It's all one flower.
1279. With the Fool's Light
The old lady Silva refuses to say a word and stands to wash her hands.
It is possible that he went to call his companions, but even if he were an old man, he would follow a woman to the toilet.
Leno and the others waited in the private room of the café until they could not hear their old feet slowly descend the stairs.
"Mr. Ziolito, do you know what a fool's light is?
"The gray one? Are you saying I'm stupid?
The voice that solved Leno's question as an insult includes anger.
"Oh, you're not from Nenia Island."
Brightly, pretending that Cruillo didn't notice, the boy bit his lip on the silence again.
The blonde wizard goes on like nothing.
"It's an old saying on the island. One day in the winter a long time ago, a traveler crossed the island with the intention of making a shortcut."
"Do you know what kind of island Nenia is? Like the terrain."
When Leno heard, Ziolito shook his neck sideways weakly.
Cruillo adds an explanation.
"To the south of the Kublum Mountains are the Tuman forests and a few plains, to the north are the Lesalub forests and wetlands, where people can live only in the narrow plains of the coast."
"Are you still not pioneered?
"I can't pioneer it."
Leno answered the ordinary question in a ho.
"Why? With more farmland, that's all you'll get, isn't it?
"There are lots of lamps for fools."
My brunette's head tilted small to Leno's answer.
"Full of... are you there?
"It's a demon. That's what they call it."
Deep green eyes increased sharpness when I said, "Say so from the beginning," but Leno went on fine.
"I live in the wetlands. So, travelers who arrived late in the city and walked in the darkened wetlands..."
The winter evening gets darker and darker, and cluttered demons start drifting around.
The cold is fine with magic clothes, but it's dangerous if you don't get to where people live soon.
When I noticed, I saw a small light with a potpound and a dot on it.
I think the traveler is a hunter's cabin, the same traveler as myself, or a local hunter, and hurries down the roadless path in the wetlands just because he was helped. Miscellaneous demons are in the way, I can't see underfoot.
The fog also appeared while doing so. As the darkness increases, the Miscellaneous Demon thickens, making it unclear whether it is a fog or a Miscellaneous Demon. The only landmarks are the distant, unreliable lights.
I finally got to the side of the light, but the cold light (kanto) was not the hunter's cabin, but what people had.
The shadow doesn't move. I rang out to see if the traveler wouldn't notice me in the fog, but I haven't heard back. Closer, the stepped foot slipped into the ground.
"Why would you do that?
"It's a swamp. Common in wetlands."
As the traveler rushed to pull his legs out, he slipped further into place and quickly sank to his knees.
I gave up on this trip and [jumped] to get back to where I knew him well, but for some reason the technique doesn't activate.
"Ziolito, you're a powerless people, aren't you?
The boy nodded as Leno listened.
The wizard Cruillo listens on top of each other.
"So you know what kind of technique [leap] is?
I shook my head to the side for that.
Briefly describe the effect of the procedure and the conditions of use, as well as the [leap] exclusion junction and the permitting point in the city. Ziolito, a "putative and theological student", listened to the magical explanation without blocking it.
... Mr. Silva, that's too late.
Leno continues his old story with this fortunate.
"Travelers can't [jump] and try to move in a hurry, but they sink more and more into the mud"
"Why can't people with lights help me?
The traveler, of course (of course), asked the shadow with the light in the fog for help.
You finally realize, the light approaches a traveler caught in the mud.
In the fog, it was a long mouth stretched out of the swamp that floated with lights. An elephant's nosy mouth flanked the wooden stick, wrapping the marsh mud around it and making it look like a shadow.
The lights are the demons manipulated the phosphorescence of the swamp, sinking the entire body into the swamp, putting out only the mouth and waiting for the prey.
The traveler tried to escape by chanting [leaping] many times, but on the back of this demon "Fool's Light," he can't use move-related techniques such as [jumping] and [flying] like the junction.
"Travelers who can't get around regret that they should have taken a boat even far away."
"Why did the traveler pass on the details and regrets to future generations when they were eaten?
"That's pretty sharp, you. If you calm down, you can collect swamp water in [fucked water] and separate mud and escape. Because the only thing the demons seal is the art of the mobile system."
Cruillo praises theological students for smiling bitterly.
"If you can use battle magic, you can take out the demons."
Ziolito shut up with a difficult face.
Cruillo continues in mild condition.
"So, another traveler who manipulated the water and ran out of criticism told everyone that he had encountered such a scary eye that he was convinced that the missing person must have been eaten by the lamp of a fool"
Ziolito clouded his face.
"The only thing that helps is the wizard."
"That's right. Even wizards can eat when they don't know how to fight, or when they're in a hurry to make a decent decision."
Cruillo mocked himself and sipped the town flower tea.
Leno stares at Cruillo's dark green eyes.
"Besides, we powerless people don't think about moving inland on foot in the first place, do we?
Continue as you lean your nerves into the footsteps of the stairs.
"There's another lesson to this story, as I heard," If you hurry around, "did you notice?
Ziolito tried to think a little and say something, but closed his mouth when he noticed the footsteps going up the stairs. Leno also drinks tea with a face that doesn't eat anything.
"Boys, could you talk to each other casually?
"We were just talking about a demon on the island of Nenia."
"The central part of the island is a wetland, and they say travelers were eaten."
Ziolito anxiously adds to Cruillo's explanation.
The old lady, Silva, smiled, and said to her frightened grandson with a voice that made her laugh.
"There are goddess blessings on the shore, so rarely do such demons come out."
"Oh, yeah. The guy at the store just said something about a communication failure at the Artel, is Lanterna Island okay?
Ask pretending like Leno remembered.
The old lady, Silva, smiled a little troubled and shook her head (wearing it) slightly.
"You don't have a phone in that villa. You don't know what's going on."
... you said you weren't going to answer.
Leno and the others said goodbye by taking one of the slips, divided into two parts, as they spoke lightly to the public and shed light on the subject.
