King of Hollywood

Chapter 3: Step 1

While someone has set what is called a "great” goal for themselves, it is not easy to do so. Men who have attracted women since ancient times have either owned money or power or both.

Imagine if Adrian had control of Hollywood and wanted to make a big star out of whomever he wanted, how could those stars who had made him feel like not hugging. Just because his current millions are absolutely not enough, the act of circling money is imperative.

If ordinary people were to be saddened about how to circle money, it would be relatively simple for a reborn like him. Thanks to a novel he read online in his previous life, he actually wrote down a lot of ways to circle money. Like asking Claude to help fire the yen before.

Just knowing is not easy to do. In his previous life, he was just a small director. He had enough insights in the movies to know nothing about finance. Although those ways of making money could find a lot of relevant information online, it was simply impossible to apply it in practice.

So if he wants to take this opportunity to circle the money, then he needs someone who can help him financially.

Every dude has a bunch of friends around him, but there's no shortage of friendly friends, like Claude, who was persuaded by Adrian? Ron Reese. The two families were quite close, especially since their father was not only the same Harvard graduate, but also a very tacit partner in the fraternity, and the godfather of the other child. After Adrian's parents died, the Rowns helped Adrians a lot.

If you want to describe Adrian and Claude in Chinese, friends with small hair or crotch pants are the most appropriate adjectives. In short, since they were young, most of them had made a mistake together and bullied others into banging women together. Even if Claude's father called him back to the office to help, he would still take the time to get together with Adrian from time to time. And Adrian's parents were with him for a long time after his death, trying to get him out of trouble.

Although Adrian is no longer the old dude, he inherited all of Adrian's feelings and memories, and he still has a natural kind of affection for Claude. And according to previous memories, this guy's business talent wasn't generally great, so Adrian first thought of him.

Just to convince Claude that he spent too much time talking, it's good to know that a memory-based killer is still useful - $6 million isn't much, but there's very little opportunity for him to demonstrate what he's capable of, and Adrian said, even if he screws up, there's nothing to lose. Together with each other and his friends from childhood to big, it's finally the first step.

But then again, if Claude simply agrees that the inexplicable plan is almost flawed, then I'm afraid Adrian will have to think about it carefully.

“Now that the first step has been taken, the second step should also be taken quickly.” Adrian back at the villa quickly got busy after finishing the most critical opening.

Between February 1990 and May 1990, he spent an entire three months in the villa, barely going out except to the Screenwriters' Guild and the library, which surprised Mrs. Galen, who was in charge of the room, for a long time.

For the first time in his life, he hated the age when computers were still loaded with DOS programs, mobile phones were huge and clumsy, laptops could only be described in terms of simplicity, no Internet, no portals, no convenient and fast search engines.

This forced Adrian to prepare a large number of books and dictionaries, and took at least another week to learn and familiarize himself with the use of typewriters before he started copying scripts.

The second step is naturally to go into Hollywood and build his influence with a movie, although he doesn't have half a relationship with the movie world, but how could Adrian, who has already set a goal, not have a plan? It's definitely easiest to start with a writer.

If there is still some uncertainty in initially setting his goals, when he begins to carefully recall the scripts he read and analyzed before he was reborn, he discovers amazingly - as long as it takes long enough, he is basically able to turn over the scripts he has read completely and with great clarity.

This may have something to do with his post-rebirth memory fusion reorganization. Who knows? But this gift of God undoubtedly keeps his chips running. So over the past three months, he's been breathing through at least six complete screenplays, and he's got ten script outlines, so...

Bertrand? Irwin watched the next four weeks carefully after parking the car, making sure that it was here and then he whispered and walked towards the target villa. After a few minutes when the door was knocked open, a plain looking middle-aged woman appeared in front of him and gauged with confusion: "Who are you looking for? ”

“Excuse me, Adrian? Does Mr. Corwell live here? I'm Bertrand, editor at Universal Film? Irwin, we have a date.” Bertrand asked politely and couldn't help but keep mumbling. Living in a villa like this, writing screenplays for a movie company, and now the rich are bored to that extent?

“Come in, Mr. Adrian has been waiting for you for a long time.” The woman gave way to a sudden and enlightened look.

Bertrand nodded and walked inside, and there was some confusion in her mind. The “you” she seemed to use the plural “you”. What's going on?

He soon understood, because he knew three of the four men sitting in the villa's living room, Warner, Fox and three of Disney's cinema colleagues.

What, this Mr. Cowell wants to sell for a bargain? It was Bertrand's first thought, but he threw it out. Although the other person looks young, it doesn't look like someone who needs money.

That's why he came, Billy from Disney Editorial? Eddie's assistant has raised his hand and greeted him with a smile: "Hey, I'm waiting for you, Bertrand, come here. ”

He also exchanged his eyes with the other two, and the three shrugged their shoulders like each other, leaving Bertrand with a fog. Just waiting for me? What's that supposed to mean?

“Can you explain, Mr. Corwell?” After introducing yourself to the young man, Bertrand sat on the couch and asked, “I think you should ask us to come today at the same time? ”

“Oh, of course," the young man laughed, "so I wrote a few screenplays all of a sudden, wondering if I could make some money, so I sent them to your company, and then you came and talked to me. ”

“How many... how many scripts?!” Bertrand was a bit dazed and his subconscious turned to look at the three colleagues, who again shrugged in unison with a "you know” look on their shoulders.

Bertrand suddenly feels a little out of his mind. Apparently, Adrian? What Mr. Corwell meant was that he sent different movie scripts to several big companies at the same time, and several big companies immediately contacted him to buy the script!

Just kidding, even top Hollywood writers can't satisfy several big companies at the same time, unless they've written it long ago. But from the attitude of the first Billy and a few of them, it should have been written recently. This is... incredible.

Bertrand has seen the script, and this is called "Ten Things I Hate About You," which is a very easy comedy story on campus, although some of the methods used to push the plot are more old-fashioned but quite interesting as a whole. In the United States, the most important thing to worry about is that besides romantic romantic romance drama is youth campus drama, as long as the script is excellent and you pick a director with no water in his head and a few beautiful young actors, the movie box office is generally not bad and sometimes even makes a lot of money.

That's why the editorial manager had asked him to come over and take the script as far as possible.

“This is astonishing, Mr. Corwell." Bertranton turned back to God and followed Billy and Warner's Sekura? Jefferson and Fox, Barney? Jaclyn, "To be honest, you're a brilliant story about youth on campus. ”

The three of them shook their heads in a slightly invisible order, and Bertrand was shocked again, and none of the four scripts were the same kind of stories? That's... that's a little exaggerated.

But then he restrained his emotions and gave them a look, and Billy nodded. Since Mr. Cowell had chosen to negotiate with several companies at the same time, they would have had to join forces to exert some pressure on prices, which was normal, not to mention the fact that the other party was new.

Although the other party gave different scripts to different companies, and it didn't look like it was short of money, I'm afraid it wouldn't be much lower, but it would be a point to score.

“Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Irwin," Adrian said with a smile on the couch, "we're still getting down to business. ”

“Of course," Bertrand took the lead after a quick exchange of eyes, "although your script was excellent, after all, you were new and not a professional writer, so I could only offer up to $35,000. ”

Billy next door had to smoke the corner, but then he said to Warner's Secra and Fox Barney, "Yes, Mr. Cowell, it's a fair price. ”

“Really?” Adrian frowned slightly, “It seemed a little too low. ”

But he immediately smiled again: "That's all right, that's all. ”

Four people, especially Bertrand, had to stop to minimize prices from the outset in order to facilitate the next bargain. I had no idea what he was going to do when he said yes.

Adrian then uncovered the mystery, and he put two folders on the coffee table: "Yes, if it's convenient, why don't you take a look at these two scripts for me? ”
