Chapter 164: Aura
Nicholas suddenly opened his eyes, gasping for breath. His beast pets were already recalled to his beast space.
Earlier, he suddenly found his vision turning upside down, eventually glancing at his headless body, shocking him to the core.
Just when he had fallen to despair and accepted his fate, he suddenly found himself kneeling to the floor, feeling suffocated.
He was completely terrified.

Master Shen retracted his Sword Intent that was mixed with Killing Intent, causing Nicholas to see himself being beheaded.

He swept his gaze around and noticed the other Commander Beast Tamers behaved.
He turned towards his seat and settled down.
He said, "Panicking is useless. If you feel hopeless, just get yourself killed outside. I won’t tolerate wreaking havoc like a madman."
Being called like a madman enraged Nicholas, but knowing that Master Shen’s words made sense, he didn’t have a choice but to force himself to calm down.
As the passenger hall remained quiet throughout, Sky Marshal Kaelor’s voice echoed again.
"The energy in this world is approximately five times denser than our world. However, its made out of corrupt energy.
A Commander Beast Tamer and above must master Aura to protect themselves from being corrupted.
At the same time, this is a good news for those Commander Beast Tamer and above as we can take advantage of this energy and strengthen our energy core.
Unfortunately, Awakener Beast Tamer must not be exposed to this world’s energy.
The Obsidian Wing can last for two years straight.
Afterwards, the Awakener Beast Tamer must have a breakthrough to reach the Commander Beast Tamer."
Sky Marshal Kaelor fell silent, hinting towards Felix.
Felix fell into deep thought, closing his eyes, taking a deep breath, and slowly exhaled. Time was of the essence.
He was confident his parents would comply to survive—regarding what training Sky Marshal Kaelor would employ.
Sky Marshal Kaelor continued, "There are a total of four Lord Beast Tamer at the present and mastering Aura is not difficult for them.

We will be teaching every Commander Beast Tamer to master Aura.

Sky Marshal Kaelor was silent for a while, seemingly pondering.

Our first main objective is to protect the Obsidian Wing until the demonic creatures’ numbers dwindled and officially marked this place as our territory."
His tone was solemn and firm, causing the passengers to feel a ray of hope of survival.
Master Shen glanced at Doctor Eleanor and asked, "Have you already mastered your Aura?"
Doctor Eleanor shook her head. "At most, I can manifest it, but I can’t make it last for a day."
Master Shen nodded. "Do you notice my Aura?"
Doctor Eleanor frowned. She didn’t expect that he already manifested his Aura so early.
She scrutinized Master Shen and as time passed by, she only felt embarrassed.
However, her embarrassment was then later changed to astonishment.
How is that possible?
She finally noticed Master Shen’s Aura.
Master Shen’s Aura was almost imperceptible. Perhaps, because Master Shen had mastered the mist element, and his Aura was exactly carrying the properties of the mists.
Doctor Eleanor narrowed her gaze and assessed Master Shen’s Aura.
It was thin and stable. She observed in the thin line of Master Shen’s Aura, it was gathering energy in the surroundings to sustain it.
Her understanding of Aura was turned upside down. Her eyes widened.
So, instead of using energy from his energy core to sustain the Aura, he’s using the energy in the surroundings.
Doctor Eleanor realized how high Master Shen’s mastery of Aura was.
It was difficult for her to attain even if she was given for days...
Perhaps, it will take years to master it.
As though reading her thoughts, Master Shen smiled. "It took me a lot of years to master it. Mastering Aura will grant a lot of benefits when it comes to strengthening your energy core.
Sky Marshal Kaelor is right. This world, despite being corrupted with energy, can help us progress a lot faster.
Tempered by the upcoming battle and the mystery of this world, I doubt not a single one here will reach the Lord rank."
He intentionally raised his voice, allowing others to hear him.
Strangely though, his words were reasonable, especially when it was delivered after Sky Marshal Kaelor said what he observed from the world’s energy.
As a result, most of the Commander Beast Tamers, whose progress dwindled because of the peaceful era of their world, which compelled them to focus on accumulating wealth to provide for their family, felt a sudden surge of excitements.
Most of the passengers were involved in business, while some were exchanged students from the Military and various academies.
In other words, those business-related passengers had their foundation neglected.
Now that their focus was survival, they finally saw their current predicament as a chance to temper and grow stronger.
Once they returned, they could protect their families with their strength.
Now that their understanding of their situation changed, they finally felt like surviving was the upmost priority rather than falling into depression.
Sky Marshal Kaelor appeared at the front of the passenger’s hall.
He swept his gaze around and was a bit satisfied that the passengers’ temperament changed.
Although Nicholas was displeased by how he was treated earlier, most of the passengers slowly began to accept their current situation.
He said, "Master Shen is right. Although we don’t know the current state of this world, one thing is certain, we must survive and leave this hellish place.
By the time we leave, we have grown stronger, mentally and physically.
Furthermore, once we leave the space rifts, I suspected that the space rift will fully appeared in our world.
Unless we kill the owner of this world, we can’t stop the space rift for establishing a connection to this world and to our world, bringing demonic creatures to endanger our world.
Don’t worry, we must leave without having to kill the owner and warn the Monarchs before they wreaked havoc."
The passengers’ nodded solemnly. They seemed to have accept the idea of surviving and leaving their current world.
Sky Marshal Kaelor said, "At the moment, first we must survive and then slowly investigate this world. We might be able to find a dimension tear and that might be the space rift we need to cross.
But it’s still uncertain."
Sky Marshal Kaelor noticed he already said a lot, perceiving his throat running dry.
I’m talking a lot of nonsense now.
"First, we must master Aura. I believe only Master Shen and I master Aura.
Mastering Aura is highly difficult but it will grant a lot of benefits.
First, high efficient of absorption and refinement of energy in the surroundings.
Normally, when we absorb energy from the surroundings, we simply pull it directly into our energy core.
The process is crude and inefficient, like trying to catch scattered fireflies with our bare hands. "
Sky Marshal Kaelor was silent for a while, pondering how to elucidate without wasting a lot of words.
"Aura is different. Aura is an extension of the energy core that exists outside the body. Think of it as establishing a territory where your energy and the surrounding energy naturally resonate.
Once Aura is formed, it becomes an anchor. Instead of chasing energy, nearby energy is gradually drawn toward the Aura on its own.
The greater your mastery, the less energy you spend maintaining Aura. Eventually, Aura sustains itself by absorbing ambient energy faster than it consumes it."
Sky Marshal Kaelor glanced at Master Shen, and the latter immediately understood his subtle gesture.
Master Shen stood up and spoke.
"Sky Marshal Kaelor using analogy of fireflies is good.
But to fully understand Aura, imagine standing in a river. Without Aura, gathering energy is like scooping water with your hands. Every handful slips away before you can use it.
Aura is different. It is like digging a whirlpool into the river. Once formed, the current naturally flows toward it."
Sky Marshal Kaellor was elated.
Master Shen explained Aura very well.
Suddenly, the other Lord Beast Tamer asked, "Why is mastering Aura efficient in this situation?"
Sky Marshal did not reply, as Master Shen took his silence as being responsible to respond.
He said, "Aura doesn’t merely attract energy. It filters it. Corrupted energy entering the Aura is restrained before reaching the energy core, allowing us to refine it safely.
In other words, Aura is simply not for better absorption and refinement process, but also for protection against this situation.
Aura is only taught in the military since it required a a dense energy environment, such as the battlefield.
Comprehension is also a must."
