Chapter 1283: Let the Best Eight Years End Here
"I’m the kind of person who doesn’t bother others unless they bother me. If Miss Greenwood comes in front of me causing trouble, I might end up hitting her and sending her to the station! In City C, I’d rather be known for walking sideways with arrogance than be bullied again!"
Especially being bullied to the point of severe bleeding!
The last time Andrea and Olivia made things difficult for her was a lesson hard to forget. If it happens again, the other party must pay the price!
Arlo Seys held Ariel Morris tightly as they walked toward the car, "Dawn, Nico, you guys head back too."
"Hmm, Boss Seys, bye-bye." Nico Haynes gripped his car keys, whistled at Anaya Campbell, with a raised brow, "Come on, I’ll give you a ride home."
It was the deep hours of the night, Anaya Campbell knew it was hard to get a cab, so she didn’t hesitate and got into Nico’s car.
Dawn Sutherland held a sleeping Finley Sutherland, gently spoke to Daisy Grant, "Let’s head back too."
"Alright." Daisy Grant went ahead, opened the car’s back door, and after Dawn placed Finley securely, she sat in, holding the sleeping child.
Dawn returned to the driver’s seat.
Steven Cooper bid farewell to Nicole with a gentle voice; Nicole returned a faint smile, her gaze fixed ahead, no longer looking outside the window.
Jose Floyd stood still, facing Nicole’s relentless indifference, his body shook even more.
Arlo Seys glanced at the shaky Jose Floyd standing outside, noticed his unstable condition as if he might collapse at any moment, and sent a silent question to Nicole in the back seat.
Receiving the look, Nicole smiled nonchalantly, her voice even more casual, "Brother, what are you doing? Drive, I’m quite tired today, the sooner we get home, the sooner we can rest."
Ariel Morris pursed her lips in the passenger seat, "Nicole, should we... go out and take him to the hospital, after all, you did know each other."
She felt a pang of unease as she saw Jose Floyd through the rearview mirror. He survived the car accident, yet Nicole became someone else’s fiancée. Just imagining this, it was quite unbearable.
"Jorge Saxton will take care of him, no need for us to worry."
Nicole’s gaze remained fixed ahead, not sparing a glance at the figure standing not far from the car, her voice was calm and indifferent.
Arlo Seys caught the fatigue in her eyes, decided not to delay and started the car.
Nicole’s fingers tightened into her palm, trembling slightly, but her face maintained an effortless calmness.
As the car moved, Nicole’s peripheral vision couldn’t turn away, her eyes stinging with tears that threatened to fall, only to be swallowed back into her heart.
She wasn’t cheap, nor did she want to cheapen herself further.
Olivia warned her more than once to stop entangling with Jose Floyd. And now, she has a fiancé, he has a fiancée with an unborn child, crossing so many layers of hatred and entanglement, how could she reach into his palm?
Those bygone days were over, those hands which once solely belonged to her had rightfully become Andrea Greenwood’s possession. She wouldn’t be a mistress and didn’t want to be criticized by Andrea Greenwood and Olivia Summer again.
Jose Floyd, whose shoulder once offered her solace, now was shared with Andrea Greenwood. To be a third party, she admitted she was incapable.
Love need not be perfect, but it must at least remain steadfast and faithful from beginning to end.
Five years of the past, leading up to these three years of renewed encounters and entanglements, eight years of life, her most beautiful era of youth was all about Jose Floyd, but now, let it end.
As the car started, she heard Jorge Saxton’s angry shout, "Jose!!"....
