Chapter 169: Meditation in Corrupted Zones

[It becomes possible because of Aura. Aura rapidly consumed the energy in the surroundings. Its filtering and refining process were monstrously high, as well.

In other words, he did not merely consume the storm clouds, he conquered them.

Kaelor is also at the peak of the Lord rank. He can already manifest a partial domain. He is just lacking an opportunity.

Compared to your world, the energy here is dense. Although corrupted, once you mastered Aura, you can also reach the King’s rank faster, too.]

Felix was surprised. He did not expect that instead of falling into a despairing world, it actually became an opportunity for every beast tamer to grow stronger due to the opportunities that their world could not provide.

Seeing the state Sky Marshal Kaelor was in, Felix was determined to reach the same rank at all costs.

Now that the threat of the tide of demonic creatures were diminished after Sky Marshal Kaelor established his territory, everyone returned to the Obsidian Wing.

Felix immediately went to his parents, who were deeply concerned for him. Felix narrated what had happened and assured them that they were currently not in danger.

Mia hastily asked for Ashen and Ember to play around and Felix summoned Ashen’s spirit and Ember to calm down Mia.

Mia was anxious when they were not around.

Knowing that they were in the dangerous battle, she could not help but feel anxious.

Now that Ashen and Ember were safe and kept assuring her, Mia calmed down.

While they were waiting for Sky Marshal Kaelor, allowing Felix to chat with others, especially to Master Shen and Krisha, it took an hour for Sky Marshal Kaelor to enter the Obsidian Wing.

At the moment, his Aura was stabilized. His previous state of seemingly becoming a God of Thunder was replaced by his ordinary appearance.

Felix scrutinized him and despite fully concealing his energy from his Aura, Felix could feel that Sky Marshal Kaelor was multiple times stronger than before.

Furthermore, the more he stared at him, the more he felt like Sky Marshal Kaelor could observe what was happening inside the Obsidian Wing.

Sky Marshal Kaelor swept his gaze around, smiled at Felix, and went past his gaze to observe the current situation.

The passengers seemed to feel exhausted, but the despair in their eyes were gone. The fervent desire to survive and grow stronger, possibly instigated by his breakthrough, were hidden beneath their pupils.

Sky Marshal Kaelor inwardly sighed. His breakthrough was an immense surprise for him.

Back in his world, he had to find materials, perfect environment, and rely on luck to have a breakthrough.

In this world, opportunities were everywhere, hidden beneath the perilous circumstances.

He did not expect that his long desire to breakthrough the King’s rank was granted in a hopeless situation.

Recalling Timothy Chambers, he couldn’t help but wonder what his reactions would be if he breakthrough the King’s rank.

He glanced at the passengers and said, "I have a breakthrough."

He paused for a while, until the passengers erupted into cheers.

Felix himself clapped, while Krisha’s eyes sparkled and praised Sky Marshal Kaelor.

Sky Marshal Kaelor despite his detached and cold demeanor actually had a few interactions with Krisha.

There was a time that he look after Krisha because of his busy father.

Noticing how proud and happy Krisha was, Sky Marshal Kaelor couldn’t help but smile.

Once their cheers died down, Sky Marshal Kaelor solemnly said, "We are temporarily safe.

Outside are corrupted zones from the result of the crimson lightnings. Those zones can be a blessing or a curse."

His expression turned grave as he recalled his battle against the dark red storm clouds.

"If you fail to have a breakthrough, the corrupted energy will take over your body and you are as good as dead.

Likewise, if you succeed, you will grow stronger."

Someone raised their hands and asked, "Won’t it be better if you help us instead? Like, save us from danger if we are about to get corrupted."

Sky Marshal Kaelor immediately shook his head. "What if it’s a chance instead? And you lose it because I save you, thinking you are about to get corrupted?"

"We won’t blame you."

"You will."

Sky Marshal Kaelor shook his head. "You can’t just rely entirely on me. It’s either you want it or not. Just that."

The passengers were surprised by his stubbornness, but not one of them refute.

Though, some were so displeased by his response.

Felix asked, "Can we meditate in the corrupted zones?"

Sky Marshal Kaelor glanced at him and nodded. "Yes. That’s the better way to stabilize your aura and conquer the corrupted zones. If you succeed, there’s higher chance to reach the Lord’s rank."

The passengers’ eyes lit up.

The Lord’s Rank!

Every Lord Beast Tamer would be granted with privileges not only in the Clark City but in the whole Federation.

They didn’t even have to create a business to become wealthy, becoming a professor as a Lord Beast Tamer was more than enough.

Just as they were feeding their delusions of reaching the Lord Beast Rank, Sky Marshal Kaelor’s following words poured a cold bucket of water to their head.

"But of course if you fail, you die.

Give it sometime."

Sky Marshal Kaelor swept his gaze around and said, "If you want to meditate outside, then go.

I will return to my room now and stabilize my foundation. If you need something, ask our flight attendants.

As for the rations, I will convene with my staffs. If you have a problem and are being greedy, you will be kicked out of the plane."

His cold words sent a chill running down their spine, especially Nicholas.

After all, Sky Marshal Kaelor’s eyes swept towards him when he gave his stark warning.

He gritted his teeth but he could not do anything against Sky Marshal Kaelor.

He couldn’t even take back the humiliation that Master Shen gave to him, much less than against a King Beast Tamer.

As Sky Marshal Kaelor disappeared, the passengers fell in silence as they contemplated whether risking their life to meditate in the corrupted zones.

Felix, who was itching for meditation, glanced at Mia and bitterly smiled.

"Mia." He spoke softly.

Mia glanced at his brother and asked, "What’s up?"

"I will have to meditate outside."

His parents were shocked. Sarah asked in an anxious tone, "Consider it more, Son. There’s no need to risk your life."

Felix smiled and shook his head. "I’m not risking my life. It’s an opportunity, Mother. I can’t miss it.

Also, Ember is more than ready to have a breakthrough. Given the circumstances, we can’t allow her to remain in that state, right?"

Sarah glanced at Ember, who nodded at Mia when she was asked if she wanted to have a breakthrough.

Mia unwillingly returned Ashen and Ember.

Felix could only smile helplessly.

"I’ll go with you," said Krisha.

Felix was surprised.

Observing her Aura, he did not reject her invitation at all. Krisha’s Aura was actually as stable as him.

Krisha turned towards Sarah and assured her, "I’ll look after him, Aunt. Don’t worry."

Sarah sighed. She reluctantly said, "Careful you two. Don’t force yourself if you can’t."

Felix nodded and assured her once last time before standing up.

Krisha followed him.

Master Shen was responsible this time for safely allowing them to leave without having the abyssal energy to enter the Obsidian Wing.

Covering the opened door with his Aura, he observed Felix and said, "Your Aura is already stable. Just don’t forget to stop biting more than you chew."

Felix smiled and nodded.

Master Shen then allowed them to leave.

Once they were outside, Krisha initiated a conversation with him, "Sparkle is about to have a breakthrough, too. So, I was serious in meditating outside."

Felix nodded. "I know."

As they proceeded to the corrupted zones, Felix asked, "Sparkle is good at reconnaissance, right?"

Krisha turned towards Felix and already had an idea of what he was thinking.

"That’s right."

"How about we hunt demonic creatures after they evolve?"

Krisha was silent for a while.

"If we get overwhelmed by their numbers? We’ll die faster, you know."

Felix smiled. "Those demonic tide earlier, as I observed, are just formed because of everyone’s presence.

But there are only two of us, it can’t possibly form a tide, right?"

Krisha’s eyebrows raised. What Felix said made sense.

Aside from them, there were also the energy of a Lord’s rank, so they were definitely attracted by their foreign energy to consume.

In this world, it was not surprising that the native creatures evolved by consuming one after another.

"So, what do you want Sparkle to do?"

"Let’s find a nest. It’s fine even if it’s far. As long as there are no demonic creatures that are as powerful as the Lord’s rank.

This time, I want to fight with Rain. I want to refine my swordsmanship."

Krisha smiled.

She gripped the hilt of her sword and said, "You really are a battle maniac."

Felix chuckled.

When they reached a corrupted zone, they distanced themselves to avoid having conflicts when it came to energy absorption.

The corrupted zones’ energy were at least two times denser than the abyssal energy, causing their Aura to flicker.

If it was not because of their mind remained stable, their Aura would have been consumed by the overwhelming abyssal energy.

As soon as Felix found a perfect place to meditate, he immediately sat down and stabilized his Aura.

At the same time, his Aura’s proficiency increased because of the pressure descended upon him...
