Nicole’s heart was turbulent, but her face remained calm, looking at the person in front of her, silent for a moment.

"Shut up! I’m just making you owe a lifetime of debt, not helping you unconditionally!" Jose interrupted Nicole’s words, pulling her wrist and walking inside.
As soon as they turned around, they saw Stuart Floyd and Celine Sutton standing by the door, unsure of when they arrived.
"Godfather, godmother." Nicole greeted, trying to free her wrist from Jose’s grip.
The force on her wrist was strong, tightly holding her, without loosening even a bit. Nicole’s face looked somewhat unnatural, her eyes slightly lowered, not daring to meet Stuart and Celine’s eyes.
Meanwhile, Celine stepped forward two steps, her eyes filled with mist and excitement as she looked at Jose, her fingertips trembling.
Stuart grabbed Celine and gently shook his head at her, signaling her not to let anything slip, "Celine, don’t."
Celine received Stuart’s signal, restrained her excitement, looked at Jose with a particularly gentle voice: "Child, you and Nicole have come back. I have prepared a table full of delicious food for you, quickly go and eat."
Jose didn’t speak, embracing the still struggling Nicole into his arms forcefully, his expression remaining cool and indifferent.
Nicole couldn’t break free from his embrace, glared at Jose, and whispered, "Let go, my godfather and godmother are watching!"
Jose’s gaze turned towards Stuart and Celine.
Stuart immediately shook his head, "It’s okay, it’s okay, every couple has their arguments. What happens on the bed stays on the bed. We, Celine and I, absolutely won’t interfere in your relationship. If you two can be together, we’re happier than anything else."
Celine immediately smiled and nodded, "But Jose, you should yield more to Nicole. The road ahead is long. Marrying Nicole means you should cherish her well. Only understanding, tolerance, and affection can take marriage further. Jose, cherish Nicole more in the future, my husband and I... your godfather... will be happier than anything."
Nicole: "..."
Why does she always feel that the stance of her godfather and godmother’s words is that of Jose’s elders giving advice?
She is supposed to be the goddaughter!
Jose didn’t care about Nicole’s inner grumblings, and he led her into the house.
