148 Stories Fermentation and Cooking

Back in the field, I was discussing what to do with Ruffle in front of the brewing barrel.

"I should be able to make a lot of things with this... The first thing I want to make is soy sauce."

"Hum."

"Miso next."

And then there's fish soy or something? I have fish.

Find out how to make soy sauce and miso, it's pretty much the same all the way down the road. Crush the boiled soy beans and place them in a brewing barrel with brine. After this, if you add more water, you add a small amount of water and edible grass to the soy sauce, and it becomes miso. That's a super outrageous way to make it.

Maybe if you add rice or wheat like in real life, the quality will improve, but it hasn't been discovered yet. I just have to make this simple way.

But I have a ruffle. You're supposed to have a higher skill level than me. If Ruffle had done it, he might have been able to do something of high quality.

"Soy beans are quite there. Do you want me to boil this in purified water?

"Hum!"

Sounds good. Then crush the boiled soy beans to the point where a little grain remains as directed by Ruffle and put them in the brewing barrel. I added purified water and salt to the barrel I bought for me and closed the lid. After that, you can do magic once a day. You should be able to do soy sauce in four days.

As a result, regular brewing barrels are about 5 litres in size. It is a small object and is 1 litre. So I also needed a good amount of soy beans, which would require 10 meals per barrel. For that matter, there's got to be a lot I can do.

"It's too easy for me to be anxious, but this is it, right?

"Hum."

"Well, next time, miso."

I'll leave this one to Ruffle. Shatter the beans and edible grass more handily than I do, and put them with water in the barrel. I wondered if edible grass didn't have to be powdered, but apparently it's good enough size to be a little coarse.

I see. Don't you think we should shatter everything? I'm gonna study.

"vinegar next"

I can't do rice vinegar. But I think fruit vinegar made from fruit can go.

"Do you know how to use fruit to make vinegar?

"Hum!"

Ooh. I'm familiar with the ortho, I'll leave it to you to slap him in the chest. I'll line up all the fruits in my hand. Ruffle took about five red grapes he had just bought. I asked him to make alcohol, but he's going to be vinegar with this grape.

Ruffle basically puts the red grapes on the ground when they are put in barrels. And when I unequipped the shoes that were wrapped around my feet, what a barefoot start to crush the grapes. My master told me to crush it with my hands... Well, Ruffle is light in weight, and he stepped on his feet when he was winemaking on Earth. So you're saying your legs are better? Well, I'm not gonna do it. I don't care how much you say you're not filthy in the game, huh? I don't want to drink wine crushed with my bare feet.

Once the grapes have been overcrushed, add purified water there. After this, it was entirely with the way the liquor was made that I learned on my earlier quest. The rest should be wine if left alone for 5 days. No, I use a brewing barrel for alcohol, so can I make it in 3 days?

The fact that vinegar can also be made this way means that it is possible that different objects can be made during the brewing period, even during the same manufacturing process. Really learn.

But Ruffle stuck his right hand out to me with two fingers up when he kept the lid on because of my doubts.

"What? Peace Sign?"

"Hum."

"No? Look at my fingers?

"Hum!"

"Is that different too...... Oh, could it take two days?

"Hum!"

Correct. But can you do it in two days? Even the liquor takes three days. You should definitely have to leave it for longer to make it vinegar.

"Why are you so early? Can vinegar do it faster than alcohol?

"Hum."

"No? I knew vinegar would take longer. So, thanks to Ruffle's skills?

"Hum."

"Correct. Does fermentation mean it reduces brewing time?

"Hum ~"

Nodding loudly, Ruffle. Fermentation seems to work better than I thought. I guess that means halving the brewing time if you suck. This is getting a lot more fun!

"Hey, can you make fish soy too?

"Hum!"

Ruffle first took up five Beginniuguys.

"Can we just keep it that way?

"Hum."

"There's water and salt. Huh? Is that all you need? What about judging the fish?

The brewing stage is really easy. I'm worried, but Ruffle is satisfied. All you have to do is magic every day.

Coming with soy sauce, miso, vinegar and fish soy, one more barrel left. What shall we make?

"Hey, can't you make something interesting?

"Hum?"

"Yes, yes. with materials around here."

"Hum to... Hum!

"Are you going to use soy beans again?

I made miso and soy sauce... If I was wondering, Ruffle started boiling the beans. Is that seasoning, after all?

But Ruffle did not crush the boiled beans, and pounded the beans straight into the brewing barrel. And I just add a little water, and I cover it. What can you do? Fermentations made with beans......

"Ah! Could it be Nato?

"Humu."

Ruffle nods joyfully. Nato. I'm glad to hear that. I'm white American for breakfast. I like anything for dinner. There's just one thing I really care about.

"It doesn't stink in the barrel, does it?

Well, what do you know when you try to make it? Let's leave the barrel in the barn for now.

"What more do we have to do... Fish dishes."

The aquapazza I just made was delicious. I want to try to make various fish dishes. After that, I cooked a variety of dishes with Ruffle. I've been cooking all kinds of dishes.

Salted Ayu, Salted Devil Fish Carpaccio, Braised Devil Fish Miso, Sashimi of Devil Fish, Baked Eel, Fried Shrimp, Salted River Fish, Salted Shrimp, Salted Fish Miso Pot, Sweetened and Stewed Small Fish. There's a lot more. No, it was fun. And I built it too much.

Looks like you're going to be eating fish food for a few days. But I didn't just cook properly. I have a purpose.

"Ruffle. Which one of these is my favorite?

I lined up the fish dishes I had just made with the raw fish I had before cooking and put them in front of the ruffles. These dishes were created to explore Ruffle's favorites. He was eating Aqua Pazza looking delicious, so you think his favorite dish is fish food.

"Or do you like the aquapazza you just ate?

"Hum ~"

Luffre lightly contemplates the dish before. Fish based if you can. I would appreciate it if you chose the salt-baked area. Conversely, I don't want people to choose dishes that use lots of ingredients or are laborious, like shrimp fries or aquapazza.

That's what I was thinking......

"Hum!"

"Or..."

What Ruffle pointed to was a bunch of eels. Of course, onions are expensive, with wine in soy sauce, mushroom stock, and medium effort.

"And then what do you like next?

"Hum."

"You're fried shrimp. And then what?"

"Hum."

"Miso stewed with fish fillets"

Apparently, the main seafood ingredients are more valuable and more laborious than others. This is going to cost Ruffle a lot more to eat.

"Hum?"

"No, it's nothing. Look, you can eat."

"Hum ~"

Is there any way to get fish easily? Well, I pretty much did what I wanted to do in the east town, and then I guess I can cook a bunch of ingredients and go back to starting town tomorrow.
