay"
"Uh..."
Guerrillas working for Nemoralis Grief Squads and individuals have many mourned everything but their lives in Artel Army air raids. On the contrary, there were guerrillas who, even if they lost their lives, such as Medsource, left their souls and grievances in [the sorcerer's tears] and kept fighting.
Assuming it was their fault, swinging upside down wouldn't even cause nosebleeds.
It can be said that the underlying cause is because the Artel Republic suddenly started a war on the Nemoralis Republic, but it would not turn the bill to the Artel government.
"If the cost of communications rises, the economic impact will be huge. Chained together, it also interferes with national life."
Klaustra is totally other HR (one at a time). It even looks interesting.
She has several bases in Artel territory, but Roark doesn't know where she comes from or where her nationality is.
"Then there are rumors that I saw a black demon in the fog"
"Black demon?
Reflectively, I remembered the call for sightings section of the official Star Marker website.
"It seems that multiple comrades gather information across the Artel, but only spread rumors in the northern shore region of the mainland. At the heart of the story is that on the evening when the lake bottom cable was disconnected, we saw it heading in the direction of the lake."
"The scope of the rumor, do you know that clearly?
"If the net is available, it spreads and squeezes out, but even the telephone line can be used. Now it stays within the reach of the powerless people"
"You're not all bad, are you?"
"If you do your best in a placed situation, there are many things that don't look right."
Roark engraved Klaustra's words on his chest with that smile.
