Chapter 168: King Beast Tamer
Gazing at the fearless beast, every beast behind her also leapt out of the thunder formation.
They realized before their master that the thunder formation stabilized their aura by thinning the surrounding corrupted energy.
But for the beasts to help in maintaining and strengthening their Aura, they would have to leave and perceive the dense Abyssal energy.
The beast tamer was stunned but when they immediately learned the reason from their beasts, they did not force them to return.
Their beasts were willing to sacrifice themselves for their sakes, so why would they fail their beast pet?
Knowing that just trying to maintain their Aura, amplify their control on their Aura, become the eyes of their beasts would help a lot, they immediately turned serious and order their beast to spread out.
Tankers with earth element gathered together and distances themselves a bit from the tankers with fire elements.
Different element type of beasts sprang into action, gathering together with those they shared the same role and elements.
When they were finished, the flood of demonic creatures were just a kilometer away from them.
Just then, Felix’s fired his third arrow.
Swoosh!
The noise resounded akin to a firework bolting into the sky.
Its explosion rang out—majestic and thunderous.
The beasts with long range skills fire one after another, bombarding the flood of demonic creatures in every direction.
When the first line of demonic creatures collided with the tankers, explosions after explosions rang out.
Fire spread around, the earth tanker actually managed to cave in the obsidian rocks.
Winds sliced through the demonic creatures, amplifying the flames.
In the other direction, water were summoned one after another, forcing the demonic creatures to take a step back.
The demonic creatures couldn’t do anything.
The vertical split mouth of a demonic creatures for instance was forced to swallow flames that destroyed their body inside.
The enormous wolf-like demons faced the water barraged, making the obsidian floor slippery, affecting their movements, while perceiving their body becoming heavy from the water assault.
The shadow-cloaked predators faced the beasts with the same terrifying agility.
Although the beasts were smaller than them, they found it difficult to catch them when wide range skills seemed to have coordinated with the beasts.
Moon was the highlight in the battle. Her agility, speed, and lethality caught the attention of other beasts who couldn’t help but feel invigorated, wanting to compete with her.
Although it appeared that the beasts were gaining the upperhand, the beasts were taking a step back.
The demonic creatures simply outnumbered them.
There were many of them that the beasts and beast tamer had to scatter around to cover the south area and those in the other direction inevitably met the others in the northern area.
They could also hear the battle raging on the opposite direction of the Obsidian Wing. In other words, they were already surrounded in every direction.
Retreat was not an option, they were like a mouse trapped in a corner.
However, the beast tamers and beasts did not despair.
Sky Marshal Kaelor’s thunder formation covered the whole humanity, even in the west.
His Chainbolt Wyvern pushed back the demonic creatures and his Tempest Crown Roc’s Storm Dominion struck fear to the aerial demonic creatures, causing not a single demonic creature to step inside the thunder formation.
As long as the thunder formation that acted as a shelter remained, the beast tamers and their beasts remained in high morale.
Furthermore, every minute or two, those beasts actually managed to breakthrough on their tiers, allowing them not only to rejoice but to be filled with fighting spirits.
Time passed, the beasts managed to stay on their ground, only the supports and long-range beasts had to step back into the thunder formation.
Demonic creatures began to pile up like mountains in front of them.
When Sky Marshal Kaelor saw it, his eyes narrowed.
This is dangerous.
If those carcasses turn into a mountain, the beasts will have no choice but to face the demonic creatures above.
Suddenly, dark red storm clouds began to manifest above.
Sky Marshal Kaelor snorted and was about to disperse the dark red storm clouds again when thunder began to roar from it.
He noticed that the demonic creatures paused and gazed at the crimson lightning, hesitating.
His eyes widened.
Before the dark red storm clouds fully manifest, he shouted, "Beasts, enter the thunder formation."
Before the beast could process what was happening, Moon was the first to return.
Unknowingly, Moon became their leader. Her actions became theirs, so they did not hesitate to retreat to the thunder formation.
Every beasts from different direction enter the formation and the demonic creatures stared at them, their eyes were filled with fervent desire to feast for them.
They stood frozen on the ground, hesitating.
Their instinct was screaming, but their greed was grumbling in their stomachs.
Suddenly, crimson lightning struck in every direction.
It was not as destructive to Sky Marshal Kaelor beasts’ thunder, but it was enough for the demonic beasts to be annihilated.
Most of the Crimson Lightning targeted the mountain of carcasses, seemingly attracted the abyssal energy of these creatures.
Most of them were at the Commander Peak rank, but given their numbers, it was enough for even a Lord Rank demonic creatures to feel attracted.
Thankfully, there were no Lord demonic creatures in their surroundings.
The Crimson lightning continued to strike at the mountains of carcasses, occasionally striking at the thunder formation.
Sky Marshal Kaelor couldn’t help but narrow his gaze when he felt like the dark red storm clouds sensed their presence and were wanting to strike them as well.
Unfortunately, the Crimson Lightning couldn’t pierce through the formation.
The Crimson Lightning could only focus at the mountain pile of carcasses, while those demonic creatures fleeing were not exempted.
As time passed, the dark red storm clouds suddenly grew stronger.
The Crimson Lightning thickened, its corrupted zones it left behind after obliterating the demonic creatures expanded.
Sky Marshal Kaelor couldn’t allow the dark red storm clouds to grow stronger.
Just as he was about to make a move, a bold idea popped up in his head.
He allowed the dark red storm clouds to consume every demonic creatures in sight, until they were surrounded with corrupted zones that would temporarily scare the demonic creatures away.
When the dark red storm clouds exuded an aura closer to the King Beast Tamer, it rumbled with thunder again, fully placing itself above the Obsidian Wing.
As thought it was rejoicing for its next meal.
Suddenly, Sky Marshal Kaelor flew upwards. His Aura brought him into the air.
When he reached a certain height, his Tempest Crown Roc and Chainbolt Wyvern surrounded him, circling him around.
Sky Marshal Kaelor summoned two other beasts—Thunderveil Skyrail and Ironclap Gryphon.
They surrounded him, as if to protect him.
The people below were about to fall into panic.
Sky Marshal Kaelor obviously aimed to exit the thunder formation.
If he left, would the thunder formation remain active?
The people in the west were not panicking.
They saw Sky Marshal Kaelor planted the Cloudbreaker in the ground, keeping the thunder formation active.
They watched as Sky Marshal Kaelor and his beasts entered through the dark red storm clouds and disappeared.
Everyone held their breath.
Seeing that the thunder formation being active, they were supposed to feel relieved, but not knowing Sky Marshal Kaelor’s state at the moment agitated them.
The dark red storm clouds resounded with thunderous noise, they saw white blue lightning occasionally appearing, but it was immediately swallowed by Crimson Lightning.
They clenched their fists tightly, while their hearts thumped every time they saw the white blue lightning crackled inside.
Suddenly, the dark red storm clouds were being swallowed at the center.
As though a massive vortex has appeared, devouring the dark red storm clouds.
Crimson Lightning struck outside the dark red storm clouds, as if the latter was panicking.
Eventually, the Crimson Lightning were completely swallowed and Sky Marshal Kaelor and his beasts remained at the center, hovering in the air.
Suddenly, Sky Marshal Kaelor released a thunder energy in every direction, covering 1 kilometer radius on the ground and 1 kilometer high up with him in the center, seemingly creating his domain.
As his domain stabilized, arcs of blue-white lightning stretched from his body toward each of his five contracted beasts.
They did not resemble chains or tethers, but streams of flowing energy that pulsed with every heartbeat.
The connections appeared only for an instant before fading into invisibility, yet everyone present understood what they had witnessed.
Sky Marshal Kaelor no longer fought alongside his beasts.
He and his five companions had become a single storm.
Felix narrowed his eyes and stared at the Sky Marshal Kaelor.
He discerned a crown cackling with thunder above his head and his eyes no longer merely glow.
They now resembled two miniature thunderstorms.
Countless strands of lightning flickered within his pupils, appearing and disappearing in an endless cycle, as though an entire storm had been compressed into his gaze.
His Stormmarshal Mantle evolved just by its exquisite appearance. The silver embroidery no longer resembled stitched patterns. Rivers of lightning coursed through every thread, flowing continuously like veins beneath skin.
Not only Sky Marshal Kaelor experienced a dramatic change on his body and equipment, even his beasts evolved.
His beasts were massive than before, especially his Tempest Crown Roc.
Guide’s voice echoed in his mind.
[Judging by the energy he exuded and the domain he created, he becomes a King Beast Tamer.]
Felix was awestruck. "Is it because he consumed the dark red storm clouds? How was that possible?"
