Chapter 201: Very Good

“Good” Adrian clapped his hands, "Very good, gentlemen, you did a great job, but we have to do it again. ”

He walked up to Renault, lying on the ground, and looked down for a few seconds and waved at the play: “I think it's possible to get more tomato juice - not on the face, but on the back and on the ground. ”

“Great,” Renault seemed relieved, "I thought you were going to fill my face with plasma. ”

“It seems better to be a policeman with a lot of nerve in his hands.” Oldman with the prop gun looked left and right with his hands in the air, "at least not full of tomato juice. ”

There was a laugh all around.

“Well, keep your nerves up, Gary.” Adrian patted him on the shoulder with a smile, and when he got back to his position, he was going to start shouting, and an assistant hurried over: "Mr. Adrian, Miss Natalie and her mother are here. ”

“Great. Where is it?” Adrian's eyes lit up and suddenly looked up in the crowd.

“Hi, Adrian.” Natalie and her mother Shelly quickly walked over and waved to him.

“You're early.” Adrian laughed and held onto Natalie and Shelley, and frankly, it felt good to hold the girl's soft little hand.

“Just a few minutes.” Shelly said on behalf of her daughter.

“I have a few more shots to shoot, just in time for the stylist and makeup artist to do the styling for you," Adrian looks at Natalie, "Are you ready, Natalie? ”

The girl squeezed her long hair and nodded firmly quickly, though she could not help it: "Ready. ”

“So that's it.” Adrian said to ask his assistant to take Natalie to the RV with her makeup room, and then go back to the camera and clap her hands: “Okay, everybody, let's go on. ”

It took about 10 minutes to film this shot of Renault temporarily shoving a grenade ring into Oldman's hand twice before the crew took a break and the two actors cleaned up their lower body. More than a decade later, the stylist brought Natalie back to Adrian.

She is no longer the girl with long hair, nor is she wearing a brown coat, light trousers and canvas shoes, replacing them with short, straight hair with bubble heads from the '30s, striped vests and bohemian cashmere coats, and shorts and brown leather shoes to the roots of her thighs, with two shiny legs bare. If it wasn't for the movie, her face would be a little dirty and there would be some scars on it, the outfit would attract a lot of people.

“To tell you the good news, gentlemen, the girl you fought for has arrived.” Adrian laughed and introduced Natalie to Renault and Oldman.

“Hey, Ed, that doesn't sound good to you.” Renault said with amusement.

“It's okay, Adrian was just kidding." Natalie defended him on her own, and then she reached out and didn't mean anything to be shy. “Hi, I'm Natalie? Hercules. ”

“I'm Jean? Renault, you can call me Jean.” Renault looked at the girl with curiosity.

“Gary? Oldman, just call me Gary.” Oldman waved freely.

“Thank you, I love your movie,” the little girl said with a smile, "although I've only recently seen Bihai Blue Sky, it's really touching; unfortunately," The Assassination of Kennedy "and" Four Hundred Years of Amazement "are both R-rated movies, and Dad doesn't allow them, except I hear Count Dracula, who plays Gary, is cool. ”

“Not bad, used to this darker character.” Oldman shrugged.

“Well, Natalie, it's time to start nurturing your emotions.” Adrian, who has been staying next to him, said at this point that he found that Oldman seemed reluctant to talk more about the film Four Hundred Years of Amazement, which had flashed in Oldman's eyes when he jokingly called him Count Dracula, and that he seemed to encounter a lot of disturbances when he was filming the film, such as Verona's dislike of him - which Dennis had confirmed.

“I'll start right away.” Natalie busily replied, laughing at Renault and Oldman, then she sat aside and looked at the script seriously, and Adrian began to arrange for someone to prepare for the little girl's first shot.

Natalie's play was simple, the shot where Matilda escaped through the exhaust pipeline and took the underground exit to the street. The whole process was simple and without a single line, but it tested the actor's acting and how confident he was of the character. It was very difficult, for example, to initially look at the tension and apprehension outside at the underground exit, or to try to remain calm as she walked out, or to be scared when the police photographed her and asked her to leave quickly.

“Ready?” Adrian, who had everything arranged, stood behind Natalie with the camera and nodded at her after the little girl had taken a big breath.

“Good." Adrian said, looking down at the camera and making a gesture at the scene.

The banging sounded, delayed by five or six seconds, and Natalie with her back to the lens and a big bag of luggage immediately began to run away. The banging footsteps rang at the underground exit, while Adrian with the camera followed, with several assistants behind her.

It took Natalie a few seconds to stop at the exit steps before Adrian turned off the camera and looked up: "Not so good, let's do it again. ”

Everyone returned to their places, and the little girl started running again, but unfortunately it still had to come back. In fact, it's really enough to compare two times, after all, it's just a handheld camera shooting from the back, very ordinary, neither acting nor shooting requires much skill. Even so, Adrian did not finish until he repeatedly shot six times.

It's not that he wants to be deliberately difficult, but the point is that the group is easy to negotiate with the community and the police station and draw out areas on the street for shooting, so it's important to get the shots done. And this is Natalie's first performance in front of the camera, and although she was stunning and always confident, it doesn't mean that she can now completely give in to Matilda, and this part requires her to perform entirely in body language and expression.

So Adrian wanted to remind her in one way or another that making a movie was not an easy thing. Sometimes, some things are more impressive from their own experience than others are reminded in language.

It turns out Natalie does have unusual maturity and intelligence, and although she frowned slightly at the end of the fourth, she revealed herself without waiting for the fifth start, then took the next two shots very seriously, and quickly closed her eyes and started adjusting her mood after Adrian said the lens could pass.

But even so, when shooting the front lens, Adrian still thinks that her emotions are not in place and does not express that feeling, especially when there are images in his head for reference.

“Don't be discouraged, Natalie, just calm down and think about how Matilda's anxiety, nervousness and fears are expressed at this time.” Almost twenty times after ng, Adrian announced a pause and then came to the girl with the apparently depressing expression to say so.

“I've been trying to feel it, but...” Natalie said, drooling low in her head.

Seeing her like this, Adrian suddenly felt that he was in a bit of a hurry to get it done. Generally speaking, he should take some less intense shots of his emotions first, so that the two actors could communicate with each other during the shooting and get familiar with each other. In fact, that's what he was planning to do, Natalie. There are only a few shots of SWAT communication outside today, and the most important farewell scene to Lyon is not there.

Anyway, this is an indoor scene, it can be filmed at any time, but the current scene is an exterior scene. If you don't take the opportunity to shoot it now, it would be very troublesome to imagine drawing the area like this in the future, you know, this is New York.

“It's okay, after all, you're the first movie star, Natalie, and it feels normal to have nothing to do with it. So don't worry about it. We'll take it slow over and over and over and you'll always catch the feeling.” Adrian continues to comfort himself that the area divided can still be used for two days to be filmed here anyway. It is not a big deal to find a way to talk to them about renting another few days, and any problems that money can solve are not a problem.

“Well, you rest a little longer, I'll see how they're doing.” Adrian was leaving because he had previously used two cameras to capture the explosion, so he had Deputy Director Masterson take some pieces with the temporary actors, so he wanted to take the opportunity to look at them.

“No, I can go on." Natalie suddenly raised her head and opened her crystalline eyes wide to Adrian, as if her confident divine colour had never disappeared.

Adrian picked an eyebrow, looked at her for about a few dozen seconds, and finally agreed to the request: "Okay, let's go on. ”

And then there was the ng more than a dozen times, but neither Natalie nor Adrian had any other expression or language, always calmly returning home after the “cut” to prepare for the next shoot. Nevertheless, Adrian still saw the progress of the little girl, almost there even in the 19th time, but thought about it and then put up with it.

And Natalie took a deep breath, pinched her fist and encouraged herself, and returned to her position to hold onto the flower pot of 10,000 young men, bear dolls and bags.

Pfft, the camera started spinning as the crisp banging sounded. The girl with messy hair raised her head slightly and looked at the busy policeman in the street, her eyes flashing with a scorch and her eyebrows leaning upwards. She opened her mouth but then closed it again, then lowered her head and walked out along the steps with her lips down. The shadow in her eyes was more like chewing tears, but she endured to do nothing. She walked forward, just holding the young man in her arms tighter.

“Very good” Adrian watching all this finally screamed out loud.
