Vivian Lowell returned to the company in the afternoon.

The moment she walked in, Leo, who was buried in a pile of paperwork, came over and couldn’t help but mutter, "Vivian, you really had it easy this time!"

"You were out of the office for a few days, came back yesterday just to clock in, and then didn’t show up this morning! Is that family matter of yours resolved?"

"It’s resolved."

Vivian Lowell nodded, pulled a silk scarf she had bought for Leo at a duty-free shop from her pocket, and said, "Here! I picked this out especially for you. It’s a unisex style."

"And a lipstick set! Everyone, come over here! I brought back gifts for all of you from the duty-free shop! There’s a whole set of lipsticks, so each of you can pick one!"

"Later, I’ll also run a giveaway in the group chat. First prize is a full perfume set!"

The moment Vivian Lowell finished speaking, the office erupted with excitement, and everyone crowded around to pick out their gifts.

Finn was also thrilled and playfully egged Vivian Lowell on, suggesting that since everyone was so happy, she should treat them all to milk tea!

Vivian Lowell, of course, nodded and agreed. She shared a "Group Order" Mini Program in the company group chat and told them to let her know once they’d placed their orders.

Vivian Lowell also ordered a "Lychee Coconut Cooler" for herself. It was a new item from her favorite milk tea shop. It was June, and lychee season was gradually beginning.

Lychees in the summer, plus a cold iced drink in an air-conditioned room—it just doesn’t get more comfortable than that!

A little over half an hour later, the giveaway in the group chat ended. A young female intern, a designer who had just recently joined the company, won the entire Tom Ford perfume set!

She was overjoyed, her eyes turning red as she clutched the entire perfume set. She said she would definitely work hard from now on, wear the perfume beautifully, and then left.

Vivian Lowell was quite happy too. Before long, the cold drinks arrived. Looking at the two coconut coolers in her hands, Vivian Lowell decided to send Vance Wyatt a message.

"Is Julian Faulkner in the office? Is he busy?"

Vance Wyatt replied quickly: "The boss is in a meeting. Hmm... he is quite busy. But I imagine President Faulkner would never say the word ’busy’ in front of you, Madam."

Vivian Lowell couldn’t help but smile when she saw Vance Wyatt’s message.

’It’s true,’ she thought. ’When it comes to me, Julian Faulkner is always very patient and makes an effort to find time for the things I want to do.’

That being said, Vivian Lowell wasn’t one to make willful demands. After a moment of thought, she replied with a message: "I’m coming up for a bit. I ordered a drink for myself and got one for him too."

"Oh, right, there might be extras. Vance, do you want one? I’ll ask Finn what’s left."

"Madam, I’ll take anything! Thank you!" Vance Wyatt seemed very happy.

Vivian Lowell went to find Finn and asked if there were any drinks left over. "It’s for Vance Wyatt," she said. "I ordered one for Julian Faulkner but forgot about him."

"Um..."

Finn hesitated, her ears turning a faint shade of red.

Seeing Finn’s reaction, Vivian Lowell asked hesitantly, "Are there none left? It’s my fault for not thinking of it. If there aren’t any, it’s fine. I’m sure he won’t mind."

Just as Vivian Lowell was about to leave, Finn stopped her. She took out a Green Grape with Pulp and handed it to Vivian, saying, "There is one."

"Vance Wyatt likes this one. Boss, since you’re going up anyway, could you take it to him for me? I have a lot of work on my hands and can’t find the time to go up there myself."

Vivian Lowell paused for a moment, blinking. She instantly understood the reason for the blush that had flashed across Finn’s cheeks.

’So, what I overlooked, Finn had already thought of!’

’It seems Finn and Vance Wyatt get along quite well, then.’

"Alright then, I’ll take it up for you. But I’m going to tell Vance Wyatt that you ordered this for him specifically. If that rascal has any sense, he’ll definitely have to think about how to ’repay’ you!"

Vivian Lowell said this teasingly. Seeing how Finn was acting, she knew the girl would be too shy to go find Vance Wyatt herself, so she took the drinks and went upstairs.

Vivian Lowell arrived in front of the president’s office.

Vance Wyatt had also been in the meeting, but the moment he received Vivian Lowell’s message, he immediately came to the office door to wait for her.

"Madam, President Faulkner is still in the meeting."

Vance Wyatt spoke politely and opened the door for Vivian Lowell.

Julian Faulkner’s office, like Vivian Lowell’s, had a large floor-to-ceiling window with a view of the streets of Aethelburg outside.

However, Julian Faulkner’s was more spacious and on a higher floor, so the view was comparatively better.

Gazing at the view from the floor-to-ceiling window, Vivian Lowell couldn’t help but feel much more relaxed. She turned to see Vance Wyatt still waiting behind her and handed him the Green Grape with Pulp she was holding.

"This is for you."

As Vivian Lowell handed it over, Vance Wyatt immediately reached out to take it. He was a little surprised and said, "Thank you, Madam. What a coincidence, I happen to really like Green Grape with Pulp."

Seeing Vance Wyatt’s reaction, Vivian Lowell smiled and said, "What do you mean, lucky? Finn specifically ordered this Green Grape with Pulp for you."

"When I just asked her if there were any extra drinks that hadn’t been claimed, she gave this one to me."

Vivian Lowell beamed.

Vance Wyatt froze for a second when he heard that. He then looked embarrassed, and just like Finn a moment ago, the tips of his ears turned a little red.

Finding Vance Wyatt’s reaction amusing, Vivian Lowell was about to say something when she saw Julian Faulkner walk in through the office door.

"What are you doing?"

Julian Faulkner had apparently sensed the unusual atmosphere in the room and thought Vance Wyatt was acting strangely, which was why he couldn’t help but ask.

Vance Wyatt jumped in surprise. Holding the fruit tea, he almost forgot his duties as he turned around. He suddenly remembered and quickly asked, "President Faulkner, weren’t you in a meeting? How come you’re back already?"

"It’s over."

Julian Faulkner’s tone was flat. He glanced at Vance Wyatt, and after his gaze swept over the drink in Vance’s hands, his expression grew even colder.

’So it wasn’t just for me.’

As Julian Faulkner thought this, his tone soured even more. "If there’s nothing else, you can leave."

"Yes..." Vance Wyatt agreed, a bit dejected. But after a glance at the Green Grape with Pulp in his hand, his mood brightened again.

’Oh, well.’

’President Faulkner’s bad mood has nothing to do with me. I have a drink from Finn—today is the best day ever!’

With that thought, Vance Wyatt happily left.

...

Julian Faulkner, on the other hand, glanced back at Vance Wyatt’s cheerful steps and fell silent.
