Chapter 475 - 334: Settling In (Part 2)

It was a minor incident, not worth mentioning.

Jenny stood quietly to the side, her gaze following Feng Mountain as he stepped out of the pool.

At some point, a faint blush had crept onto her cheeks, like clouds tinted by the setting sun.

Feng Mountain’s physique wasn’t like those of fitness coaches, with their bulging muscles that gave off an exaggerated, explosive look.

Ever since being blessed as a Witch, his body had been gradually and subtly changing.

Now, his muscles were exceptionally defined, making him look even more sculpted. It was as if every inch of his skin concealed immense power.

The lithe muscles rippled with his movements, perfectly outlining his physique. They displayed a masculine virility and strength while also exuding a unique, understated elegance.

This unique charm left Jenny somewhat mesmerized, as if she had fallen into a beautiful dream.

"See a problem?" Feng Mountain noticed Jenny’s stare. He calmly spread his arms, spun around slowly, and asked with a smile.

"No!" Jenny snapped out of her daze, quickly hiding her shyness as she reached for the bathrobe she had prepared.

She gently unfolded the robe, draped it softly over Feng Mountain, and even carefully straightened the hem.

Xiaohua came out the back door and saw the two of them in a scene of domestic harmony, looking just like a married couple. She couldn’t help but pout and tease them half-jokingly.

"Brother Shan, you’re really acting like a rich landlord these days. You have Ms. Zhan wait on you while you’re in the hot spring, and then she has to hand you your clothes when you get out."

"You’ve got the nerve to talk about me? Aren’t you the rich landlord’s pampered daughter yourself, with people waiting on you wherever you go? Believe it or not, I’ll just shout for them." Feng Mountain pretended to be annoyed, glaring at Xiaohua. Then he deliberately raised his voice and yelled toward the house, "Hua’Er wants some fruit!"

The words had barely left his mouth.

when Hu Zi’s considerate voice called from inside the house.

"Hua’Er, I’ve got blueberries and strawberries here. I just washed them. Come and have some."

Hearing this, Feng Mountain and Xiaohua froze for a second, then looked at each other and burst out laughing. The teasing instantly dissolved into affectionate fun, and they didn’t mention the earlier topic again.

Jenny watched them, a hint of envy in her eyes.

’Perhaps this kind of deep, familial bond can only be forged over time.’

"Let’s go. It’s cold out here, and everyone’s waiting for you to start dinner," Jenny said softly.

"What are they waiting for me for? You two go on ahead. I’ll be right there." Feng Mountain sounded a bit helpless. He urged them to go back inside, as he still had a few things to take care of.

With the fireplace burning inside the log cabin, Xiaohua hadn’t felt cold in just her light jacket. But after standing outside for a moment, a chilly gust of wind made her shiver, and she quickly hurried back inside.

Jenny understood what Feng Mountain needed to do, so she deliberately slowed her pace, falling a step behind.

She turned slightly, pointed to a laundry basket in the corner, and said softly, with a touch of shyness, "Toss your shorts in the basket. I’ll wash them later. The clean pair is on the chair."

After speaking, her cheeks flushed, and she hurried away.

Feng Mountain shook his head. ’This is what they mean by being waited on hand and foot.’

Sigh.

’It’s easy to go from frugal to lavish, but hard to go from lavish back to frugal.’

’If Jenny wasn’t here to manage the house, I’m afraid things would fall apart.’

One look at that old bachelor Nash’s tent was proof enough. He’d had the "pleasure" of seeing inside it a few days ago.

Good lord!

The sight was messier than a bear’s den.

All sorts of junk were piled up randomly, clothes were thrown everywhere, and the entire tent was filled with an indescribable sense of chaos.

At that thought, Feng Mountain quickly pulled off his wet trunks, grabbed the clean shorts from the chair, and put them on. Once he was dressed, he finally stepped into the house.

At that moment, the living room was filled with laughter and cheerful chatter.

Hu Zi, Black Hide, Xiaohua, and Demi were sitting on the sofa, chatting up a storm.

Even the two young masters, Xu Hongying and Su Ziweng, who usually spent their days out and about, were sitting there with them.

Only Erica sat by herself with a sour look on her face, still angry about being abandoned in the wilderness by a tiger, a stark contrast to the joyful atmosphere.

"What’s all the fun about?" Feng Mountain, still in his bathrobe, ambled over to a sofa and casually sat down.

His gaze drifted, intentionally yet nonchalantly, toward Xu Hongying and Su Ziweng. He feigned surprise, as if he’d only just noticed them, and asked, "Well, what a surprise. The two young masters are here. Where have you been off to lately?"

"Off to? We were handling business," Su Ziweng immediately perked up, sitting up straighter in defiance. He said with a hint of pride, "I used my restaurant to go into partnership with Hong Xin. We’re getting out of the food industry and going into finance."

Oh!

’Hong Xin, is it?’

’Calling her so affectionately.’

Feng Mountain curled his lip in disdain, making no effort to hide his contempt. "You? You need a calculator for addition and subtraction under 100, and you want to play with finance? I bet you didn’t even finish your nine years of compulsory education."

"Hey, who are you looking down on?" Su Ziweng immediately bristled and shot back indignantly, "Give me an addition or subtraction problem under 100! See if I use a calculator!"

Hearing this, the others couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst into roaring laughter.

Just by saying that, Su Ziweng had clearly revealed his true abilities.

Eldest Young Master Xu looked completely exasperated. He tugged at his good friend, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into, and muttered to himself, ’Stop making a fool of yourself.’

"All right, save what little brainpower you have for Miss Xu!" Feng Mountain decided to quit while he was ahead and stopped teasing Su Ziweng. He turned to Xiaohua and the other two, his playful expression instantly replaced with concern. "Do you need to adjust to the time difference? Hua’Er, are you feeling unwell?"

Xiaohua beamed, her eyes curving into crescents as she shook her head.

"Not at all. It’s strange, now that you mention it. When we got off the plane, I saw other people looking all sluggish and out of it, but the three of us had no reaction at all."

Hu Zi chimed in with a smile, "Yeah, when we landed in Fairbanks, some guy kept complaining about a headache, but we were perfectly fine, full of energy."

"It’s good that you had no reaction!" Feng Mountain knew in his heart that the Fire Seed was secretly looking after them, but of course, he didn’t let on. He just smiled and said, "Just focus on having fun now that you’re back. The Crown Territory has a lot more to offer now than when you left."

"Stop chatting, dinner’s ready!" Just then, Jenny’s gentle call came from the direction of the dining room.

After the long journey from Sagewang to the Crown Territory, they had only eaten some jerky and vegetable soup to stave off their hunger.

Now, smelling the fragrant aroma of food wafting from the dining room, Feng Mountain’s stomach let out an embarrassing growl.

"Let’s go, time to eat!" Feng Mountain said as he stood up, waving for everyone to head to the dining room.

In the dining room.

Jenny, Tammy, and Maria were making trip after trip, bringing out plates of delicious dishes from the kitchen.

The table was laden with all sorts of Chinese dishes. The reds, greens, and yellows were an alluring combination of colors, and the sight alone was enough to make one’s mouth water.

Everyone had just sat down at the table when Nash walked into the dining room.

His animal hide coat was a bit disheveled and his hair was slightly tousled; it was clear he had just rushed over after finishing his work.

However, no one looked down on Nash in the slightest. On the contrary, they all greeted him warmly.

After all, everyone present knew that to Feng Mountain, Nash was like a shadow—inseparable and utterly loyal.

If Feng Mountain gave an order, even if it was to kill someone, Nash wouldn’t even blink. To do so would be a sign of disloyalty to Feng Mountain.

"Has the tiger been fed?" Feng Mountain looked at Nash and asked with concern.

Nash nodded silently in response.

"Sit, let’s eat!" Feng Mountain pointed to an empty seat, gesturing for Nash to sit down.

Nash had just taken his seat and was about to pick up his bowl and chopsticks to start eating.

"Today’s a good day. How about we have some wine?" Erica suddenly suggested.

At that moment, Su Ziweng seemed to remember something important. He slapped his forehead, scrambled up from his chair, and hurried toward the living room.

A moment later, he returned to the dining room, cradling a colorful cardboard box.

"I just remembered. Eldest Young Master Xu and I invested in a batch of red wine. This is for you," Su Ziweng said, placing the box on the table.

Eldest Young Master Xu wore a bashful smile and began to explain.

"This is a wine from Henschke Vineyard in Australia, the 2008 vintage. The quality of the Divine Grace Mountain wine from that year was exceptional, and it has great aging potential. As it happened, the vineyard was having some financial trouble at the time, so Wenwen and I decided to invest in a batch. We’re also planning to open a winery in the Crown Territory."

"We just brought a batch back with us, so everyone, please try some."
