Lesson 13: Receptionist Thoughts

"Mine, did you leave?

The guild chief finds me and calls out.

"Yeah, earlier...... There was an incident with Hijord, so I can't say I'm safe, but I managed to close my adventurer registration."

"Well, thank you for your hard work. But now you've taken on a good deal of exclusivity, huh? Even though the highly-ranked people asked for it, they said no."

When the guild chief told you about putting an exclusive receptionist on you as an apology, I ran for office immediately.

Indeed, I have had several opportunities so far to become the exclusive of a well-known adventurer.

Even if it looks like this, I am proud to say that I can do my job.

Drawing on his previous experience as an Adventurer (B), he thinks he has gained trust from adventurers.

That's why there are quite a few adventurers who apply exclusively to me.

But thank goodness no one has echoed my heart, and I have refused everything.

As the guild chief is told, there were also a number of highly-ranked people who refused.

Having a dedicated receptionist for adventurers is considered a great honor and is one of the goals alongside increasing the rank.

There are mountains of adventurers who are ranked high but have no exclusivity.

That would be true, because the number of receptionists is overwhelmingly lower than the adventurers.

Being exclusive to high-ranking adventurers has great advantages both for the receptionist and in terms of being able to afford time in terms of pay.

Speaking of high-ranking adventurers, they are highly paid, and some daughters become exclusive to them, hang out with their adventurers, and dream of getting married as they are.

And I did have many daughters in the past who were actually going to marry me.

Therefore, the receptionists also want to be exclusive to adventurers with slightly better conditions, so they won't get inside out.

So I would say that the case of turning down a highly-ranked adventurer, like me, is quite rare.

I don't think it's impossible for the guild chief to wonder that I've taken on your exclusivity, Mine.

"Right, I'm surprised to be honest with myself. I never dreamed I'd have an exclusive adventurer."

"Hmm, so why did you take it on?

"... well, there's a good reason why you took refuge in Hijord's attack, but is that the best reason?"

Yes, it's an uncertain thing, but I followed my own lead, Mine, and I took on your exclusive.

Too polite to say you're looking to be an adventurer, the strength of the mind that sheltered me knowing I'd be beaten, the depth of thought to look into the guild before registering.

And most importantly, when I first saw that kid, it was like a current that I felt all over my body.

That's what I said piled up, and I accidentally raised my hand.

I'm sure he'll be a well-known adventurer, because it seemed so.

"Right, okay. Be sure to support him exclusively."

That's all I said, the guild chief went back to the office.

I'm sure you've been waiting for me to worry about you, Mine.

By the way, the job of a dedicated receptionist is basically to handle business as support when there are no dedicated adventurers, and when you are busy, etc.

However, in that case, a red placard meaning "exclusively available" can be placed on the reception counter.

If this red bill stands, it signals that if the adventurer in charge of the receptionist comes to the guild, he or she will be replaced with another staff member, even if he or she is dealing with it.

There is basically nothing left to rub because it means that you are aware of this and have it lined up.

But, naturally, because of a profession with many roughnecks, they can occasionally ignore it and rub it.

In such cases, Alliance staff specializing in rough affairs are supposed to provide immediate response.

If there is no way to help with general reception work, we often secure and collect materials with the consent of the guild manager for the requests that we have been able to make for the adventurer in charge.

If the adventurer in charge is active, he or she will be desperate to work because a large bonus will be paid to his or her salary.

It should be noted that the guild's receptionist always has a ten-member system.

It consists of five persons in charge of the reception desk known as Teller and five auxiliary personnel known as Stagehands.

Tellers and stage hands change in rotation.

Stagehands are assisted by tellers and it is their job to get some rest.

Naturally, when a dedicated receptionist is born, these 10 people will be vacant.

In this case, the receptionist who immediately ceased to be exclusive will fill the vacancy.

The receptionist, who has been de-excluded, is called a waiter and usually takes the form of a teller and a stage hand getting into the follow up while they take a break.

Incidentally, if the adventurer in charge of the exclusive receptionist dies in an accidental accident or discontinues the adventurer, etc., the exclusive will naturally be released.

In fact, there are quite a lot of things that happen when life and death are just adjacent tasks.

In the event that the vacancy cannot be adjusted by the receptionist who is de-excluded, a new recruitment shall be made.

Since the profession of guild receptionist is taken up by women and is a very popular profession, recruitment is confirmed immediately.

However, since it will mostly be filled by a waiter, there will be no new arrivals.

"Well, Mine, I don't think you're coming anymore today, and I think I'll help you with the reception."

A red tag was placed on the open counter and the familiar adventurers packed it all together as they sat in the chair.

"Aisha, is it true that you are now exclusive!?

"Yeah, it's true. I don't think he's coming today anymore."

"Why not!? You said no even if I asked you... why did you build a young man who just signed up for the guild today!

This is Lyle, a Class C adventurer who previously turned down exclusivity.

Well, I certainly wouldn't be convinced...... I guess I'll just have to be honest with you.

"Well, if you insist, it's my instinct."

With that said, Mr. Lyle's face stains bright red with crocodiles and trembling.

"You say that you are more futuristic in Germany than I am?

"Futurity, it's a little different than... don't you like it?

"... right, I don't like it. Very much."

That said, he turned his back on the counter and left the guild.
