Lord Of Puppets

Chapter 322 – Elementals and golems.

Sponsored

[One hour later.]

"Elemental golems?" – asked Porai as she was communicating with Ariava’s communication tool which was shaped like a mage staff which allowed not only sound but also visual communication.

"You mean like golems with specific elemental powers? Or elementals?"

{"Both."}

"Hm... Honestly, it would be for the best if I was there... Still, it doesn’t really looks like I will be able to go to the dungeon anytime soon... Again."

"After this recent incident with hostile vampires, I’m forced to try and make even more stuff which could somewhat deal with it...."

(Still, how the fuck did they recreate this THING?!) – thought Porai as she started at her camouflage device that she made.

(Even if you did managed to surgery remove this device from the living subject, it wouldn’t give you enough data.)

(You could find out how it works, but not how to make it.)

(This is just that kind of pain in the ass tool.)

(You would need to figure out the creation process all on your own.)

"..."

(But when?)

(How much time did it take them to recreate this thing from the scratch?)

(And do they have somebody in equal to me on their side?)

"..."

*Sigh*

"Anyway... The elemental golems?"

"Well, you can make golem that for example can use specific elemental by giving it special magic tools or just make them have ability to cast spells by themselves."

"For example, I’ve made a golem called Yeti golem."

"It is a golem that posses ability to use ice magic, but creating a freezing mist around itself that can slow down enemies or straight up freeze them if they are exposed for too long."

"And it even has ability to create ice projectiles which it can fire."

{"But it is fully mechanical golem made out of steel and what not? Not made out of ice, yes?"}

"Em... Yeah?"

{"But is it possible to make golem out of pure element? Or least half of it?"}

"..."

"Huh... That is... Interesting question."

"Let me think for moment."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"I don’t think it is possible?"

"I mean, with maybe elements that have somewhat physical form, like earth, ice, magma and what not, you could technically made out golem of these, but it wouldn’t be obviously a not be pure made golem, since you would need to add golem core and what not."

"And you would also add a protective layer around the golem core in order to protect it from its own element, like ice or magma can freaking destroy the core."

"However, for the stuff like fire, water, wind and what not... I don’t really see way where you could make something like that."

"The golem veins wouldn’t able to be kept in place because the elements would be kept shifting."

"You could make some kind of massive torso which has different kind of powerful magical tools and what not, but how would you move it around?"

"Use fire to blast over and over to hop-hop?"

"It wouldn’t really have any solid way of moving around or even doing anything."

"At this point something like straight up elemental is just way better."

"Elementals are beings that are made out of pure elemental mana."

"They are somewhat like spirits, but way different."

"Elementals are mindless beings, a somewhat akin to a golem."

"The feral elementals can be born... But again, they are mindless."

"However, because how feral elementals are born, for example accumulation of the specific elemental energies that end up being triggered by something, be it by the natural phenomena or maybe caused by the environment."

"This causes a violent creation of the golem, causing it to be somewhat unstable and hostile to everything."

"As for when you want to create elemental yourself?"

"Well, you know how you can make your own earth golem right on the spot, right?"

"It is somewhat similar... But at the same time, completely different."

"To create elemental right on the spot you will need to use up a large amount of mana."

"It is divided into multiple phases."

"First phase is skeleton."

"You need to create a base of the elemental, it doesn’t really need to be a humanoid."

"Each element is acting differently, for example spinning wind."

"A elemental that has its entire body made out of different tornados."

"One massive for the entire torso combined with legs and two smaller ones.

"Or for example a fire elemental that somewhat looks like skeleton which its lower half being nothing but pure flames."

"Different elements requires different body builds that would work with the specific element."

"The second step is activation, simple put, empower the base you had made by giving its enough power to move and give it more to even do anything like attack and what not."

"It is straight up adding a flesh to the bones. The base is bones that cannot truly do anything on its own, but activation will be like muscles that makes elemental have strength to do stuff."

"The third step is commands."

"As said before, elementals are just dolls."

"The standard elementals you make, not the wild ones, will be just emotionless, lifeless and soulless dolls."

"You need to learn how to control them, how to make your commands works, if you want to have the elemental do anything."

{"So like coding?"}

"Hm... No. Like element manipulation and familiar manipulation combined."

"It does sounds the same, but they are completely different."

"And if you want to have the elemental straight up be able to operate without your direct control, then you would have to implements the commands and manipulation information right into the elemental."

"After you learn how to make all 3 steps, you just smash them together all at once and combine them."

"The base will be the skeleton."

"The energy will become the flesh."

"And the commands will become brain."

"The elementals... Well, they can be made in different ways and what not."

"But depending on how strong you want your elemental to be AND how much lifespan you want to give them, you would need to use up a lot of mana."

"There also comes problem with elemental control and what not."

"The better you are at controlling the element, the better you should have time learning how to handle commands and element manipulation orders much easier, allowing you to create an elemental at much cheaper price."

"For example, a beginner fire mage can create the same elemental golem as the advance fire mage, but because how sloppy his creation was made, it straight up resulted in him using 3 times more mana than he should or maybe even 5 times more."

"..."

{"What are the elementals weaknesses?"}

"Well, they need to be made out of pure element, so obviously the element that normally counters their own element would result in the elemental taking critical damage."

"Not only that, but their base is straight up what truly keeps them together and if it is damage, the elemental will take extra damage."

"They can reform it and what not, but that process uses up more mana compare to restoring any other parts of their body."

"The moment the elementals uses up too much mana or if most of its body is destroyed before it could reform, the elemental just dies."

"..."

(Hm... Then this is truly problematic.) – thought Thauma.

(I’ve already realized that making a golem from water alone could be problematic.)

(Still... She said that it could be possible to give a specific elemental power to the golem....)

(But this isn’t what I want.)

(I could make a rock and arcane elementals... But... Hm?)

{"Question."}

{"Can you make elemental out of two different elements?"}

"Like a combination? Well... Technically speaking it SHOULD be possible."

"There were cases of the feral elementals that were made out of more than one elements, which does confirms that it is possible to make double element elementals."

"However, you would need to make elemental that have both of its element synchronize with each other, like making two elementals into the one where they are truly just a one."

"It doesn’t sounds easy at all if you think about it."

{"But it is possible?"}

"Well, yeah?"

"..."

"..."

(So, the elementals can be made out of multiple elements... As for the elemental golems, they could be made to also operate different elements, if you just make it right too.) – thought Thauma.

(But I didn’t wanted that. I wanted-)

"..."

(Wait.)

{"I have idea."}

{"What if I could combine a golem with an elemental?"}

"!"

"..."

"Explain." – said Porai as she gotten somewhat curios.

{"For example, create a combination of a base, which will be both elemental and golem made or just pure golem base that will act like a base for the fusion between the two."}

{"If I could somewhat fuse the base of the elemental alongside the golem body, then I could do it!"}

{"I can make a creature that is both a golem in nature and elemental in nature!"}

{"And I think I also have something that could help me out in this."}

{"I’ve already made a prime example of the golem that can use the earth to restore itself while having its body made out of earth."}

{"The earth golem champion."}

{"My forget skills made it possible!"}

{"And if that is the case, then what is stopping me from going one step further, and creating a golem that is not only made out of mostly the earth, but also could have ability to possible control the earth magic itself?"}
