Jujutsu Sorcerer Physique: A body that gives the user access to Cursed Energy; the amount of Cursed Energy depends on the user’s potential, capping at Grade 1.
Note: Getting this will not awaken any cursed techniques.
Price:- 8000 EP
’Why do they cap it at Grade 1?’ John cursed at this unscrupulous merchant as they had listed the special grade physique separately for some reason.
If only they had allowed that possibility with this one; as a Hanma, he could lack everything but potential. There was a reason this bloodline was in the rare section.
Still, he had to accept this greedy tactic and buy the physique. It gave him a durability boost and even powered up his attacks while opening the door to cursed techniques.
’Time to become the King of Black Flashes.’ The idea of hitting black flashes back-to-back made him cackle. He only hoped he didn’t have to shout while hitting it. That would take all the coolness out of it.
Seeing it nicely sitting in his inventory, John moved on to his next target. He didn’t plan to absorb the physique just yet.
Boogie Woogie
A cursed technique that grants absolute control over positioning. With a single clap, instantly exchange the location of yourself and a valid target.
Price: 10,000 EP
This one was barely inside the Rare section. But it had incredible potential in John’s eyes.
His first idea was to buy the Float quirk from MHA, but it cost 30,000 EP for some reason. Well, he knew the exact reason, but still. If only he could pair that up with Black Whip, there would be a second spider in town.
"Soon, I will have that combo, soon." He reassured himself, moving to the next best option he could find.
Boogie Woogie. For a second, pricing this at 10k felt criminal; did the system have anything against his brother Todo? Regardless, John bought it before the system decided to raise the price or anything like that.
With those two out of the way, he could now set his eyes on his future goals.
"Reversed Cursed Technique and Conqueror’s Haki. I need these two fast." Their combined price was over 50,000 EP.
’Wasn’t it a thing where Rogue was unable to absorb someone’s soul and their powers if their will was strong enough to overpower her?’ Conqueror’s Haki should have him with that.
"Or maybe this system has some defensive capabilities?" He gave the system his best puppy dog eyes ultra max, but the bland panel just blinked purple.
’Guess I gotta figure this out myself.’ The good thing was there wasn’t any higher level of Conqueror’s Haki and RCT available in the shop; constant training and using them over and over would do the job for him.
’What would it be like for a Hanma to have the Conqueror’s Haki?’
"Isn’t that basically Whitebeard?" He chuckled at his own bad joke and left the training room.
His EP counter was too low, and he didn’t want to know what would happen if he didn’t pay the usage fee. It could be just a simple ejection to a hundred arms with that cane beating him up.
John shuddered at the possibility that it could be the latter. The three arms already scared him, never mind 100.
Over the past few days, he had seen that the shop didn’t have everything. Some of the items he had previously seen had also vanished after the subsystem was chosen, and new abilities came in their place.
He was sure he had seen something about physics and maths while window shopping before, but those skills had been replaced by things like animation, music theory, and skills for each instrument.
’It should’ve had skills for University subjects at least.’ Now John had to memorize everything from the beginning; well, he didn’t mind it since Gwen helped him.
There wasn’t a need to buy any intelligence-boosting skills. His brain, which was a 5,789,179 IQ supercomputer, was more than enough for him to get through university without losing the scholarship. Adding more to it would only mess with his brain’s supreme function.
Regardless, even if he lost the scholarship, he could pay the tuition as the dough kept rolling in.
’Well, this is still American education.’ He anxiously checked his account balance.
Still, he’d better get RCT first, or one bad fight result could put him into debt. America came with a wombo combo of Education and Healthcare.
He already would’ve been neck deep in debt if it wasn’t for his body’s unnatural recovery rate.
"Give me more money, my dear readers." He got into his chair with fake tears. "You don’t want me to be broke, right?"
The melodrama aside, the reason he had sat down instead of absorbing his purchases was to check up on the readers.
The comment section had been in a state of chaos since Project Mayhem started. And now that Fight Club had ended, it had brought in a new wave of that sparkling chaos into everyone.
Ikaris265—Mom, I don’t wanna be like Tyler Durden when I grow up!
Honi_Shark—The switch up is crazy.
ClincallybatshitInsane—Who switched up on my glorious, handsome, amazing, magnificent, legendary, phenomenal, sensational, iconic goat Tyler Durden?
FourthWallGuy—Bob! Why did they do my poor Bob like that?!
ftraj—Who wants to be on the wrong side of F**** C***?
SwordImmortal—What is F**** C***?
DammS—We don’t talk about it.
IAintNoPunkBitch—Seriously though, that twist was diabolical. The Narrator was like the polar opposite of Tyler, like how were they the same person?
Qin_shi_king--That pissed me off, I was looking forward to some TylerXNarrator action. Marla could’ve watched.
Chris—Didn’t they fight? Well, sort of.
Qin_shi_king--Who’s talking about fighting?
Chris—*Insert Disgusted Fujino
StoneSaysHi—Didn’t someone already call the twist?
JPMarine--We don’t talk about that.
DemonicDragon21—Is there something we can talk about?
H2oJoe—Let’s talk about what we learned from this.
Axes—Violence is good.
_oinkchan—Oh man, this is so AI.
The_warrior—Nah, it smells like Chinese.
Sage01—Are you sure about that?
PoorGod—We have to bomb the credit card companies.
IfJesusisblackdoIgetthehookup—The first rule of F**** C*** is that we don’t talk about F**** C***.
Anonymouschris—The second rule of F**** C*** is that we don’t talk about F**** C***!
NoxPax—It is like y’all are saying slurs.
AmmoGuy—I can do that.
Imanahaq—Is it just me, or is everyone becoming more unhinged?
Hastic—We don’t wanna hear that from you.
TheMaker—Really, this work was a fascinating one. It seems like the writer has a deep understanding of the human mind and how it works. It really depicts the current problem men feel, and it uses a very bad example to caution everyone about how a snowball that we ignore today can become an avalanche that can swallow humanity in the future. Reading this was probably the best decision I made during my break; the only problem was that I had spent so much time studying this Chapter by Chapter that I had forgotten about my flight to New York. The flight was a week ago.
Demonizi—Damn, bro was Focused.
Abdiezmann—Finally, someone who is not trolling.
TheMaker—It’s nothing too big; I might need to coordinate with the University there and go through a few extra steps. But compared to what I have learned from this Novel, I’d say it was worth it for me.
InbetweenCheeks—When is the physical copy being released?
Mike—Please, author, I need this; my shelf is kinda bookless.
Sydney_Swoony—Still, Tyler is hot, isn’t he?
TheRealityCheck—Tyler Durden was like a modern-day H****r.
CautiousMan—Whoa there, buddy. We don’t use the H word here.
Hastyar_Hyper—And I am gonna be the modern-day Tyler Durden; I already have the recipe for Napalm. Time to erase the debt records.
Not_Jarvis—Companies have offsite records for disaster recovery.
Hastyar_Hyper—Oh...
Not_Jarvis—And let’s say a person destroys that too; the Government will come in and bail out the major players because they are simply too big to fall. So, a bombing could either mean chaos, or become the biggest windfall for the companies involved.
FourthWallGuy—Stop kicking him when he is down, that man has a family... I think?
IExistToShit—Honestly, I’d say this was a mediocre book that was only saved by the twist ending. It’s far from logical and honestly too cringy.
Ark_D_Lucifer—Ok boys, jump him.
John looked at the website’s dashboard on his system. Fight Club alone had brought about a new 1000 readers to the site. The registered readers had reached 3000 now.
And this was before the physical copies even rolled out. He had worked hard and finally finished the illustrations, going with a grittier style and muted colours that slowly got brighter as the end approached; it was a lot like Sui Ishida’s style.
’I wonder how everyone would react to Tokyo Ghoul.’ John shook with excitement, waiting for that day as he looked through the novel file to make sure the lettering and layout were done properly.
Another thing that surprised him was that some publishing houses had reached out to him through comments, asking if he would be interested in publishing Fight Club through them.
’Too bad they can’t match the prices. Also, why would I not use what is provided to me?’ He shook his head while stretching his arms above his head.
"Isn’t the money rising a bit too fast though?"
