Master Of None

Chapter 2974. Together Then

"Before I try anything, have any of your people ever dealt with space mana?" The rest of the group had begun to chat idly with the other eyes of the sun race members. But Solen was still right beside Walker along with two others of similar strength waiting nearby in case they were needed.

"We are destined to follow the light and flame of our blood." He took this as a no but Walker also began to understand how deeply these people had grown to fight with just what they had.

He didn’t see any possibility of them wearing gear or using potions. He didn’t even understand if they could with how unique their body shape was being simply what he could call an eyeball with mana based limbs.

He even wondered if they could even consume potions or anything like that if they wished.

"Actually, I wonder if you consume herbs or potions of any form? Or if you and your people can wear armor and use weapons? I might be able to understand how to safely seal or move your entire elemental plane." This caught Solen off guard since the movements of his flame like tentacles extended and then retracted in surprise.

"We allow what we need to linger within our grip and become one with our internal sun. We have no need to do more as we are strong enough without more layers of mana." There seemed to be a little bit of miscommunication as Solen believed that by armor and weapons Walker was referring to layering magic skills on their bodies.

"What I am wearing over myself now is a set of armor. This is the eternal codex made specifically for me but it can take a form like this, a sword." Walker showed the eternal codex in sword form and how the armor underneath his cloak was protective and tough. Also how it was drawing in multiple manas around him to condense and be used.

"Ahh, I understand your meaning. You use shells and monster remnants not as fuel for your internal flames but for battle and survival. That is quite interesting. Does your internal flames not reach out to do battle for you as ours do?" Solen seemed genuinely interested and Walker couldn’t say it wasn’t for a good reason.

"That would depend on your race and your class. Remey is an alchemical brawler, she mixed her soul and body to become one and is now technically of the true spirit dragon race. Besides the fact that races can change under certain circumstances, she can use her internal flames to take a full dragon form if she so desires."

He had seen her mold flames in to a dragon form before and it was something that anyone would be impressed by. Even right now, Remey was showing off the elemental knuckles she could equip to her gauntlets and gloves to use different manas. Walker was very glad that she avoided water mana entirely since this race was extremely weak to it.

It appeared that this more ancient member of the eyes of the sun race was finding this all a little harder to grasp. Especially since this topic was far from what they knew as a race and as leaders of said race.

" I became a member of the origin race through unique means and that has allowed me to use mana manas. Including space mana along with using and learning many weapons and armors. Let alone crafting which your people may also find interesting since you take on different forms and needs than what those within the world need." He paused a slight bit letting that sink in.

"If your people were to visit the world, I can see you have very strong resistance from encountering other manas out here in the unknown and the chaotic manas on the edges. But you are very weak to water mana and there is quite a bit of water mana within the world too. So you would need resistance medicines, potions, salves, and magical buffs. We ensure everyone is safe to the best degree when visiting."

"Ambassadors of the elemental planes with weaker constitutions than yourself due to their innate affinities and lifestyles or racial qualities enjoy those benefits. We also send ambassadors with specific resistance training to venture in to such places and meet races as well."

It was a small while before Solen spoke again. Clearly, the information was too new and wild to be something easily understood and had brought up even more questions. "For the moment, it is necessary that we halt the movement of our home. We wish not to drift in to the path of another just yet."

"I understand that. Will you lend me some of your mana so that I can be gentle?" Walker saw Solen reach out toward him. It seemed that asking for assistance in this was the right move.

Walker didn’t truly need that. He believed he could use a lot of mana and seal this place temporarily.

He most likely could not do anything that would seal this elemental plane for years. Most likely a month or two at most. It was a larger elemental plane with potent sun mana. The light and fire mana mixed here was just too powerful.

But that was all the time they needed to make a choice and for the eyes of the sun race to decide as well.

The contact with the tentacle and focus of Solen’s eyes showed Walker the depth of the sun mana and the unique mix of manas that allowed it to be what it was. It also showed Solen that Walker’s strength was in more than just mana and magic. Walker easily resisted the natural damage that could come from contact that they had seen when interacting with monsters attempting to near their home.

Walker focused and changed his attention entirely to the skill to seal an elemental plane. He was not trying to condense it or anything this time. He was just trying to isolate it and alter the natural movement that would take it to anywhere else within the unknown.

Solen also was able to sense the flow of magic and strength that Walker used seeing the strength clearly. How Walker was adapting his own mana to the mana Solen shared to be softer in his manipulation. Especially as Walker grabbed and pulled back the strands of sun mana leaving their home and drifting away.

It halted the other manas that were very thin and tried to collide with their home as well. Something that the eyes of the sun race knew happened but could never halt themselves. It was just something that could not be due to the simple fact that they lacked affinities with those manas overall.

Knowing the feeling of the sun mana that the eyes of the sun race thrived in, Walker also was able to pull on that very mana to act as a barrier. It was why he was feeling a resonance with the newly acquired sealing skill and the sun mana.

Solen also sensed that the mana around their home became denser and laced together like a net of mana. The feeling of distance between them and their home was greater and brought melancholy, but it also brought a single overwhelming feeling they had never possessed.

Safety.

The sudden pull of the majority of Walker’s mana brought the rest of the group over to him. Remey was already pulling out potions to hand to him while Gil seemed to be prepared to act even more defensively if necessary.

This unity in their movement and the halt of any potential conversation showed the eyes of the sun members present exactly who and what they were dealing with.

Would anyone simply act like this in an instant? No, this was abnormal in the best of ways.

They saw exactly who stood before them offering an alliance and assurance without demanding a payment. The title of hero that they all carried was not for show but a promise to be a hero greater than what race may limit.

Beyond this, they were not holding weapons in threat, but examining the distance beyond them. Solen didn’t believe that the group would harm them. But instead believed that they would protect them first if a threat appeared!

A surge of sun mana rippled along the barrier of safety halting the movement of their home. "It seems like I was only able to buy you three weeks of stationary time. I’m sorry if I can’t do more before that time ends." Each member of the eyes of sun race who accepted being outside of their home for this was awestruck.

They had been told that the ones that helped them without strings or threat were sorry to have only helped this much?

This was by far the greatest oddity they had ever faced as a race!
